  1. A daily charge is added (per person) to your onboard account. The amount can vary by age.
  2. How do you know IF the bartender would have been fired?
  3. See my post above. It is unknown if a NCL employee gave alcohol to the boy who was assaulted but if anything serious had happened to the 15 year-old daughter, then people would ask "...why didn't someone report him...?".
  4. An intoxicated 15 year-old boy was sexually assaulted by another male guest on a NCL ship. Even if the NCL employee didn't plan to assault your daughter, the act of giving a 15 year-old alcohol is a very serious matter.
  5. Technically, drinks are not included with a Haven booking. You do have the option of taking the promo that covers most drinks (up to $15) anywhere on the ship. You would pay the service charge of a little over $21 per day if you take that promo. You can choose the amount that you tip the butler and concierge if you choose to tip them. You can also (controversial topic) adjust the $25 daily charge how you see fit.
  6. When doing that, some NCL Haven suites such as the aft-facing ones would also have to be called the same as the MSC Duplex lower bathroom. Another distinction could be made if a bathroom has a separate tub and shower in the same bathroom. For example, in the aft-facing Haven suites for the BA/BA Plus ships, 2 people can shower while a 3rd person takes a bath. In the MSC Duplex, only 2 people can shower or 1 person can shower while the other takes a bath....unless someone wants to take a bath in the hot-tub on the balcony. I now understand what you mean and why you use the term but it can be confusing for others who might believe that everyone in the suite has to go upstairs in order to shower. For people in other staterooms that only have a shower, I wouldn't say that they only have a half-bathroom.
  7. The Duplex Suites have 2 full bathrooms. Downstairs has a shower, toilet, and sink while upstairs has a tub/shower, toilet, and sink.
  8. I see San Benedetto water in some photos of mine but I know nothing about the source or the manufacturing process.
  9. Based on reports, the whale was about 44ft long. Just based on length and to put it into perspective, it would take 24 of them lined up end to end in order to be longer than Meraviglia.
  10. Whether 3 or 4 of the pinned threads are Yacht Club related, the Mods determine which threads get pinned, not the members. If the next 100 threads are all Bella related, those pinned threads would still be at the top of page 1. On the NCL forum, many of the threads are Haven related. There are probably more threads related to promos and service charges over there because that's what more people ask about. If more people started threads about other experience levels on the MSC forum, there would be a better balance.
  11. One of the reasons for so many Yacht Club threads and questions is that the "ship-within-a-ship" concept is new to many people. Even people who are used to the concept (NCL Haven, for example) will ask questions to see how Yacht Club and Haven compare/contrast. As the "ship-within-a-ship" concept continues to grow with the RCCL Suite Neighborhood, the Celebrity Retreat, and the Princess Sanctuary, there will be others who will compare/contrast the concept with the MSC Yacht Club. In addition, the "experiences" of MSC lead to a lot of questions. The vast majority of guests on the ship are not in the Yacht Club nor are they Aurea guests. The vast majority of guests on the ship do not have Spa Access. The vast majority of guests on the ship aren't eating in the specialty restaurants. There are "regular folks" in every part of the ship with Bella, Fantastica, Aurea, or Yacht Club experience.
  12. I just love how the article shows a cruise ship from a completely different cruise line. Imagine an article about a stolen Dodge Charger but the photo shows a Toyota Camry.
  13. They might not automatically give a bracelet to the 11 year-old. On my most recent cruise, MSC didn't give one to my youngest (10yo) which has never happened before. I just asked the concierge for one and he programmed one and gave it to her at no charge. For the OP, if not staying in the Yacht Club, the plan of buying bracelets and switching for stateroom access will work. However, if the child makes purchases with the parent's bracelet....😲
