  1. I do not see me streaming anything but I am under the impression that there must be a speed difference. I do have to do some work on the ship and would hate to have the lower package be slow but my work is mostly email related. I will surf but no stream. Does anyone know the speed differences or is it a use throttle that makes the diff?

  2. I use a small portable cpap machine on the cruise with no water. I figure there is enough humidity in the air I don't need it. It is the same air we breath without the machine. I do run water during the winter with pellet stove going but not in the summer. The smaller portable machine is very nice. I bring that and a cord and don't have to depend on anyone. Pretty important machine. I prefer to do it myself but I am sure they will help on the ship also.

  3. Never have I ever been offended by anyone wearing a tux trying to be someone they are not. If you want to wear a tux I am good with it. If you are dressing to impress rest assured it will not impress me. If you are trying to impress the folks you came with then by all means get a tux. I will follow the rules as that is who I am. If someone wears shorts in the mdr I am comfortable enough in who I am to not care and actually not notice. I am there with my beautiful wife and I will be paying attention to what she will be wearing. I will not be paying attention to you.

  4. I have never understood why a full grown man or woman would be concerned with what another person is wearing? Why do you care and how did it hurt you? If a person does wear shorts should they be able to complain that you look funny? Do some people just like to complain? I do not care what anyone wears. Yes I do dress up. No, I do not care if you do. Yes I am an adult. They paid to be there. You are not forced to be there. Don't go if it bothers you.

  5. We finally booked our cruise for 2018. It came down to the new Vista or the Reflection. One was 8 days one was 11 days. With the Vista if you want one drink package both people have to purchase it. That was over $1000. Drink package is included on the Reflection. If we had gone on the Vista we would not have purchased two drink packages though so the amount would not have been $1000 for us. We would have paid as we went as we are not large drinkers but do indulge. When adding in drink packages the price for the Vista 8 day was almost the same as the Reflection 11 day. The Vista looks awesome but we had to think how many times are we really going to go down the spiral water tube? We have no intention of waiting in line to bicycle around the top deck. We spend more of our time around the adult pools which also looks very nice on the Vista. We hear that the food is better on Celebrity than Carnival but we have never done Celebrity before. Food on Carnival was very good on the cruise we have done. We do not cruise with children so that is not a concern. When we finally made the decision I think it came to the quality that we hear about with Celebrity. Just looking for a nice quiet cruise with an outstanding itinerary. I could not see why I would pick an 8 day on a new ship over an 11 day on an outstanding ship. Part of me just plain wanted to do a new ship but once I got that out of my head my decision was clear.....for us.

  6. I also love the aft cabins. 8355 on the Reflection is a SV with normal width aft balcony. There are SV cabins with wider balconies: my first choice would be 8348, which is next to 8355. Also wider are 7366 (my second choice) and 6314. If any of these are available, I'd suggest moving to them for the larger balcony, and you keep the great view of the wake.

Quick question if you don't mind. I have the opportunity to go to room 7366 and also drop the price 100 but when I read up on the balcony size from folks in it they say pretty much average. It looks like they are saying the sister ship has a large balcony for 7366. Just looking to verify that you were talking about the reflection and not the silhouette? Thanks again.

  7. Keep in mind that when ships go into drydock the primary reason is to take care of maintenance that can't be done while the ship is in the water.

Below website has her going into drydock Oct. of 17 but these are not always accurate. You should scroll down a bit.

Thanks for the link. I imagine more will be said when the time gets closer. Thanks again.

  8. I did take a quick peak at the aft rooms mentioned and the 8th floor one is gone. The 7th floor one appears to be avail. but when I checked it was only 5 square feet larger in the balcony. That certainly is a diff. but not sure enough to warrant a room change. I am thinking on it though. That makes it 10% larger than the one I have but probably not large enough for 4 of us to have coffee or breakfast on? Thanks everyone for the ideas.

    Thanks. I will check.

  10. Right now we are booked in room 8355. Talked to the couple that we cruise with today and they said if we did an aqua room they were not going to spend that much so we would not all be eating together. We don't want to do that. Pretty sure we will back off to just a regular balcony room as soon as they decide that they are in on this cruise. I kind of dropped it on them yesterday. Sometimes I think back to the first cruise we ever did and remember the discussion of spending the extra money for a room with a window or an inside room.

  11. New to Celebrity so have some questions. Yesterday I booked an aft cabin. I was under the impression that the balcony would be larger than others due to it being an aft. It is on all the RC ships I have been on so I thought the same here. After more research I find out that the aft is not larger. Now I am thinking I am spending a lot of money to watch a wake that I do not intend to do for large periods of time. This room was not cheap compared to a basic balcony room. My question is what is your favorite room and why? I am not stepping up to a suite so balcony rooms only please. Is the Aqua room worth it with the opportunity to go to blu and the relaxation room? Is blu worth anything? The aqua room is right about the same money and looks like things that my wife may prefer. I think that no ones knows more about the ship than you folks and that is why I am here asking. Thanks for any insight you can give me so I do not make a mistake. I am not giving up my aft until I hear some ideas. Thanks.
