You should be proactive and call NCL now to demand a free cruise or at least specify the upgraded cabin better doesn't come with a chipped sink.

If you have it in writing I would go for it, you will not gain nor lose points, print that email just in case you need to back it up post cruise, if you can justify this by gaining a better balcony category by all means jump on it.

Those numbers are just an approximate based on numerous lines, as well.

 

People need to stop freaking out, accept that NCL has policies on how they pay and reward their employees that will remain unbeknown to you, and either sail with them, or choose not to. If their employees were so mistreated and underpaid, they wouldn't be there and they wouldn't keep renewing their contracts.

AE, if we ever share a boat with you I'll buy you and your BF a drink I'll even tip extra to make up for the Weiner's that have the gratuities removed

I hear that All Inclusive Resorts don't have, a DSC or 18% gratuities added, maybe those who are not willing or wanting to pry open the steel trap of a wallet over a couple bucks for some hard working folks, would be more comfortable playing the "big man" at one of those resorts[emoji214][emoji214][emoji214][emoji214][emoji214]

I'm doubt you will find all that many people willing to spend their entire holiday not drinking in order to try to put pressure on NCL.

 

I'd imagine it is more likely that people will cancel their cruises and go elsewhere than to spend all that money on a cruise and then not bother having a drink. Those who are willing to forego drinking for the week probably aren't people who would spend much money at the bar anyway.

Agreed Keith, plus all the uninformed general public and first time cruisers who will either not care or think that this was the normal fees. A general boycott will not work. And honestly what's 18% of a drink, you prolly tip better in cash anyway
