  1. Did you check on the website? As long as it is showing there, I wouldn't worry too much about the app.
  2. The Prima and Viva Haven have their own private aft elevators (2) and don't use the service elevators. You will line up in the Haven and the conceirge will escort you down and walk you thru the ship to the gangway, where you will skip the line to disembark. To me it did not appear to be anywhere near as large as the service elevators and we sometimes had to wait for multiple elevators before we could get on. That being said, once the ship is cleared, you are the first ones lead off if you are ready to go. Sorry I don't know about the non-Haven suites.
  3. Wow...you really saw a lot in London today. Loved your whole review...very fair and balanced, I thought. And your pictures were fantastic. Even though I have so many other places on my list to go, you are making me want to do this cruise (and I have been to London and Iceland multiple times). Have a safe flight home.
  4. I don't remember where they were doing reservations on the Prima but I typically just use the Kiosk if I have a need or you can also stop by the Box Office.
  5. He's already off the ship. Hopefully we will get some other live reviews coming soon.
  6. Reservations are available 21 days before embarkation, not disembarkation. It's possible that what you are trying to reserve is sold out. Check when you get on board or you can always go to the standby line.
  7. Thanks for your review. Glad you had a good time and are ready to cruise again...it is addicting!
  8. I always lock my bags when I put them out in the hallway. The room steward has had access to all my stuff for a week so I don't really worry about them but if some random passenger wants to steal, it's easier and quicker to get into an unlocked bag than mess with a locked bag.
  9. NOLA is way worse than San Pedro, both with embarkation and disembarkation. Though I love the city, I would have a hard time booking another cruise from there.
  10. I have disembarked multiple times in San Pedro, both self assist for a shorter cruise and without my luggage at the end of a 15 day cruise. Last time was in the rain, completely full ship, from the Joy. Even though we had priority disembarkation, there was no line to get off so we just went with the general population. Walked off, walked thru the terminal and right onto the airport bus. As with most travel, a lot is going to depend on the number of people getting off, the time they decide to leave, the number of staff working at the port to handle luggage, crowd control, etc. Every situation in every port will be different, just like every flight in every airport is different. I just try to go with the flow, have plenty of time to get to my next destination (whether it be the airport, an Uber, my car) and not let the stress of the real world get to me after a great vacation experience. One last thing...if you think NCL is bad, Royal is even worse. I had friends picking me up and they thought I would never get out of that building (and I only had one small carry on bag).
  11. I put my large suitcase outside the door before midnight the night before. If in Europe (or a longer cruise), I typically also have a small roller bag and tote bag/backpack. I keep those with me for my last night, early morning necessities. I can usually handle those myself down the stairs if the elevator is full and tuck them in a corner of the dining room while I have breakfast.
  12. Everyone is usually off the ship by 9 to 9:30 so around that time should work well.
  13. I have walked off my own luggage several times and walked directly to the NCL transfer bus to the airport. Doing it this way allowed us to be one of the first ones on the first bus to the airport.
  14. That is a good question as the studio design changed with the Prima and it has a full bathroom now vs. a separate shower and WC. Prior to that, they were all the same. As far as size, I would look for a video from La Lido Loca. Tony is a big guy (almost 400 lbs, I think) and he stayed in a studio. The shower should be fine but the WC is small...I leave the door open when in there...I am nowhere near petite but not in the plus size range either.
  15. I have done this before but once on board, I go to the reservation desk and change it to 2. Its not big deal and gives them the opportunity to book a 4 top. People cancel or fail to show up for reservations all the time which is why the specialty dining options can be so fluid.
  16. They never did Supermarket Sweep on the Prima, only The Price is Right. I believe they have planned to have each of the games shows on the various Leonardo class ships but not all of them on one ship. Viva will be having Press Your Luck so at some point Supermarket Sweep may show up on a 3rd or 4th ship.
  17. Welcome to the Dark Side. 😁 I have read a few of your reviews (though I have only sailed on Carnival once) and look forward to your observations and opinions.
  18. Lots has changed in travel (and in the world) in the past 10 years. You are correct that luggage restrictions are one of them. Deciding whether to pay for luggage charges is up to you. There are various ways to avoid these charges (have a branded credit card with the airline is one way) but if I am traveling, either domestic or international, I consider them just the price of 'doing business'. And you are correct in your assumption that the NCL airfare promo does not include luggage...that is up to you to pay.
  19. Back in 2021 I was booked on a cruise on NCL Escape, where we were informed that only NCL excursions were allowed if we wanted to disembark in Italy. Because of this restriction, we cancelled this cruise and did the Jade to Greece instead, which had no such restrictions. I think if you are going to read reviews, you should stick to ones that are more recent and have current information. So many things changed from 2021-2022 to now in cruising that you will get information that is no longer pertinent.
  20. Have been on the Bliss to Alaska during football season and the games were shown as @tomk3212 stated (post-covid). They were also on the TV in our cabin. Last year did the Prima TA from Southampton to NYC and the games were on in the middle of the night as we crossed the Atlantic. You won't have any problem finding your game. Enjoy your cruise!
  21. And if one of you doesn't drink (my son doesn't) you both don't have to get the drink package.
  22. Adjoining means they are next to each other. Connecting means they have an actual door that can be open between the two cabins. Prima and Viva do not have connecting studio cabins but they do have adjoining cabins, if you can find them available.
  23. My adult son and I have gotten two connecting studio cabins in the past. Not only did we have our own space for privacy, we had two showers and toilets, which we would not have if sharing any size of cabin (except some Haven cabins). In our situation it was not cheaper to have 2 studios but it was the right decision for us.
  24. Yes, it has been confirmed. There is no Starbucks in the Indulge Food Hall.
  25. We had a Solo Coordinator once who was a member of the Kids's Club staff. At every evening meet up in the Studio Lounge she had a 'craft' for the adults to do. She did not plan any activities or dinners. Many of the solos declined to make the crafts and we planned our own dinner for the evening. It was definitely the strangest dynamic for a solo meet up that I have experienced.
