thanks. The foot nurse has told me my skin is too delicate and to come to her in the future, to clarify, if it is a bone infection, they create sores outside,. It was the podiatrist who said it was burned and put me on the wrong path. My doctor did not argue when I emphatically said I would not return to her and only deal with the foot nurse, I guess we will find out soon enough,. Hope fully the antibiotics are not too late 🤞

Good morning and thanks to Rich, Roy, Vanessa, Ann, Debbie & Dixie. Sleep eluded me last night with the pain so the Fleet Report got posted early this morning. If you can’t sleep you might as well get up and hope you can nap later 😉 Well, I’m on enough antibiotics for a horse and hoping and praying that they work. I confess to being worried and scared. An X-Ray is scheduled for Thursday (you know it’s urgent when they get you in right away) to see if there’s anything else but mostly to rule out osteomyelitis (bone infection), referral for cat-scan, vascular surgeon & other stuff depending on how the foot responds to the antibiotics and X-Ray results. I probably won’t post a lot here other than starting until I have something good to say. No point in whining about pain and sleeplessness from it. Prayers for all who need them.

Just got off the Volendam (sister ship to the Zaandam) and had a Neptune Suite. The verandahs on both these ships are the largest of any Neptune suites in the fleet. The rooms are the largest. The only step down is the bathroom which has been pointed out but it’s not the end of the world. The dressing room area is certainly large enough to comfortably do your hair, makeup, etc. TV is on the wall, like the other ships, interactive and can be watched from the bed and the corner of the couch or on the chairs facing it. One thing to keep in mind on this class of ships is that there are few Neptune suites so the service is more personalized in the Neptune Lounge. There is no need to put your key card in the slot of the door to get into the Neptune Lounge. Just open the door. The concierge knows who everyone of her/his guests are. If you check the beginning of my Live thread, you will see how very helpful the concierge was to the “Merry Widows” when catastrophe struck with my firend’s luggage handle and my walking stick. I’m not saying you wouldn’t get the same help on the larger ships but I do think it was attended to in a very personal manner and very quickly. while the Volendam and Zaandam don’t have Tamarind or NY Pizza, they are cooking for fewer guests and the food in the MDR was very good to excellent except for 2 things. You will see the same crew and passengers which is a nice experience IMO.

Thanks very much everyone. As soon as I told the receptionist the foot nurse’s concern, I had an appointment. She is well known and respected (doctors refer to her regularly) and I fear my poor doctor lost a few minutes of her lunch hour as she was running late. good morning all. Thanks to Rich, Roy, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie & Ann. Just a quick post as I need to hobble out to the garage and attempt to get the car out and prep stuff. The foot nurse contacted me yesterday to see how my foot was after the trip and when I told her it had improved somewhat but then started to hurt at night and was difficult to walk on. I did wheel chair assistance disembarking and at the airport. Anyone who knows me, knows I wouldn’t do that unless it was unbearable. When she heard that, she asked to come right over to examine it. After her examination she agreed the outside was healed but the pain (she tested me - ouch)indicated either an infection inside or something very wrong and told me to not wait for my appointment on Wednesday but try to get in today to get antibiotics NOW along with all the referrals she wants (X-ray, vascular surgeon, orthotics - it’s a long list - not sure if the doctor will attend to it all in one appointment. her name is magic - they know how good she is and I have an appointment later this morning. Not only did she make the house call at her request - she also is making herself available if the doctor wants to talk to her about her observations. she’s a gem and I am so glad I found her. She is knowledgeable, dedicated and caring - reminds me very much of my own DD Jose. Prayers for those on the care list, those suffering losses, grief, pain health issues, worries and those that need them. Cheers to those celebrating and cruising.

Vanessa @JazzyV are you still having problems copying and pasting your Care, etc list? (Having to re-type). My FCl listing blew up and wouldnn’t paste properly. Apparently junk can form on an old listing and Brian (POA1) has fixed it for me, bless him. He also suggested not using select all or dragging to copy. You may not be using that on your Ipad but I have been. Instead he suggested using the old way of copy and paste: Here it is below in case it is of help to you: ” When I select, I don't drag. I click at the beginning. Then I hold Shift + Right Arrow to select the first character. Then, I hold Shift and press Ctrl + End. (Command = Ctrl on Apple keyboard.) Then Ctrl + C to copy.
