Everywhere I look I find the balcony the same size as other D1 rooms. I would love to find out the actual size of this room and the balcony but mostly the balcony. We are hoping to be able to have breakfast for 4 on the balcony without too much hassle. I know that you folk know so help me out here. Thanks.

I took a Chromebook two years ago. Why I did not send it overboard is beyond me. I purchased it the day before the cruise as my laptop died. I now have a mac. Mac is out of the price range I know. I think an ipad would work great but the thing I found other than just hating the Chromebook was that it did not pick up the signal well. My Mac does great. When cruising the signal may not always be the best from what we have seen so sensitivity to me would be crucial.

For some reason the bus out never seems as much fun as the bus in :)

Thanks for the great review. This is why I use to come to CC but have left due to the snotty folks who would not have fun even if they ran the ship. This is how a revue should look. Not all perfect. Would not expect it to be. Nothing but a couple out for a great time. Beats working. We will be on this ship in Feb of 2018 and now have a pretty good idea of what to expect. The pics are magnificent. Not sure my iphone is anywhere near as good at pics. If you had one don't miss on the ship what would it be? Thanks again.

Thank you for the great review. For once a critic that does not think they are a professional basher. I do not come to cruise critic very often anymore as most folks just bash. We will be on that ship in 2018 and sure do appreciate what you are doing. We are in an aft cabin on that one.

I would think it would be like most ships. They will make a pretty big deal out of it. Last year on the Oasis it was everywhere and they had a large party for it. Then again the Broncos were on so it is always a pretty big deal :)

The 9 day NOS itinerary doesn't start until Dec 9, 2016. Keep your eye out for reviews from the Dec 9 and Jan 20, 2017 nine day cruises.
That is pretty much what I needed to know. I was hoping a menu would be out for those traveling before us. Thanks.

We are cruising on Feb 3 on the Navigator for 9 days. I am hoping to find the menu for this cruise so we can decide what nights we may want to indulge in alternative eateries. Some nights the menu just does not look as good as other nights so looking to plan ahead if possible. Where would I find this if possible?

Here is an article from a CC member that may be right on the money. Thanks everyone for the input.

Great article and great help. I would have to believe that is the ship. Thanks to all so much.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I am going to ask Dad today if he could have the name wrong. Mom is no help anymore at this point. :( I bet the cruise back then was amazing. I remember him going as I was about 16 at the time. I have asked him why he never went again. My parents purchased a house in Florida and vacationed there instead.
-
I know it was 75 or 76. They tried looking him up by name but nothing showed. He cannot remember all the ports except the ones I mentioned.
-
Just called and they could not find him in the database. Nice try though and have to say she really tried. He says he went out of Fort Lauderdale.
-
Just call Holland. They'll look it up for you--and even tell you what class cabin they had.
Seriously? I am going to try that. Thanks.
To everyone responding I am very appreciative. My Mom is no help as she is now in a home with Alzheimer's. This is very interesting for me. Thanks again everyone.

My Dad is over visiting today before heading south. We were talking about the one and only cruise he and my mother did in about 1975. He thinks the ship name may have been Statendam or something to that effect. He did visit St. Thomas, Venezuela, St. Martin possibly, and maybe another. Dad is 90 so this information is limited. We were trying to get a comparison of yesteryear cruises and ships. Cruise would have been in Jan or Feb

They may be overpriced to some but not to others. Depends on if you want a memory or just a massage. I would wait until I board to see if they have a special for that day.
-
With drink packages on sale along with internet has anyone ever seen any spa packages go on sale before the sail date? We have run into special while on board but never before that. Have you?
-
I just booked the stream. 30 more for 9 days. I expect I would never get an answer from RC and I do value my time. Stream for me.
-
The difference is around $5 per day, or less than one alcoholic drink. Why not just opt for the higher speed and forget about the analysis.
Exactly what I am thinking but I was bored.

Which one would you pick with 3 online stores, one business facebook page and 5 email addys along with odds and ends? The lower one should do it but hate to cheap out and wish I got the higher one.

Sitting here at our campground and had to tether to my phone as the wifi is moving so slow the computer could not move. Have to run a test to see what it is at but don't want to sit and wait for it. I agree that RC is not going to disclose as some folks could run a test and not get the same results. Could open issues for them.

On most ships, Surf is limited to about .5Mbps down (some O3B ships may have a higher limit). On non O3B ships, Stream is limited to about 4 Mbps, while on O3B ships they are limited to about 25 Mbps (however, Freedom reported much lower limits for Stream).
.5 mbps would stop me right up. 25 mbps would be plenty fast. Is there anyplace where I can find this info from RC short of a phone call that they will not be able to provide me with the info either?

I switched to Stream from Surf after the first day last week on Vision. It just wasn't snappy enough for what I needed to do online, which required accessing multiple websites quickly (I didn't stream anything).
Even then, it was a lot slower than I would have liked, and got slower the further we got from Venice.
That said, I've found that Voom on the newer ships is very speedy, and it's not in the same class when retrofitted onto older ships.
The captain did say that RCL is in the process of changing providers on the older ships, so it should be better in the future.
That is interesting. I do not need to use it heavily but do want it to move right along when I do.

Thanks for that update. Hoping to fit 4 comfortable. Usually do a hump cabin and trying to get an idea if it is much larger.
