  1. We were b2b on Silhouette from 27 March to 10 April this Easter this year. 10+4. Turnaround day was 6.April. it was lots of multigenerational families. Many from U.K. and lots of US families on the 10.days sailing. So at least 100+ children on the first part. On the 4-days sailing it was a million kids😝 The age went down drastically and it was a completely different vibe on the ship. Families and young couple’s. Feeling as a packed Rccl cruise.

I have been on a cruise during the easter and its been crazy after arrival back in Norway🤪
  3. Is there someone who can post a daily cruise compass from a sailing? We are considering booking a British Isle cruise. FO routs are more of what we want.... We normally sail X. As you can see from my signature, we have tried different cruises and size. I have been on a ship visitt on Bolette, not scared off by the ship or cabins I visited. Was able to see a window, JS, terrace and port hole. We normally eat late 20.30 and on X the show is before dinner at 19.00 so it fits us very well. We are "finished" for the day after dinner.
  4. Bon Voyage! Enjoy your sailing. Best of wishes for a speedy recovery for your mother❤️
  5. So happy you enjoyed the tour of the opera house! It's spectacular from a construction and architect view.... So I love it. Bon Voyage for the next part of your b2b🥰 Fingers crossed for a functional wifi and smooth seas😇
  6. Bon Voyage🕺🏻⚓️❤️ looking forward to your report😁
  7. Fingers crossed all goes well❤️🕺🏻 Looks like your having a good time😎 Really happy for your sailing and the possibility to follow you⚓️
  8. Sorry in advance Ken😅 We will be on the younger side of the guest range, but again.... so are we in celebrity and on all river cruises.... So we are not scared off! Ship was very promising. I was able to visit some cabins that were not occupied. Inside, window, terrace deck, balcony, js. For similar cabin as on X, we need to book JS. I had lunch in the buffet (everyone knows it not the best selling point for me🥴) but it was serving by crew and they had lots of fish. So I was very satisfied. All-in-all, I can see us booking a British isle cruise to try them out more.
  9. So happy to have breakfast and reading that you have arrived safe and uneventful🕺🏻❤️ It’s the same captain, hotel manager as our Alaska+Hawaii sailing. Really jealous on your Sydney harbour walk🤩 That view is always spectacular…. (I will “drown” my jealousy on a ship visit today😌⚓️ Fred Olsen is arriving in Oslo, Bolette) We are considering a British cruise, so I called and asked if I could visit for a view and feel the vibe of the ship….. They called me back and said yes🥰
  10. Its soon May! That means constitutions day, 17.may. Its a BIG celebration in Norway. https://www.visitoslo.com/en/whats-on/17-may/
  11. Safe travels❤️ Fingers crossed all goes well! In Oslo the weather is cooperating😎 today it was sun and beautiful temperature when you checked the calendar😁 (after warm weather it’s still cold 🥶 for me😝)
  12. Safe travels home Charla🥰 always a pleasure following you😁 @mac_tlc welcome to Norway and artic circle😎 Looking forward to seeing your adventure⚓️
  13. So happy to read that you made it to Florida❤️🕺🏻🕺🏻 Happy cruising⚓️ Looking forward to the rest of the adventure🤩
  14. You must speak to Princess cruises. They can help you and notify/applying for this.
  15. I have just returned from Sil. There is a live from my trip😉 The orchestra is backing during production shows. They are not always visible, they are hidden on the side of the stage in some shows, but they play live or they play on the stage together by guest entertainment. They also do a big band gig in the grand foyer and in rendezvous lounge in the evening some nights. We had 2 house bands. They were good and played different things. Good mood for everyone. 1 string duo, violins 1 duo, more classy/relaxing (really lovely) they often played in Rendezvous. 1 classic guitar player from UK, great music. Often seen in rendezvous or in sunset bar. Hope this answers your questions😊
  16. What a great itinerary😊 you can email me🙃 al be ra bo at on li ne dot no im completely loaded for work during this weekend, so I don’t reply asap🤓 hope you understand😇
  17. Return to Oslo, 🇳🇴 The last day in the sun was not as the usual procedure…. It’s been rain and windy since we left Sil☔️☔️☔️☔️ But that doesn’t stop us from a walking tour😅🙌🏻 IMG_6331.MOV We have never had this type of weather in Miami, FL. So yesterday was spent on a long walk and a relaxing day in our apartment🥰 Dinner was an excellent 2-course meal prepared by chef Norwaylady. Chop chop salad with chicken and Napoleon cake for dessert. Breakfast service today was bagels and smoked Alaska salmon, again prepared and served by chef Norwaylady🍴 (don’t say Mr is suffering yet from post-cruise hunger😝) He will feel the pain on Friday…. I’m just home for 12h before I have a big conference for work this weekend🤓 Then he will feel the cruise-blues🥺 Back to return✈️ Yesterday I was checking in on our flight. I had noticed during our cruise that our seats were changed and for the better….. I didn’t want to celebrate before we could actually check in…. But it was very nice to confirm that SAS had complimentary upgraded us to Biz🥳🥳🥳 So we are seated on 7+8 h, window for both🥰 Very happy for this❤️ Our flight from MIA-CPH is operated on a A330-300. Departure time: 16.00 3-classes. Biz 1-2-1, Plus 2-3-2, Economy 2-4-2. Flight is fully booked. We took Lyft to the airport 11.00. We arrived 11.25. Check in didn’t open until 12.00. But I printed the tags and did everything ready. Bags was dropped off on the second 12.00. Then the nasty part of travel started…. It was not a long line for security. But 1 person for TSA, all other. So for that little line it took 55.mins. Typ 20 pax. I just can’t understand why the “big” demanding boss USA can’t have this functional. (I don’t want to offend anyone, but it’s just 🥵😳 why can’t this work better? Even on crazy days in OSL, it’s never more then 15-20.min for security) Rant finished🤪 SAS don’t have a Lounge in MIA. But my Star*G gives me access to the Turkish airlines lounge. It’s the closest lounge for our departure. It’s not the greatest lounge I visited. But they have hot meals, a well stocked bar, sodas and snacks. So a good alternative to roam the terminal. MIA airport isn’t exactly an 💎 gem of airports… The meals is Turkish food. Falafel, salad, hummus etc. Boarding started 15.30. It was zone boarding. Boarding took long time today. Full flight and lots of families and small children. So we didn’t push before 16.15. It’s 32-seats in Biz and of those are 8 kid’s under 10🤪🤪🤪 Holy smoke, feeling for the crew❤️ Service during boarding was choice of champagne, water or lingonberry juice. Crew greeted everyone welcome and happy to see you again. Crew was asking for preference of breakfast service. Wake you up or leave you sleeping long as possible. Captain announced that flight time is expected to be 8h 45.min. After takeoff service had just started, warm towels and todays menu delivered…. Then the captain announced: everyone needs to go back to your seat. It will be a bit bumpy for the next 10-25.minutes….. As soon as the seatbelt sign went off, service was back on track. Pre dinner cocktail and warm nuts or chips. As the perfect X guest I am, I was watching Jersey Boys….. (you see why I loved Almost Elton & CeCe Teneal🙃😅) I love the 60’🎶🎶🎶 ( so a important message to Lisa (I know they play musical chairs for the moment) don’t mess with the entertainment or preference of 60-90) For starters we had fish and duck. Both tasted excellent. For main we had linguine and sea bass. Both tasted good. Cheese was a Blu Cheese, manchego and port wine. For dessert I had American style cheesecake. All tasted excellent and crew attentive and refilled glasses if wanted. Then it was time for a little nap 😴 During the night it was bumpy… captain had to put the seatbelt sign on. And it was like a bumpy railroad for 3hours+. We slept a decent 4-5h before it was breakfast service. Classic Scandinavian breakfast. Choices of breads (sourdough, croissants, dark bun, white bun, multigrain bread) yoghurt, muesli, cheese, ham, greens and fruit. Coffee/tea, juices, mimosas and water. Big applause to the crew on this flight. They were kindergarten/nanny service the entire flight❤️ Landing on time in Copenhagen 07.25. Light drizzle and 7c. Walked straight thru immigration to Schengen, no lines. Was seated in the SAS Lounge 07.40. So plenty of time to freshen up before our next flight to Oslo 09.10. They have full Scandinavian breakfast and barista service in the morning. Nothing beats a freshly brewed americano and a fresh danish in Denmark 🇩🇰😋 Boarding to Oslo started on time. A full flight of transit passengers from MIA/BKK/LAX/ORD…. And all Norwegian SK crew going home after their flights from US. Flight is operated on a a320. Plus and Go cabin 3+3. Our middle seat was empty, so good space. We pushed on time, expected flight time to Oslo is maximum 50.min. This flight is a café service. Hot/cold beverage and snacks of your choice from the menu in Plus. Today’s culinary delivery was sweet potato pirogue. Go, coffee/tea complimentary, snacks for purchase. On our decent to OSL…. My eyes were not super happy🥺 Welcome Home🙈 Flight went fast an we parked at gate 15.mins before scheduled time. 2bags on the belt 2.mins after arrival at the belt and tax free goods picked up🙃 (in Norway it’s tax free on arrival, alcohol very reasonable compared to Vinmonopolet) We stopped by SAS arrival service to register our suitcase that was broken on arrival MIA. No problem, pir documents issued and I will receive a mail for suitcases I can pick from during tomorrow. ( unfortunately I have had this situation several times during my years of travel… but it works perfectly) I will have choices of American Tourister by Samsonite, samsonite or EPIC. They give me a price limit according to what they broke and if I want a more expensive item, I just pay the extra. I walked in the door home at 11.30 after taking the train from the airport❤️ Mr had to run straight to the office…. Something urgent had to be fixed🤓
  18. You will love it❤️ We have done some… St Petersburg-Moscow (very recommended but not now😢) Mosel 7-n Danube 7-n Christmas market cruise 5-n
  19. @abbydancer do you know the captain’s club hostess and cruise director? And if this person is following the ship to Europe.
  20. That sounds like a brilliant choice⚓️ We have traveled around NZ by car all over, we have been to New Caledonian and Vanuatu in the pacific area. Mr have traveled a bit more in AUS, he visited his sister when she lived in Australia. So they went to Great Barrier Reef and Cairns. I have just visited Sydney & Blue Mountains/Jenolan caves and wineries in Hunter Valley. But I know we will go back for more🥰❤️⚓️ (originally we were booked on a 14n cruise from Auckland to Fiji, Pago Pago etc 1.April 2020😝) It’s the furthest away we can travel….
  21. You will love this adventure! The glow worms caves are spectacular. Mr loves caves. (Remember parts of Norway is like a Swiss cheese 🧀) We went to several in NZ and they were all different.
  22. They are moving edge from Europe to down under for the 23/24 season🤩⚓️ So when they announced this, I said, let’s go⚓️🤣🤩🙌🏻 and I booked the first day it was open for booking. If you do all 4-b2b it’s a 52-night sailing. Non repetitive ports. The ship has been sold out almost since day 7-after booking opened. So from time to time someone cancels and it’s one room available and it’s visible on the web. We can only manage to get off work for the 2-first parts. Rome-Singapore. But we are very happy and excited for this. Originally we had a booking on AZ for Suez… as everything else, it was cancelled. So this is a cruise and route we have looked for. It’s really a route/type of cruise we know we enjoy.
  23. Looking forward to your upcoming cruise adventure⚓️🙌🏻🤩 I will drown my post cruise sorrows in you and Ken the travelers adventure😎
  24. Overall cruise experience Final words for our b2b experience…. Did we have a good time? YES Did we love our adventure? YES Did we love the balcony on the bend? YES Did we enjoy the food in mdr? YES Did we enjoy the lunch in OVC? YES Did we enjoy the coffee in Al Bacio? YES Did we enjoy the crew? YES Did we enjoy the live music? YES The list of YES is long🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 So we had a good time❤️⚓️ Is Sil the favourite ship? No, Connie is still the leader. It’s the floor plan on Millennium class. It’s just something about it🤩 The crew on Sil is really ⭐️ Stars ⭐️ Only thing we can put a finger onto is the beyond the podium speaker and the mix of entertainment in the theatre. (Not in a very Bad way or unhappy, just lacking that extra touch) it’s a very private preference, so it’s good. But my cup of tea wanted some other leaf’s then what they served for some days. CeCe Teneal and almost Elton is a big winner for this cruise. Matthew McGurk is good, but 2 shows during the 10 days+ magic school was a bit to much. And then again on the 4 days sailing, show+ magic school. I was really hoping for AJ Amal or someone else of the fabulous stand-up guests we have had earlier. It wasn’t bad or out of line for me, it’s was just not that funny….. (the best cruise for stand-up was our Bermuda cruise on Summit..🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so hard during that cruise, my muscles was in pain for a week after that sailing) Will we sail X again? YES Do we miss the CruiseCritic Connection party? YES I really enjoyed when they hosted the party. You can meet your fellow CC traveller’s and put a face on the name. It’s also a bit social. Since we don’t fit the box 100% (I must say, on the 4-days sailing we were almost dusty compared to our fellow passengers🤣🤣🤣) Because then people know that we are onboard as multiple cruisers and that we are open for chatting. (We are not on our honeymoon⭐️❤️🤣) Are we tired of Caribbean cruises? Tja, YES and NO😅😎 It’s very easy going. We know what we get and it’s really no need for “big” planning in advance…. ( but Norwaylady really enjoy the process of planning a full holiday including pre and post cruise plans) So we have a b2b Caribbean booked for 2024… It’s on a ship we know very well, EQ. if Asia is more open for cruises, I’m very tempted to change it to an Asian adventure instead(but it needs to be the correct itinerary)😁(it’s just important that it must fit a specific timeframe) Or maybe we can push the frame a bit and do a Alaska adventure in May?🤔😅 I seriously need to feel a bit on this. What’s up next? Norwaylady is bringing the Queen, aka my mother on Infinity in May/June for a Mediterranean cruise. We will start in Barcelona and end up in Ravenna. Norwaylady and Mr are booked on the famous Edge sailing from Rome to Sydney. We are only doing the 2-first parts of the trip. So we will sail from Rome to Singapore. It will be a great adventure passing Suez Channel and have some great ports of call in Sri Lanka and India. Really looking forward to this⚓️😎❤️ Between this, we will be home for work and some travel in Europe and Scandinavia. Lots of “big” things going on in the family, so this occupies us a lot during this period. Thank you for everyone following along our journey❤️
