  1. Thanks for the info. Our sailing is in jan 2024 so we are under the SM plan. Hope the free wine list has some good choices.
  2. However, if you are booked in concierge or above you can get three bags of laundry done by the ship staff for free.
  3. I believe each person must book a minimum of 4 excursions for the new Simply More package. You have a total of $800 to spend (or whatever your amount is).
  4. You must upgrade and pay quite a bit to get mixed drinks. HOWEVER, bring some miniature bottles of your favorite liquor or full size bottle and there will be free mixers in your refrig.Soda, Tonic, Coke Sprite, etc. Only drink this in your cabin and then have the free wine or beer or champagne at dinner or lunch. THIS IS A GREAT BONUS ON OCEANIA. Most cruise lines--DO NOT BRING ANY LIQUOR ON BOARD!
  5. Hanoj--thanks for your posts. Are you traveling under the "Simply More" plan? I wonder if you could post the free wine/beer package that is included with the SM sailings? Interested in just what wines are offered free at lunch and dinner.
  6. Thank you LHT28. I see you are on Vista in Sep. Are you sailing under the "Simply More" plan? If yes, can you verify those wine choices for the free beverage basic package that is included? Appreciate it.
  7. The Simply More plan includes the basic Beverage package. Free champagne, beer and wine for lunch and dinner. Does anyone have a wine list for this package? Thanks.
  8. Regarding the choosing of the minimum of 4 excursions for the "Simply More" allowance, pick all of your 4 excursions at once. We made 2 choices one day and then 2 more the next day. We were charged the wrong amount for 2 of the cruises. Had to call Oceania.
  9. I think I figured out the way that Oceania handles the $800 excursion allowance (or any higher amount). This is under the new "Simply More" booking procedure. You can go ahead and book excursions well before your sailing and when you look at an excursion, it will show 2 prices. One is the regular price and the other is a 25% discount price. When you book, then Oceania will automatically charge you the higher price. THEN, once you get to 4 excursions, the computer should charge you the lower price for each excursion. The game they are playing is "let's give the *****, $800 excursion credits and make it mandatory to select at least 4 excursions". The hope is you will go way over $800, even with the lower price and then you will owe money!!!! ***** ( fill-in any word you want!!)
  10. Thank you for those recommendations--you are great.
  11. This cruise just stops in Colon--then you take excursions. One excursion, you get on a ferry boat and travel thru some of the canal. Any inputs?
  12. Sailing on Vista on Jan 19-31. Leaves from MIA. Any recommendations for hotels that have an airport shuttle and a shuttle to take you to the port on sail day?
  13. Wife and I sailing on Vista on Jan 19 2024 (this is 4th Oceania sailing). One stop is Colon and wondering what do you recommend for these excursions? Train ride along length? Take a ferry boat and sail thru the canal? Is railroad dome car worth the extra? Thanks for your inputs.
  14. In case you are not aware!! The Vista inaugural cruise states in ends in Venice---not true. Read the fine print--it ends up in Trieste! They will fly you out of Venice if you have "air", but you will end up about 2 hours away by ferry or bus or car. Not a great way to end a cruise with a long bus ride. Venice does not now allow big ships at its port.
  15. Am interested in this cruise. We have been on four other Oceania cruises. Really enjoy them. Our other cruises were all out of Miami. Question--what are the airline trips like if you select O Life for trips out of Europe? We live in Atlanta, so should we expect non stop flights? Don't want to go thru Iceland or Toronto. I guess they now book you in premium coach? Would appreciate any comments on air. Thanks.
