  1. Thanks for the great info morpheusofthese!
  2. Does anyone know how long we will have to be off the ship on a BTB in Miami. Any info/advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
  3. DON"T DO IT! A passenger in Australia just found out the hard way. $3200 AU fine for trying it. Other countries might not be as strict but why chance it.
  4. Not sure what type of cabin you are in but if it is the Haven the concierge will do it for you. That's how we booked ours on our cruise leaving the day after tomorrow
  5. Free at sea is only for the first two passengers on the booking. The third person is on a pay as you go basis
  6. Le Bistro in a heart beat. Let me qualify that comment. We stay in the Haven every time and I can get great prime rib or tenderloin at every dinner so going to the steak house is really a waste for us. I will say that the beef at Cagney's is second to none at sea and we have cruise on five different lines.
  7. Our cruise in Feb has been moved to berth 46 in the outer harbor from the main cruise terminal. Has anyone ever left from there before? If so what was it like and more importantly can a taxi take us directly there. Thanks in advance for any info that you can provide.
  8. Yes. Initial and final. At port stops you will be able to get off the ship within an hour of docking and "all aboard time" is normally 30 min prior to sailing time. Just make sure you take a quick look at the sign as you get off the ship and make sure your watch is on "ships time". Not often, but I have seen ships time and local time differ.
  9. It had a 50 M revamp a year after it was built when it was removed from the Asian market. Agree with the above. Things like new carpets, worn furniture and alike. Five weeks could also entail some maintenance and hull touch ups in a dry dock as well.
  10. We just got off the Breakaway about a week ago and are booked on the Joy next month. In total I saw maybe a dozen people with masks on. Most of them were crew.
  11. On our last Haven cruise there was a reserved section for Haven guests at all of the shows in the main theater. Is this still the case or does one now have to make reservations once onboard. Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. We have stayed in both Haven suites in and out of the Haven proper. Although being directly in the Haven puts you closer to the amenities the experience has been equally great regardless of where our suite actually was. Our next two cruises are both in the Haven but outside the complex and I'm certain we won't be disappointed.
  13. I did it two years ago when I bought a excursion for my daughters family who were staying in another room. NCL didn't say a word as I'm sure they were just happy to sell 7 tickets instead of none. I don't see any issue at all.
  14. Always pay in US dollars. The exchange rate cruise companies charge is way higher than your bank or CC company will
  15. We have never flown through SFO but will be soon. Does anyone know how long it will take to change between terminals (from 2 to 1) We are arriving from Canada on AC and will be boarding UA. We will have pre cleared customs and immigration prior to leaving Edmonton as US Customs has a station here. Thanks in advance for any help.
  16. I own shares in my RRSP (Canadian equivalent of your IRA) and I have never had a issue getting the OBC.
