I think as well as the unique ports there is the fact that you Dock in the towns and cities. In St Petersburg we were in the centre, larger ships have to transport their passengers on a bus for 1.5 hours. We were there giving you all.that extra time (3 hours a day) to explore. The same in Seville, Bordeaux, Istanbul and numerous other ports. So as well as great itineraries you are usually docked in the heart of the action. Being able to get off and immediately explore is a real plus for us.

Our September Black Sea cruise in a CC stateroom was £8500 when we booked it but it has been lifted and shifted from 2020 to 2021 and now 2022.

The September cruise had cut ports even before the current situation began and so we envisage loss of more ports with the uncertain situation.

Just had an email from Azamara saying thus is currently going ahead. Has anyone heard about earlier cruises to the Black Sea? We have been cancelled previously so aren't surprised that it is being monitored currently

There is little noise in deck 8 cabins. 15 cruises and the only sound is slight movement when setting up Windows for breakfast

Can't find similar ports on other cruises and the ships Dock in the towns. Bucketlist destinations for many of us!

Our cruises to the Black Sea have been cancelled due to unrest in the past. We aren't confident that the one planned for 2022 Will go ahead.

Don't jet2.com fly direct to Barcelona?

Our sons found several.companies on TripAdvisor and booked one for us.
I understand there are more golf carts now than 3 or 4 years ago.

We booked a private trip to Petra when on Azamara. A taxi picked us up, we had a number of photo opportunities en route and a drinks break, once at Oeyra we had a guide and an electric golf cart and driver. We went down to the treasury with a number of stops, plenty of time to wander at the bottom and have a drink, take photos, meet the camels and then back to the top for lunch. My husband had been unwell and our sons felt that it was the best way for us to visit. It was a really good day and the guide was excellent. It was well worth the cost. It is a long walk, very hot and the path isn't easy as there are loose stones and potholes. We found it on a website offering private tours. We stopped on the way back to the ship too.

We cancelled our b2b2b commencing on Aprl 5th about a week before the final.payment was due. We didn't feel able to plan port exploration in ports with the current situation and France looking like a no go for Brits. We can always reconsider and book on the last minute but we enjoy planning, reading the tour guides and booking hire cars, private tours etc. We felt so uncertain about nearly on board if there was little chance to go on shore alone and wander.

The only trips I can find appears to disembark in Dublin and the next cruise is from Southampton. Have I misunderstood ?

We have been in several different cabins on Deck 8. If belowxwindows you hear a little noise as they set up.for breakfast but it slight and from about 7 15. We have stayed in cc and verandah cabins but always with a balcony and there is none that we wouldn't stay in again. 15 cruises done and 5 more booked.

We have never found it a problem. Always been on Deck 8.

We have cancelled b2b2b in April because of the uncertainty and the differeing rules between countries. France has closed their borders to British citizens but for how long. We havec2 more cruises booked.....one from South Africa and hopefully but not confident they will.sail.

We got off in Israel and stayed overnight in Jerusalem so we got much longer there than travelling backwards and forwards. We just informed guest services and they were happy with our plans.

The Perry Golf people did their own thing on shore and in the ship joined in with us all. A great group of fellow cruisers

It is great walking with no cars to.avoid or bikes to consider on the traffic free pavements in the residential.areas or on Burano and Murano. Having visited for 50 years since a school.trip it is totally magical with something fantastic to see around every corner and across every bridge.

We have visited Venice several times. Renting an apartment in a residential.area is a good option so you can eat, shop, drink in local places with the residents. You can wander when quieter and use vaporetto to get about. Don't miss Venice. It isn't Disney it is a living, working city with a lovely community especially when the day trippers leave

We have had a similar problem with cricket Test match tickets when the game was cancelled. The card has been renewed since we paid 2 years ago and they cannot automatically repay us. Probably a smaller amount but to safe guard us all from.money laundering and fraud banks are cautious and accurate details are required.

I forgot to mention in an earlier post the joy of walking into Ho Chi Minh and wandering into Bangkok.
Yangoon was a drive into the city but closer than many ships dock.
Small ships get so close to the action
