  1. It was a tours by locals Kotor, Perast private tour with speed boat. We had a group of 6 and did not do the longer tour that included lunch (but that would probably ave been nice) We had a male guide (not sure of his name, maybe Ivan?) Hope this helps.
  2. We have been to many ports. Kotor is one of the best. You can easily walk around with beautiful vistas, a walk of the walls, good shopping. However, we took a private tour which pointed out some sites we might have missed, and included a boat trip to the beautiful island with a church that you would have passed by on your way there. It was beautiful and interesting. On the way back, in a boat - way smaller than our cruise ship - with local music playing, we cruised back thru that incredible fjord and we experienced "wow - this is the life!!!"
  3. We have found that the Regent dining experience is mostly very nice, but some meals on Oceania (either in Jacques or Red Ginger) are memorable.
  4. I could not agree with you more about dropping Jacques on the Vista was ill advised!!! One of the reasons we book Oceania is Jacques and Red Ginger. Many ships are beautiful, many have great service and itineraries, but only Oceania has some restaurants which are memorable. I guess I like food, and my palate has developed over time. Might I suggest at Jacques the sea bass in puff pastry for 2? Memorable. About the only food pic I have ever taken. Also, consider the pea vichyssoise. First spoonful OK. Next spoon OHHH. The first time I realized what depth of flavor is. It is a small portion. So try it!
  5. Back in October, I thought this was a snarky comment since that was what it was going to be for us ("That's a suckers (sic) bet"). I am almost afraid to write this out, but we just got our flight, and I could not have asked for any better. A one stop (in Houston) from Pittsburgh to Sydney with decent connection time. I am so grateful. We had previously always been treated well for flights by Regent, but these posts had me so worried!
  6. How about the popcorn sundae?? I am usually not a desert eater, but I save room for this.😋
  7. I agree with this! One of the best ports we have been to. Be on deck sailing in - so beautiful.
  8. Both Oceania and Regent pretty well spell out what all is included. Regent includes business air all cabins, and this is stated. Oceania gives prices with or without included regular airfare. I have had trouble determining what is included on Seabourn or Azamara.
  9. Can you wait to see what you get and then deviate if you do not like their offering?
  10. We do not have air travel schedule! I guess, and my TA agrees, Regent is busy rescheduling the Mid East so our will be done at the last possible time - I think it is November 5 or 6. Another post said they missed connection due to a short connection time. We do not know what ours will be. Several previous Regent air trips were perfectly fine, but recently people have been complaining.
  11. We are concierge so will be arriving a day early. According to our cruise documents arriving 1/18 with included "free" Shangri La Hotel embarking 1/19. It is too short of connections that I am concerned about.
  12. All the recent chatter about the flight deviations is getting me pretty worried. We are also on the cruise out of Australia in January and have not gotten our flight itinerary yet. We have never done anything special, and have always had good air provided by Regent despite definitely not flying from a US gateway city. The flight to Sydney will be the farthest that Regent will book us although they were fine with Bangkok and Hong Kong, Of course, now that I think about it, the other long flights were pre-covid.
  13. Our window to book specialty restaurants opened yesterday, but we forgot! No problem. Just went on and had no problem booking our preferred time and preferred days. (We do always share) Credit due! Mike Moore, if you are monitoring, this was the nicest and easiest web set up we have done so far. Good work in developing. Each date shows what shore excursions you have booked, and when you will be back so no need to look up your schedule.
  14. If we schedule our own air will we still get transfers to ship provided by Viking. What if we have a 3 day pre cruise extension and schedule out own airfare, will Viking still provide transfer to hotel to begin tour.
  15. We recently looked into booking a Great Britain cruise a few months after excursions opened, Paid deposit and then had several days to look at excursions. None of the ones we would really like were still available, so we cancelled and got 100% of money returned,
  16. Just got 2 emails from Regent that our reservations open Saturday at 8:00 PM. Not sure if this was part of a mass emailing or if they read question.
  17. Just got 2 emails from Regent that our reservations open Saturday at 8:00 PM. Not sure if this was part of a mass emailing or if they read question.
  18. When dining reservations open, is it true that means 8:00 PM EST that day (or is it 12:01 EST ?)
  19. There have been situations where upon cruise line offered a 125% FCC or a 100% refund. I believe that was our offer from Viking when a cruise was cancelled during covid times. However, we still took the cash at hand despite later rebooking that same exact cruise.

    STEP?

Thanks. I will look into it

    STEP?

What is STEP? When i googled it nothing that seemed relevant popped up
  22. We have been on several Regent cruises. My husband has never worn a jacket. We find the attire on Oceania and Regent the same.
  23. And taking into account that Regent's included airfare is business class while Oceania is economy, we choose Regent when going that far. When we add business upgrade to an Oceania or Viking trip, Regent always comes in actually less expensive and is totally all inclusive.
