  1. Remember the grilled tournedos are beef filet. I saw a review video where someone said they “have to watch out for the Italian words” as they didn’t realize that’s what was offered. 😆 bunch of photos attached! I had the octopus soup which was nice.
  2. Here was ours on Meraviglia QR_W_YC_LUNCH_DAY1_EN_1682705785.pdf. (Also the MSC lobster roll is better than X’s 😆… friends like the roll especially. I got just the stuffing as a side with my burger on Ocean Cay) I’m embarrassed to admit I also had a “second lunch” at sailaway at the grill. They’re open pretty late. The lamb chops up there and often scallops/shrimp grilled are great.
  3. Bummer - I had heard such good things about this part of YC. I didn’t do any excursions in April so wasn’t sure. Did they explain if this is the case everywhere or?
  4. Craig left for vacation just a couple weeks ago. Alin is on now as YC Director. I am glad you enjoyed the show - I thought the same about Houdini, that it wasn’t strung together real well but the singers were talented and I enjoyed the format. Rock Circus had a much better theme and story to me. In the future I’d probably only do Rock Circus.
  5. Good to know. Thanks! I am sure by the time our October cruise comes, the staff will be a lot more familiar than they were for the inaugural from NY. Even then, things moved pretty well.
  6. Had you coordinated with butler? Or was it with the staff there on the island at the transport center when you first walk out that slipped on the coordination?
  7. They haven’t been doing this on Meraviglia, unfortunately.
  8. So sorry to hear this. Would you have any tips to prevent this happening for others?
  9. I got a little intimidated in the moment not wanting to double park and drove past tent when I was on solo in April. I only had one bag so just parked and walked it over. But, when I go next time with my family I will wait and unload at or near the tent. The spots there are long, to accommodate vans/buses or really two regular vehicles. I circled the area on the map attached. This is best so you get supposedly priority luggage handling but if you end up with the regular porters I don’t think it’s the end of the world either.
  10. Poolside grill definitely open. They even will open a bit earlier if they know people want to go there to watch sail-in, for instance we had a 1:00 arrival in Nassau and I think they opened (maybe unofficially at 11:30 that day). I had a very late breakfast at the grill the day of OC and the staff were up there.
  11. So excited to follow along! Hope you are settling down to lunch at The One grill or in the YC restaurant. It’s a beautiful day today on the Jersey Shore so I am sure The One deck will be hopping for sail away! I’ll have an eye out for the ship later! I usually can see it go by each Sunday now. I had such a nice time in April and am excited to return in October with my family. Love living vicariously through these posts until then!
  12. The date that I saved this is actually after I returned home, which means I found it online. So take it with a grain of salt. SpecialtyDining_EN.pdf
  13. I agree - I boarded in New York. I checked my photos and I had parked at 10:39 and was being walked on board at 11:08. The only issue is in my scenario the ship had arrived two days earlier, so there were not debarking guests. I will try to arrive at this time or probably a bit earlier when I return in October but will expect a wait in the shoreside lounge.
  14. And remember, if you do have to wait, the waiting area for the Yacht Club is much more comfortable and there's champagne, snacks, etc.
  15. Do you know how long Alin will be on? I know he’s just joined a couple weeks ago. We’re back for 10/25 and wonder if he will still be on.
  16. Definitely mention to the jr butler ASAP. I was on in April and solo. They explained most of the mattresses are tied together but they don’t always get retied after having been used as separate beds. It takes the butler and junior working together to do it. I guess it is mostly an issue when solo like I was. Anyway, after they did that it was much better. They seemed to not have any mattress pad which I had suggested. Have a good time!
  17. I just wish for their suite product on Celebrity they would invest in... immersion heaters? A warmer in the station? something? to make hot soup or keep other things hot for their top paying guests. It's a bit wild.
  18. Fortunately it’s the opposite - on S and M class on Celebrity, Luminae is the only restaurant without its own galley. We had a lot of lukewarm soups because they came from the main galley in Luminae on Solstice. (This has been remedied on E class) On Meraviglia, I commented to the staff about how lovely and hot their soups were!
  19. 100% this! People don't seem to get how the balcony is used so much differently in YC than you would in the rest of the ship. I would have been happy staying in the YC inside. Did you have interest in upgrading when you boarded or was it not available? I did that as the YC balconies were not sold out on my sailing in April.
  20. Yep, definitely saw folks getting pizza there via the butlers.
  21. Here is the Meraviglia YC room service, pizza, and other items menu. QR_DD_YC-ROOM-SERVICE_OTHER_DAYX_EN_1682366625.pdf
  22. For next time - just ask in the YC restaurant. Folks did that a couple weeks ago on my sailing.
  23. Glad to hear you are having a good time, despite the hold up with boarding by a bit and the busy Memorial Day weekend sailing. Enjoy!
  24. On Meraviglia 4/22 we had a great reception second day with captain visiting each table, passed drinks, snacks, etc. 10:45 A.M. The YC director, Craig, hosted a trivia on second to last sea day in afternoon that was great fun. There was a special high tea one of the last days in TSL as well. Really enjoyed these events.
