  1. Yes, I'm leaning towards not bothering with doing the other one. A nice morning on the ship sounds fine too.
  2. Do you know if by calling O a human allows you to book tighter than 1.5 hours, such as 1 hour apart or is the 1.5 hours a hard and fast rule?
  3. In general my preference would be to cruise more often in a regular veranda OR go less often and splurge for the suite. CC has very little to offer and so many times demands a handsome upcharge. With aqua you are getting tangible benefits like the Persian Garden and not having to eat in the MDR, but do look at costs to be sure the SS isn't that far away or consider a bid. Millennium is renovated great, with the Retreat sundeck.
  4. I should have been a little more comprehensive in describing what happened. The menu I'm referencing that appeared was the physical one in the suite. I am not sure I actually opened the room service section of the Celebrity app once I moved to the RS to see if it "knew" I had moved and unlocked the menu, so to say. In any event, I wasn't charged when ordering items from there and there was no upcharge printed on the menu in the RS. I think they are using AQ or CC room service menus in the Sky Suites maybe so that folks doesn't see the printed upcharge and get upset, if previously those items were available to SSs. I can also say the butlers for the SSs are somewhat unfamiliar with the premium items, so this has been going on a while. One day after the move my old butler from the SS was covering lunch for the RS/PS butler. I asked for, besides our entrees, mac and cheese which was one of the always available sides on the suites room service menu. He arrived and a bit exasperated and apologetic that he couldn't find the Mac and cheese and that the Luminae chef didn't know how to make any or was otherwise unwilling (... sounds right for this cruise) - when I pointed out that it was one of the standard sides, he knew where to find it. So I am sure for his time there his suites haven't been offered that menu.
  5. I was on Solstice a couple weeks ago in a Sky Suite and moved to a Royal Suite for the next week. I was disappointed that in the SS the special suite menu was not there since when I had viewed it on the app it didn't indicate it wasn't for SS. I asked the butler "is this the suite menu?" and he said yes. When I moved to the RS, the full menu was there with the filet, crab cakes, salmon/caviar omelette, etc. I noticed a couple weeks before the menu disappeared from the app.
  6. Also the locations aren't super accurate. You might not realize an order is being fulfilled from a different location or sometimes they're just off.
  7. We've just returned from two weeks on Solstice. It's in great shape. Seems a lot of carpet was replaced, furnishings in cabins are nice but of course are the older theme rather than the grays. It's well kept.
  8. Presumably you're at San Pedro for the Solstice. We arrived at 10:30 or 10:45 or so this month and it was just fine to go ahead and get on board.
  9. I just wanted to come back to this for others - I wisely canceled the digital package based on your advice but got a VM from the photo gallery that the photo book I ordered was no longer available and so they were giving me a free digital package instead! Of course, that's not a great deal since I paid more for the book than the digital package costs with Elite. I went down and they're going to refund the book and I bought the digital package. But now for next week I've gone in and canceled both from my planner to avoid the hassle. Thanks again.
  10. I'm on Solstice now - that's correct. @SLOTheta yes the menu is a bit nicer on formal nights. I did see a couple tuxedos last night, but they're relatively rare. People generally do whatever they like, but most people dress nicer on formal nights. Maybe a sports coat for men, for instance. Murano is lovely and my favorite on Celebrity. We won't bother with Tuscan Grille as we had enough of it on M-class, and Le Petit Chef is sort of "one and done" but that does mean you should give it a shot since it's new to you. You'll have a great time.
  11. This looks to be a senior level three-stripe officer. Not uncommon to see them (in addition to the more junior A/B seamen, as they're called) at the helm of a tender. Not too long from now she may be master of Solstice or another Celebrity vessel. Celebrity has done a great job, I think, with diversity and inclusion.
  12. Any feedback from B2B process or otherwise from today’s turnaround day in San Pedro?
  13. Crazy! I’ve been booked since July. Thank you.
  14. Still no contact for 10/22 RS on Solstice - boarding 10/15 but in SS for first leg. I figure I'll call early next week. Does anyone know who is handling the Solstice shoreside now?
  15. I got the CC one too and think I am going to make a Christmas gift of summer (non-cruise) beach memories with that one. I did go in and cancel the digital package, so thanks again for that!
  16. Thank you so much for your very detailed review! I'm on 10/15 and 10/22. Will probably go in and cancel my pre-purchased digital photo packages. You didn't happen to notice how much they were charging for the photo book add-on did you? The CC benefit is worded "40% discount on any digital or print photo package at the Photo Gallery" so I'd assume it doesn't apply to the book. Also, are they still doing prints for $5 ea. if you already bought digital? They did that when I was on Silhouette and my mom might like that although I'd prefer to just get printed at home.
  17. Awesome. She's incredible. I spent a few cruises with Marren, although it took me a little time to find her when I was distracted by the Sunset Bar and then the Martini Bar initially. Then my parents joined for the canal and Cellar Masters was by then firmly our spot every night, in the chairs nearer to the MDR. Tell her hi from Brian and Denise & Turner. I'll be back solo February 3 on the FLL to San Juan leg. So glad she's back in Cellar Masters. Thanks 🙂
  18. Keeping my fingers crossed for a coffee machine to appear in Solstice RS. Would really love that and I plan to request from shoreside for 10/22 cruise (no contact yet, I'll call at some point if they don't) and again check when onboard in case the Butler knows of one lying around somewhere.
  19. Yikes. Anyone know when Bruno's headed to vacation?
  20. Awesome! I guess that means I’ll get to see her in February when I’m back on Millennium. Adrian from the casino and pool bars, who is excellent will be back in a couple weeks too. Have they put Marren back in Cellar Masters? She ran that place like a fine oiled machine. She learned last night of the canal cruise she was being rotated into the dining room as a sommelier instead. Is Jenny still her sidekick in Cellar Masters?
  21. I've not yet been on Reflection, some say the extra cabins create some crowding in public spaces, especially Luminae given many of the additional cabins are suites. But I did absolutely love The Porch and Lawn Club Grille on Silhouette, so for that reason have been keeping an eye out for Silhouette and Reflection itineraries. I think the additional specialty options make a big difference.
  22. I got the same in the spring when I did 10-4-10.
  23. Have fun. We did the prior canal transit in April. Was a big bucket list item for us and acted quickly when we saw FV cabins available. The addition/swapping of Solstice and Millennium created a lot of inventory, great prices, and probably a lot of limited capacity sailings. We are taking advantage by doing Solstice B2B in a couple weeks. Sorry to hear it about PV. Is Marren still one of the sommeliers?
  24. Did anyone go through the B2B process today? We're on 10/15 and 10/22 so curious to know how it is working now that this is the first possible RT LA B2B pair. Do you have to get off the ship? How's the champagne holding up? How was the Retreat boarding process in LA? How soon could Retreat guests board?
