  1. My cruise departs from San Pedro port. I live about 1 half hours from the port, so we are planning on just driving to the port in the morning and would like to get there about 10:00 am. As I am completely ignorant of how this works, I would really appreciate it if someone can explain the procedure. Here are my questions: 1. Is it difficult to find a spot, and do you just park anywhere in the lot? 2. When we enter the parking lot, are there sections for specific cruise lines. (This is for Celebrity Eclipse- 1041 B93, whatever that means) 3. If you just park anywhere in the lot, do you get on with your luggage on a shuttle? 4. I believe there are two ships in port that day: Celebrity Eclipse and RC Navigator. A there porters specifically for each ship, or do you bring your luggage inside the terminal building.? Thanks for any knowledge of the above, and any other tips. Anita
  2. Hi all. I've had the usual Celebrity "fun" of calling back and forth to make corrections on my booking. At this point, I want to understand the current codes on my reservation. Recent promotion included basic wifi, classic booze package and gratuities. Hopefully someone here can translate! TDX4 Basic Wifi, TDX5 Basic Wifi. (I have upgraded to premium wifi for both husband and myself for $191 total) I don't know if next code shows this: TFQ2-Promo2c 8n --- TFQ3 BevCINGRA8 , the TGT4 Grat C/A BN. Question: are the gratuities for the Beverage package or for the stateroom? I have purchased the soda, water, coffee package, a couple of shoe excursions, insurance, and 3 specialty restaurant reservations. None of which, I don't think shows up on latest reseervation print out. I have order print outs showing the purchases- just not on booking confirmation. Just trying to make sure everything is now in good order. (One issue was a computer glitch that showed I owed money for the booking when I had paid in full as due date was within a week of purchase. This was just corrected.) Thanks. Anita
  3. Thanks for all the responses. We booked this cruise because it leaves near us, so I don't have to deal with airlines for once, and also my husband is turning 70 during the cruise--- normally we avoid holiday sailings---- So if Blu offers the same American Thanksgiving fare, then we will just eat there that night. Actually if the buffet has turkey with the trimmings at lunch time, I'd just assume do that. I booked 3 of the 4 specialty restaurants (not the sushi one) for other nights.
  4. Hi all-- This is the first time we decided to book a cruise over Thanksgiving- We are booked in Aqua class and our assigned dining is Blu. On Thanksgiving, we would like to eat the traditional meal- Turkey, stuffing, etc. etc. Is this served in all the dining rooms, buffets, sp restaurants etc? Just want to know what to expect. thanks. Anita
  5. We will be in San Diego port for 1 day in San Diego for a cruise coming up in a couple of months. Is there a car rental place walking distance to where Celebrity docks (cruise is from Los Angeles, returning to Los Angeles) Thanks.
  6. I just logged out and logged back in again. It now works! Wierd. Thanks.
  7. Could you please post the dailies again? It says "unavailable" each time I tried to look at them. Thanks. Anita
  8. We don't eat pork so I have to tell restaurant ahead of time to leave off bacon on dishes we order. I know Cagneys has mixed reviews-- so far on the few NCL cruises we have been on, the food was pretty good- can't really complain there. We would get the large beef fillet, because at home we usually just have once in a while rib-eye ( trying to not eat a lot of red meat)----
  9. Ok, I first asked about Q barbecue restaurant. I'd like to know favorite food items at Le Bistro, Cagneys, and Ocean Blue---- I asked on other thread how the chicken and beef choices were at Food Republic---My husband eats sushi, I can only eat there the beef and chicken. Please include favorite deserts. We are skipping the Mexican and Italian restaurants, as we eat that all the time at home.
  10. Ok, so I guess we will try the brisket- skip the short ribs-- We don't eat pork, so the platter there won't work for us. I'm sure Q won't taste as good as our regular and land restaurants, but we would like to try it just the same. We are planning on doing Food Republic for lunch on sea day-- How is the terriyaki chicken and the beef? I don't eat sushi, but my husband does. Are the deserts worth having. If so which would be your favorite?
  11. Looking over menu choices for an upcomng cruise. I'd like to know the highlights of the various specalty restaurants starting with Q-- How is the brisket vs short ribs- Deserts look fab--- But if yu could pick just one, which would it be?
  12. This excursion isnt available as of mid August according to the supplier. If you really want this excursion, booking i July is usually when this is available.
  13. Thanks for all the responses. Maybe I will just sign up on the ship as I have always done in the past without a problem. I am admittedly one of those "paranoid" people, that would fear that somehow the info wouldn't be relayed properly to NCL system--- or I would be the one person that would be messed up with this by not doing the sign up directly with the ship.
  14. For those of you who have used Port Valet (your luggage picked up on ship and taken directly to you airline after cruise) in Seattle: Is it better to sign up before the NCL cruise, or would that confuse things on the ship? I'm asking because in the past, I have always just booked this on whatever cruise I am on, when this was offered. I just saw that the Seattle port is pushing to sign up in advance on their website. I'm just wondering if people on NCL has signed up in advance, or just did it once on board the ship. Thanks in advance for into.
  15. I've always been paranoid that my suitcase wouldn't make it on a cruise--I've been lucky, many cruises have come and gone, but my luggage always made it on board. I always pack 3 days worth of underwear in little baggies, and squeeze them in pockets getting on a plane. This is besides a couple of bathing suites, more underwear, a couple of pants and one spare pair of shoes in the carry on-- I figure that I can easily get a few tee shirts on the ship- even if most probably ill fitting, but underwear, bathing suits and pants, I think too difficult to deal with.
  16. Thanks for all the responses. I wonder why then the $100 isn't just written as $100 obc cabin credit? Weird to me! But yes we always just use one credit card for all charges. I'll just double check on board when it isn't busy at guest services--- We are only doing a few shore excursions from NCL which we prepay before we board. Since this is not refundable obc, I just want to make sure that all the $100 "free" money is actually used.
  17. I just had the $100 OBC credit added to a cruise for next year---- I just noticed that $50 was put under my name and $50 under my husband's name. I wanted to use the whole credit for a spa massage, booking once onboard. I thought it would just show $100 added to the cabin, not the individual person, So what I am asking is if no credit is used before the massage, will I be able to use $100 or just $50? I hope what I am asking makes sense. Thanks.
  18. Thanks for the info. I did contact NCL and was told for example 1, I would have to purchase 200 shares in order for 2 separate stateroom bookings for OBC-- 100 for one stateroom 100 for the other. I don't want to purchase more than the minimum requirement, so I will just have my daughter's name put on the stock certificate with mine, so that when she goes on her cruises she can get the credit same as myself. I never thought about any of this until my stockbroker asked me if I just wanted my name on the stock or have it listed jointly. Thanks again all. Anita
  19. Ok, for those of you in the know: If I own NCL stock that is shared with my adult daughter so that both our names are on each statement, how does this work for onboard credit? Example 1: Lets say we are both on the same cruise, different cabins. Would each of us get the OBC? Example 2: We are not taking a cruise at the same time. Would each of us be able to get OBC, as long as each of our names are on the account? Thanks for all information. Anita
  20. I just told my stockbroker to purchase 100 shares on NCL-- I happen to have a deposit on a future cruise for next year. This cruise is just a 7 night, so I know that it is only $100 OBC, but I will gladly take it. These are my questions: Is there a way that my daughter (adult) could make use of it when she goes on a NCL cruise on her own, where I wouldn't be a passenger? Also, Let's say I book 2 back to back cruises that are 7 nights each. Would that qualify for $100 OBC for each leg? I understand that it is non refundable OBC--- I prebook with Free at Sea Plus the 4 specialty restaurants, and the basic daily gratuities. Also, I do book ahead a couple of shore excursions. But I am planning on treating my self to one massage, that I understand on NCL, you can't pre book anyway for that. So I assume that if this is the only OBC that I would have- $100 would be deducted from the stockholder OBC. Last couple of questions : Does any one have a current link to the form that needs to be filled out to get the stockholder credit? Also how soon does it need to be faxed to NCL, and is there a link to that? Does the credit somehow mess up any perks that are included on a booking? Thanks in advance for all suggestions/advice, etc. Anita Any advise, suggestions are greatly appreciated..
  21. I didn't find it easy at all. The basic fare was easy, no difference in price. The free at Sea Plus now according to the rep, did not included wifi with streaming or $50 per person off each excursion. All he would say is that if I rebooked it (yesterday) I would save $200 but lose my wifi inclusion and the $50 off excursion deal. So it is now called Free open bar then upcharge to include 4 restaurants. I was hoping that the agent would have said something like "If you rebook with today's flash sail, it will end up costing you more for the same perks you have right now." I couldn't get the agent to just say that, if that was what he meant. Very annoying.
  22. Ok, I spoke with NCL rep on phone today, but not a straight answer. I booked a cruise with original free at sea PLUS with upgraded wfi to include streaming. Today, I saw a "flash sale" so I was trying in vain, to do the math, if I would actually save money by rebooking the cruise- (sale date not until 2024)---- So after being held on hold, for 15 minutes. He was very nice, but I didn't really feel confident that I was getting a straight answer. He just said that I wouldn't save any money with the wifi with streaming. Not sure what he meant by that. I really wanted a dollar for dollar break down. It was very frustrating. I got him to say that I would save $200 but it didn't include my wifi. I think the flash sale, would end up with the same price of what I originally paid---- I just wish the rep could have been more specific. Also, I don't think the new pricing includes $50 off per person for excursions. I did manage with my feeble brain to see that my original pricing would save me $200 on excursions that I would book--- so I guess I should quit while I'm ahead. Just curious if anyone figured out if today's flash sale would actually save someone money who booked with original Free at sea plus that included excurions, etc.
