Today’s program

Captain’s club event was packed. Long line of officers wishing everyone welcome👍🏻⚓️🎶 Drinks and Canapé was served. ( found out why Al Bacio didn’t have lemon tarts😅 they served it as dessert in the Canapé selection🍋🍋🍋 unfortunately they were out before it arrived at our location;) But they had chocolate covered strawberries 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓❤️ 9 zeniths onboard. All over 3000 points. First tour to Sky lounge this cruise. My favourite place❤️⚓️ Tonight’s show is stand-up. Tom McTigue. Fun for Mr, for me a bit hmm…. Have seen better… For dinner tonight we had: Chop chop salad Onion soup Shrimp cocktail Steak Dianne Gnocchi Ice cream Custard fruit Tonight’s dessert menu is the “epi-pen” day for me….. (remember from earlier? 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 im allergic to pineapple) So todays desserts are all about pineapple🤪🤪🤪🤪 So the safest is ice cream❤️👍🏻 Dinner was dinner…. I don’t want to say something about it tonight. What I will say, is that I don’t like to be the angry person, that person that complains loudly or makes it harder for people. I am a YES person, really good for people when you need a service or a cake delivered for your party🙈 ( I know, working on it to say more NO….) I have worked in the service industry my self. I have had people yelling at me because of cancellations due to technical issues on aircraft’s, overbooked flights, weather conditions/ freezing rain/ice, lost luggage and denied upgrade. So I really hate to put on my “angry” “not very happy” 🎩 hat. The zone leader has been running by every evening to ask if everything is good. Standing in the mid table and addressing the question to all 3-tables…. This is how to avoid an answer you don’t want to get a reply back on…. Food tasted excellent👍🏻 Kitchen is really on the deal for this cruise🙌🏻❤️ After dinner it was time for bed😴

Today’s breakfast was in Tuscan. Mr wanted mini bagels😅 and cheese 🧀 We attended the sail in on the helipad. The view in to San Juan is beautiful. Passing the fortress and the old town. I never get tired of this sail in/out. We docked 11.00. So at 11.30 we decided that it was time to walk off. Today’s plan is a walk in the old city and enjoy the view from the fortress. (Need to log some steps;) And for Mr, the most important….. a visit to La Taberna Lupulo🍺🍺🍺 So off we walked, back and forth in the old town to have a look. Out to the fortress, up and down all the stairs in the fortress and then to La Taberna😎😅🍺 I think Mr was very happy for this🤪🍺😎 After the beer break, it was time to head back to Sil⚓️ We arrived back around 15.30, so perfect timing for some coffee and a cake in Al Bacio☕️🍰 I was hoping for Lemon Tarts🍋 but sadly not today🙃 So we tried the blueberry 🫐 cake. (And Mr had to try the red velvet❤️ he is a cake monster) It was okay, decent sized for a fika☕️ (hands up for lemon 🍋 tart💛) After our (mr’s) cake bonanza, it was time to start the evening process…. Captain’s club party starts at 17.15, so we need to be ready for the evening earlier then normal 🙃 Today’s canapés had arrived.

I’m sorry. I don’t know the name. But the circle is the location. It’s a nice bay. It’s a small bar for drinks and you can go horse riding.

Yes, we walked. It’s around 10-15.min walk to the ship from pink street and umbrella street. At the pier, on arrival and return, they have tuktuk’s. They are for free and will take you in to the shopping complex and tour pick up point. So you don’t have to walk the pier length. At the port complex they have shopping, lazy river baths, pools etc. So if you just want to have fun of the ship, you can spend the day here….

Today’s program and we are invited to a sail-in event on the helipad🤩

After a full scrub we needed to eat something….kinda hungry after a day out😅 (before I was able to take a photo AND say cake…. Mr had eaten today’s delivery) It was the green pea mash, bread, tomato feta salad and 2 dice of cake. It was too long to wait until dinner. So we took a tour to ocean view for a small bite. Mr had some afternoon tea sandwiches and scones. I went for salad. The sandwiches was very good 👍🏻 We had started our departure from the Dominican Republic. So we walk up to sunset bar to have a glass of rose, enjoy the sail out and listen to the live music🎶🎶 You have a beautiful view of the fortress during sail in/out. Around 18 it was time to walk downstairs to change for dinner and count items for laundry…… all that dusty clothing needed to be washed🙈 Tonight’s show is illusionist / magician Matthew Mcgurk. It was a good show and he will be back later;) Again, officers and captain is very visible tonight. Live music 🎶 in all locations Dinner tonight was at our “assigned” 216 table on deck 3. Todays menu is the weakest for my taste. But Mr find’s it attractive. Didn’t we get the memo? Or have we just got to old? What is going on in mdr tonight? People in Shorts, sweatpants, clothes you wear on pool deck? Seriously, what happened🤷‍♂️ I don’t demand a full smoking and bow. Tonight they must closed their eyes🤦‍♀️ Well, back to dinner. The food is excellent. Neighbours not. The French table can’t speak English and on the other side, our eminent neighbours do their things on the phone and playing pirate, using the bread sticks….. So really a great time🤣🤣🤣 Our service team is delivering good service. I feel bad for them. They do a excellent job. And it’s not their fault that the hostess “parked” us in a bad combo of location and neighbours . For dinner we had: Seafood chowder Mizuna salad Coq au vin Schnitzel Ice cream Blueberry apple Turnover After dinner, we’re we ready for bed…..( you see🙃 We are not up all night😂)

Oh ha…. We are back from our excursion and walking trip in the city centre. We had a excellent time and Mr was very happy to have 800cc of power under his seat😁😂🤪🏎️ I can just start to say: there will be dust😝 We picked up our shore excursion number in the theatre at 09.10 and was told to walk outside on pier for pickup. Our guide was waiting at the end of the pier. All people was on time. Our drive to the starting point of the tour took around 20.mins. We passed Dorado Beach and the Neptun statue. Our bus was an open truck, so it gave a teaser of what to expect… On arrival you could shop bandanna and waterproof phone cover and sunglasses. They said that you will be dusty and possibly muddy. Then it was time to buckle up and drive. We had 2 stops on our tour. A local family house, selling local souvenirs and a coffee tasting. Our next stop was at beach. We drove around 3h on different terrain. Mr was very happy😁 ( I said he could drive…. Happy wife, happy life? He needs a 🦴now and then 😝) Fun day if you want a little action. You do get dusty and potentially muddy. We used medical face masks. (Your lungs will thank you🙏🏻) And sunglasses that cover around is very welcome. When we arrived back, we decided that it was better to go into town as we were…. We were dropped off at 13.45. And all onboard is 16.30. (I’m not a “Barbie” I can be seen in dust) We took walk in the city, went to the church and Mr wanted a 🍺 beer. Umbrella street is nice🌂🌂🌂 But my favourite is pink street💓💓💓 We stopped by a souvenir store to buy a beer and a sprite. The cashier was smiling and laughed when she looked at us😂😂😂 Overall a great day on adventure and the tour worked out great😎 Now it’s time to shower off all that dust and deliver a bag to laundry😆🩳👚 I will upload a video from our excursion later🎞️

Today are we docking at 09.00 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic We have a shore excursion booked via X. Time for some action! Our tour is Off-road Dominican adventure Polaris PZR. Meeting time 09.15. Mr wanted breakfast in Tuscan. So I can’t say no to his request😘 So off we will go at 08.00. Al Bacio was smiling and friendly at 06.30. Coffee is perfect🥰 ❄️❄️❄️ really sorry to see in the Norwegian news that it had arrived more snow during the morning❄️❄️❄️ Balcony coffee in light clothes😁😝 Can’t please them all😝 Today’s cruise compass

after dinner, we needed to drown our sorrows… The live band was on I grand foyer, so we decided on a cosmopolitan in passport bar. I have to say, live music is really on par on this cruise. Lots of live music and in all locations. So happy for this🥰

At 16.00 it was time to walk down to our cabin. Canapés had arrived. No stress is the deal. So it was time for a shower and a little Power Nap before show & dinner. Tonight is evening chic. So it’s captain’s welcome party in grand foyer at 20.00. So time to dress up and have fun🥳 Tonight’s show is Cosmopolitan. It’s a production show. So it’s exciting to hear and see what the cast of Silly has to offer🎶🎶 Captain had a senior officer presentation before the show. Oohhh, something was not on track for tonight’s show😬 So after the presentation it was a few minutes waiting… Tonight’s show was technically very good. The acrobatic part was great. Singers was good. But it’s lacking in the thread of the show. So not the preforming. Just a bit boring. After the show and before dinner it was officers meeting in the grand foyer. I have never on any cruises seen so many officers “scared out”😅 nice touch to see the entire line😇 At 20.20 we decided it was time for dinner… we have select dining. So we checked in and hostess decided that we arrived at the same time as yesterday…. So we will move you to fixed seating 20.30 downstairs. Okey, we always goes to dinner around 20.15-20.45 ish… so we will survive. Well, we are now assigned to a table for 2 downstairs. Waiters and Somalier is okay. Vincent Somalier did an excellent job. I Kadek & Kheshav is probably okay , but we will test them a bit more. Before we will say yes or good. But we are neighbours to a French couple that doesn’t speak English… and a us couple that are probably my age, but they are definitely on spring break. And they found it perfectly fine to watch tv on their phone loudly during dinner🙄🫡🫥 And we are seated strangely due to a pole. So if the other guests lean’s back, his in our dinner plate… So really not impressed by the hostess choice of table😔 We are really not happy or impressed by this decision of her. For dinner tonight we had: Corn soup Salad Shrimp pasta Lamb Ice cream Strawberry soup panna cotta

Very happy you liked Norway on AZ. Captain Johannes is perfect on a Norway cruise🇳🇴 AZ has often very good sailings in Norway. What I mean in “underdog” is that we are never in majority in guest country. And when it comes to MoveUp, the US market has the offer sendt out several weeks before the Nordic market, if it’s offered. For this b2b, we were not offered at all. But we know us guests received it several weeks before the sailing from the roll call. When it’s days you celebrate in US/UK/ national days etc. They will make some sort of celebration. Either by decor on the ship, in the buffets, notice in the cruise compass etc. This doesn’t apply to Scandinavian national days, even when we sailed in Scandinavia on the national day. And it was over 200 Norwegian guests onboard. I don’t expect bell’s & whistles in big numbers. But it would be nice if they did something, since we were there… Guests from the Nordic has not been able to participate in PowerUp points. So when other guests had the chance of making more captain’s club points. We can’t participate. The Easter competition they have going on now, are not for guests from the Nordic. I will not be angry or upset, it’s just how it is😎 Happy Cruising⚓️🌴⚓️

For us, the time is not a big problem. We always eat late. So normally we go to dinner around 20.30-21. But I do understand those eating early. It’s a conflict. When they have the event in the evening, it will be a conflict for someone…. It’s hard to please everyone🙄 I think Mr is tempted to try the Mixology event…🍹 So we will probably attend😝 Crew is very friendly and nothing to complain about🥰 So we are up to a great start😇

Today’s breakfast was Captain’s Club in Tuscan. We were greeted by CC hostess Alejandra (my Mexican name sister;) We had a lovely table by the window. I really like this view🤩 Extremely happy for table service🥰🥰 Friendly crew and good atmosphere. Cc breakfast menu: We went for the sharing plate. It’s something for everyone…. Mr had a Bellini to kick off the day😝 I kept to OJ😂😂 (08.00 it’s too early for me🤪 I know…. It’s always 5’o clock somewhere….) CC hostess was walking from table to table to have a small chat, checking in that everything was all good. And to remind everyone that wine tasting takes place today at 11.00😅 Mr wanted to take part in the CC wine tasting. So Mr went to wine tasting and Norwaylady took a walk on deck. Chair hogs were out and about😝 One thing I dislike is the retreat deck… I can’t walk my full route and have all the stairs. But walking track and Sunset route is okay. The fun thing about walking around, is that I can have a look of my fellow passengers… what are they reading and are there any Norwegian books😁 I detected 4 Norwegian readers on deck. So that means we are at least 6 Norwegians onboard🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴 After walking for 1,5h Mr arrived on deck. He was on the hunt of me and some water. His plan further today was to attend the beyond the podium at noon. So I rehydrated by him before he went off to the speaker and I went to change to swimming clothes and just taking it easy on deck. Mr has just arrived back from beyond the podium. It wasn’t bad or good was his answer… He enjoyed Milos on Eclipse more. For the first time of all our cruises, I do have a special request. Not like a specific table or something “typical”. So I dropped of the request in an envelope at the concierge/CC on my way to the walk outside. Fingers crossed they will accept it🙏🏻

Rise & Shine 😎 Mr is sleeping and I’m early bird…. 05.30😅 WiFi is very functional, so no problems reading and downloading the newspaper in bed🤓 Perfect 👍🏻 At 7.00 it was time for coffee. So I went downstairs to collect it from Al Bacio. ???? Where’s everyone? Empty, no line and 3 smiles from the crew😁😁😁 Normally it’s packed and lined up… So I ordered to lattes and went upstairs to wake up Mr and enjoy our balcony before we decide what we want for breakfast. (The crew in Al Bacio & I started on perfect track, coffee was perfect;) Todays program:

Around 18.45 it was time to go for tonight’s show. The Edge effect Before the show, they had a video of Mike cruise director “flying” around the ship and be a world class seller of specialty dining. This took 7.mins😵‍💫🤪😝 not my cup of tea for classy….. But, the show tonight was good. It’s a Capella. Good mixture of songs and easy going entertainment. We headed straight from the show to dinner. We were able to get a table asap and had a great service team. Pankaj & Mangal did an excellent start of the cruise. Uday made sure Mr had wine for his dinner. So all in all, a good start of service and kitchen❤️🙌🏻👍🏻 We had: Shrimp Luis Coconut soup Beetroot salad Jerk spiced chicken Crème brûlée Banana blueberry crumble Sleep well and god night from Sil😴

Beautiful sail away ☀️🫶🏻 Sun is shining and we are happy campers❤️ Crew is on, walk around in Sunset and they pay attention to details. If they keep this spirit during our cruise, it’s excellent. Really like the Sunset renovation. More seating and some shade😊 🤪😂😅🤪 Profiling, putting people in a box…. Yes, I said something about it on my last live and someone asked why we always carry our official wedding documents. Our CC and fb had planned for a meet & greet in Sunset for sail away🥂🙌🏻⚓️😎 Yes, you know the drill🥳😝🍹☀️ Well, I forgot my cc blue beads at home. So I approached the group and asked if this was the cc 🎉 party…. Yep, I know I don’t fit the profile😝 “ Darling, can we help you? We are having a meeting…” I said sorry and walked on. This is Mr on a field trip…. Bringing his kid🤣🤣🤣 #Thankyouforfishfreshairandmountainwalks At 16.45 it was time to go downstairs to see if the suitcases had arrived. So we could unpack and get ready for dining & show. Lucky 🍀 us, the suitcases were waiting for us🥰 (aka Norwaylady, so I could unpack) I did a speed test on the WiFi in our stateroom. This is by the balcony door.

We really enjoyed Vancouver❤️ despite the awful boarding process. Canada 🇨🇦 is great 🥰 We are hungry for more Alaska adventure. We want to try earlier in the season… And we want to go further north. You are more then welcome to Oslo or the Norwegian fjords🇳🇴

So, lunch buffet closed 14.30. We arrived 14.20 and it was still full selection and service. It was plenty to choose from. Mrs Club Soda has arrived😂😂😂😅 We had some salat and nachos on the outdoor terrace. Dessert is now in Sunset Bar🥂🍹 Von Voyage⚓️ I forgot to pack my CC beads😔

Lyft took us to port as scheduled. Checking in, went on 1-2-3🙌🏻😎 We went straight to our muster station to register. And now we have put up our door sign. And said hello to our housekeeping, Fevon. We have a large balcony, since we are in the bend😎 Paperwork on arrival🤓 attached. And we are off to lunch😅

So, no luck 🍀 on our suitcase issue…. No shopping or other things to take care of before we leave to the port⚓️ So we took a power walk in direction South Beach. 10km walk is a decent tour before a cruise🙌🏻🚢 Had a “bribe” in my purse for Mr… Called our family and answered some job mail. So now it’s time to leave for port🚢⚓️😎🌴

It’s boarding day🙌🏻⚓️😎 Sil has arrived port of Miami⚓️ (had to check marine traffic when I opened my eyes…) can’t see her from our location in Sunny Isle Beach😅😂 Breakfast on the balcony during sunrise. Strawberries, coffee & croissants❤️ Since our suitcase has been damaged, we must get a PIR from SAS. It’s really not easy for the moment… I contacted the Gold mail asap for assistance. They returned a number to the handling agent at MIA…. Well, the number is not in use… IMG_5284.MOV So we have kicked the ball in return to SAS… Mr is taking a dip in the ocean and I try to solve the case🤓😎 (did a say someone is spoiled🙈) See you on the 🚢
