  1. Gee, you two are very helpful. But are they not on the ship because they are no longer given out? Reasonable question. I figured someone on here would be kind enough to know the answer and pass it along.

We were on the May 20th Vista and did not get pins. Wondered about that but didn't ask. I had two cabins and neither had pins.

  2. I agree with all that has been said. We sailed on both Breeze and Vista in an outside cabin. Both are basically the same except for storage area. Vista has less but does have large screen tv. Love the hub app for keeping track of other member of party. Loved being able to view photos on the hub app. Enjoyed the Imax theatre and open outside areas on deck five.

If someone could comment on their MDR experience on the Vista. We felt the staff was very rushed. If we ordered soup and salad or appetizer both were delivered to the table together. I didn't feel like I had the typical dining experience. Not much interaction with servers until next to last night when they suddenly become friendly.

  3. We sailed on both ships. I loved the Magic. The theatre and comedy club had a better floor plan. Not sure if it was timing issue as our Magic cruise was quite a few years ago in Europe but I felt service was much better. The Vista cruise was last month. We enjoyed the IMAX theatre and the promenade outside deck areas. The dining service was very rushed. If we ordered two appetizers they were served together. I guess it was better than the long wait some have complained about but I hate being rushed too. Not sure if both ships have changed show schedules but late dining show was before dinner on Vista. The preshow started at 7:00 and you had a chance for a better seat. Also no more late night comedy. That started at 5:15. We did enjoy JiJi restaurant on Vista. I would have to say we enjoyed Magic more.

  4. Not sure if our dining experience was typical. We were rushed through our meals. We order a soup and appetizer. Both were served at the same time. Made for a crowded table and awkward makeover of dishes. Last night it seemed all servers were able to take time to be friendly.

  5. Since these are e-cards and not physical gift cards, does anyone have any experience with Carnival e-cards? Any trouble using them to pay on a booking or adding to an S&S account? Since we'd be emailed the card information, how does it work? Do we present the email to guest services if we'd like to add it to S&S?

    According to their description:

Carnival Gift Cards can be used towards the purchase of a Carnival cruise, online pre-purchases of shore excursions, spa experiences and Fun Shop gifts
or redeemed onboard toward the Sail & Sign account
    for gifts, drinks, and fun.

    And their Terms & Conditions:

Gift Cards are redeemable at participating Carnival Cruise Line® ships for passenger travel to pay for ticket purchases
and as deposit to an onboard account.

Thanks for this tip!! Can you add them to your onboard account using the kiosk or guest relations or do you have to call before you cruise to add to your account.

  6. Started out with RCI, celebrity, one princess and now only carnival.Thought shows were a little more entertaining on RCI and celebrity. Didn't like food at all on Princess. We were going to take another chance on RCI for 2017 but the cruise was cancelled. Usually I like the price and itinerary better on Carnival but in the end it's the thought of the melting cake at the end of the meal.

  7. I am amazed how different people have an entirely different experience on the same cruise. We were in M173 and M177. Our steward Michael was fabulous catering to our every need and always greeting us with a hello and smile. The MDR wait staff was great. We were served promptly and with few exceptions the food was very good. I had a few issues and they were taken care of by guest services. The only thing I agree on is the cabins are showing their age. The sink was a little rusted, the drawers were warped and the water in the shower fluctuated constantly. This did not stop me from having an excellent cruise.
