Cable Beach or Junkanoo Beach

We will be in Nassau in two weeks on the NCL Gem. We are looking for a (free) beach that has some facilities and is close to the boat. Two names mentioned are Junkanoo and Cable Beach. Is one better than the other? Can you get to each by foot or do you need a taxi? Thank you.

Cable is nicer, 15 minutes away, no facilities. Look into Saunders beach.

Spent the day at Junkanoo a couple of years ago and had a very good time. Staff and owner at the Bikini Tiki hut were awesome. It was one of the highlights of our trip..a perfect beach day. There was on lady selling beads or something there, she only asked once and left us alone the rest of the day. I would say its about two block from senior Frogs, a very easy walk. I I have not been to cable beach. I avoid Paradise beach like the plague...to many vendors and people.
