  1. Both were served very cold - which, to me, sometimes disguises the full taste. I have to say I preferred the Chandon of the two. They take provisions on at Southampton so I am sure there will be a number of deliveries before you sail.
  2. Cattier may have been the other Champagne listed in the Murano menu by the glass. But they didn’t have any (on Friday evening - last night of the cruise).
  3. I'll be interested to hear your experience. The Murano Wine List included many other Champagnes by the bottle but these 3 sparkling wines were the only ones available by the glass.
  4. We were in Murano on Friday evening and I asked the Sommelier for help with your question. He quoted 2 Champagnes (as he described them) within the Premium Package as being widely available on the ship, Chandon and one other (I can't recall the name). We tried Chandon and a third that he offered - Celebrity Vintage (I have a feeling that the latter may be a sparkling wine). Both were definitely palatable.
  5. I think the key here is that it is a Relaxation area, and described as such on the (rather solid) door (I walked down yesterday evening to have a look). Therefore users should behave in a way that allows others to relax, rather than the opposite!
  6. My apologies also - we are in an RS too and had assumed the setup was consistent across cabins.
  7. The interface with the (supplied) hairdryer is particularly interesting. We had to ask the stateroom attendant how to make the plug fit the socket!
  8. The interior width of the box holding the sockets is around 12 - 13 cm. But I don’t think this answers your question. From the “top” of the UK socket the remaining width is about 3 - 4 cm. Hard to be exact as I am using my iPhone measure app and the ship is moving!
  9. I am not a Champagne drinker but will try to find out over the next couple of days.
  10. I popped down to Quasar this morning. Games are in the pics below. There is also an Xbox set up as pictured (I don’t know anything about this as I don’t play!).
  11. As per cnktodhunter’s post above; just borrow, read and return (no control or interaction with staff). There are people playing board games (quietly) in the library too. I think there are fewer chairs than previously - they certainly feel more spread out.
  12. We are on Silhouette at the moment with the Premium drinks package (drinks include to a value of $18 including gratuity). We had a drink at the Martini Bar this evening; both Martinis were within the limit of the package.
  13. Luminae is included, and currently excellent (we are on Silhouette en route to Cadiz as I type this). If you want a specific evening in specific speciality restaurant (say for a birthday or anniversary) my advice would be to book it early (i.e before the cruise) as demand can be high. For example, even though there is a perception - and generally reality - that suites get priority, we could not get a reservation in Murano this evening.
  14. No speciality dining include in a Sky Suite; only included in Royal Suite and above. You can purchase speciality dining separately at additional cost, either for a single meal or buy a package.
  15. I am on Silhouette at the moment. I have not been to the library yet, but during the day I have seen games in Quasar, including Scrabble; Apples to Apples (?); Jenga and a “throw a beanbag in a hole” game which I have also seen on an outside deck. Hope this helps. PS Is there any evidence whatsoever that COVID can be caught from a book (or any other hard surface) - except in extremely rare virtually laboratory generated conditions?!
  16. @pennys mumAssuming this is Silhouette out of Southampton? If so, would you be able to share the shoreside concierge's contact details (email or telephone number)? We are in an RS departing 30 Jul and have had no contact. Many thanks.
  17. Whilst comparisons with other cruises are helpful, this is a departure from Southampton where relatively few passengers are restricted by airline baggage allowances.
  18. We will be on the same cruise as you I think. We will be “dressed up” for Evening Chic nights, and love seeing other families doing the same. Sort of makes it “special” Equally, if people want to be dress in a more relaxed way that’s fine too. Just do what makes you feel good.
  19. Given you have never sailed with P&O before, if I was in your shoes I would want to do a short-ish cruise on the same ship or at least with P&O first before commiting to a world cruise. By short, I mean 7 days to avoid any “booze cruise” type vibes that occasionally occur on shorter cruises.
  20. Latest listing I have from Celebrity shows Bombay Sapphire (gin) and Guinness (stout) both available on the Premium drinks package.
