What was the type of boat they used from Manarola to Vernazza? Was it a small motorboat or a ferry type boat? Thanks

When is your cruise? What port are you going to Cinque Terre from? After a certain date they don't use boats, it's by bus and train. I ran into this exact situation. Advertised by boat, but tour was changed once onboard.

A few years ago, we took a private tour of Cinque Terre by land from Livorno. Although the views from land are not as spectacular as they are from the water, we covered much more ground. Town hopped by train. We also had time to go to the Tower of Pisa for about an hour on our way back to the ship.

A not to be missed day, how ever way you go, a simply stunning part of the world, never to be forgotten. The By Sea parts are often cancelled as to the sea conditions ,so no way of ensuring that part, as you can see by how they have to get you ashore, any swell and its not possible. The walk between some villages is wonderful anyway, just go, you will always be glad you did...One of our best shore excursions. Enjoy.
