  1. The medical review for the week. My visit with my primary today was uneventful, although two blood draws in 4 days is a lot. He does want me back in mid-May for a Pneumonia shot. There were a couple of things from my Oncologist visit Monday. I normally get a hormone shot every 3 months and a shot for bone density every 6 months. I have a tooth extraction next Friday so the bone density shot was cancelled. Even though I had radiation in January my PSA has been rising. In January he started me on a new medicine (Erleada daily capsule) which required insurance approval so it started February 3. Most of my lab results come back while I am in the office but the PSA takes 2 or 3 days. My recent PSA history: 1/16/23 0.57 4/17/23 1.4 7/17/23 1.6 10/19/23 2.5 12/19/23 3.21 Week of 1/18/24 radiation 1/22/24 5.35 2/3/24 Erlida started 2/21/24 4.13 4/19/24 2.27 Very happy about the current trend. 4. Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Paul;. I like all 3 of today’s days. I think to get somewhere one most live in both the past and the future. Cartographers play a great role in the world. I have not been to Santorini. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Pineapple and Cucumber Soup. Mixed Greens w/ Lettuce and Prime Rib of beef as served on MS Amsterdam Apil 25, 2014. A cold morning with what looks like a chilly afternoon. Regular followup with my primary doctor this afternoon and car to the shop tomorrow morning so a very busy end of the week. Roy
  5. Happy Birthday Maurice. Wouldn't a heart valve replacement be a great birthday present. Prayers that it happens soon. Roy
  6. Sounds right to me. My only cruise with the Captain who cannot be named. Roy
  7. I see several issues coming into play here. 1. I am convinced that the temporary channel will be viable well before Visions next cruise on May 25, so a return then should be viable from a navigational basis. 2. I would hope Unified Command operations would be less intense by then so that it might be possible to at least have enough space available to run cruises but am not at all confident that is the case. 3. If Vision cannot return on May 25 I see another problem. When the bridge collapsed and Vision's cruise ended in Norfolk it technically violated PVSA by not visiting a distant foreign port when sailing between 2 US cities. Forgiveness for that violation was not a difficult decision due to the emergency. If Vision were to sail from Norfolk May 25 and return to Baltimore May 30 or in June I don't think forgiveness would be so clear cut. I see a few options, a. The first couple of cruises could sail from Nassau instead of Baltimore, possibly ending with a Nassau-Baltimore repo when all is ready. b. Perhaps a waiver could be granted due to the cruise terminal being unavailable by US authorities and the ship could return to Baltimore when availability returns. c\: Once the port is open a couple of cruises could be combined to make one cruise long enough to visit the ABC Islands. I guess one cruise could also be shortened to allow the ship to deadhead from Norflok to Baltimore. Roy
  8. I was on Nieuw Statendam Fort Lauderdale to Amsterdam and never got close to Rome. I unknowingly sailed with @USN59-79 on the Amsterdam but don't think I have sailed with any dailyites that I did not know about at the time. Was that Prinsendam's final voyate? Or perhaps you got on as I got off in Fort Lauderdale after her Grand South America. Roy

  11. Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Paul;. Interesting group of dogs today. It is also International Guide Dog Day. I think I like the quote. Satellite transmission was a great day in communications history. I have been to several ports in Norway but not Leknes. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Garden Bounty, Turkey Roast with Giblet Gravy and Cranberry, and Peach Crisp as served on Nieuw Statendam April 24, 2019;\: Chilly but not cold morning that will warm up nicely for my afternoon errands, Roy
