IIRC, on WC2019 Silversea ran a ferry shuttle from Circular Quay to White Bay Terminal when Whisper was docked there. That's not to say of course that it will happen again this year. -

First Impressions of Silversea (Whisper)
turtlemichael replied to Host Jazzbeau's topic in Silversea
The dumbing down of food for cost saving purposes, now widely reported on Silversea and other lines post-covid, is a big concern to me. I've never expected, or received, Michelin star standard food but have generally had very good meals, matching the service, on Silversea. This is one of the reasons we cruise particularly as we get older and the attractions of 8 hour hikes and tours or long flights to a ship, diminish. Am I better off choosing a nice hotel or resort in a great location with excellent restaurants on the property and nearby rather than a Silversea cruise? The other bit I can't grasp is that all luxury lines know that their future is in both looking after us old fuddy-duddies but also in attracting affluent young cruisers. They demand good food. -

There might be a reason of course but the thought did cross my mind that the breakfast and lunch must be particularly good today! 😆 -

Isn't there a movie Play Mystic For Me ? -
You appear to be disagreeing with something I did not say. I know it depends on the terms of the contract and I do not know those terms. You probably don't either. Silversea have already changed spinnaker2's flights so they have more than one option. Spinnaker2 will never get a satisfactory resolution unless they challenge unsatisfactory arrangements. They may still not get a good outcome but they certainly won't unless they try.
-
As they offered you flights via Seattle, I guess it is Icelandair ? Given the number of more convenient, for you, locations in the US that they fly to it is likely Silversea does not have contracts for those destinations. It's a bit hard to fathom that they would not have a NYC-KEF contract. Keep fighting!

DavyWavey70 clearly fabulous weather for the visit to the Sounds.

Hope you at THE Shangri La not the shangri la!!!!!! (That was an attempt at humour!)

I've noticed some of your comments over the past few months and just took the time to look through a number of them again. If I am correct your first cruise on Silversea is booked for October later this year? With sincere respect I would carefully look at whether you really want to do it. I think that it is going to be very hard for you to enjoy it. As you are pleased with Oceania and Viking I would certainly consider those very good lines. Of course, a factor is whether you can get a refund still. Of course, just my humble opinion.

I did that train trip many years ago (when Adam was a boy). It is amazing. I guess Mysty has told you that Adelaide, another of your stops I think, is her favourite city in the world? See if you can find a property for her as we need her here!

Davey, the last pic is I think of a section of the Perth-Kalgoorlie water pipeline, an amazing engineering achievement in its time that keeps the Goldfields area in water today 120 years later. Goldfields Water Supply Scheme - Wikipedia

You caused me to smirk a bit. Not at your situation which is frustrating and annoying, but because of its familiarity ! Your patience will be needed.
