Hi. 1) Can Princess OBC be used towards paying Crew Appreciation Payments please? 2) Can OBC be used to pay for purchases in Princess onboard shops? "...Once on board, you can use Onboard Credit on shore excursions, specialty dining, spa treatments, beverage packages and more." 3) What other uses for OBC are included in their definition of "more" please? From the Princess website: Redeeming onboard credit Before you sail, your Onboard Credit can be used to purchase shore excursions online through Cruise Personalizer. When you check out, we’ll automatically apply your credit to the payment due unless you uncheck the "onboard credit applied" box on the "Reservation Summary" screen. Once on board, you can use Onboard Credit on shore excursions, specialty dining, spa treatments, beverage packages and more. Purchases will be added to your stateroom folio and your Onboard Credit will be automatically applied before your credit card is charged at the end of your cruise.

Then I'm sure you can imagine my disappointment, having never been to either location, and not likely to be able to return in the future.

My 17June stop at Kotor, has been replaced in itinerary by Bar. With Bar only about 30km from Kotor though, I'm hoping there will be a ship tour to Kotor.

We'll be in Santorini on 11th June, and are 1 of 5 ships there that day!, with a combined maximum passenger total of 15,182 (+crew on their breaks?). Yikes! 🥹 Hopefully with such a bottleneck, crew are banned from going ashore in that port.

I'm on the 8th June sailing, and also in the Guarantee situation. Nothing to be concerned about. I always opt for "Guarantee", and the timing of cabin allocation varies. Just yesterday I received the usual "Bid for an Upgrade" email, so Princess may well work through those incoming bids before they allocate Guarantee cabins. Enjoy your cruise !

I hope you don't mind me asking, however had you placed a Bid (& then paid for) for that upgrade, or was it free? (I'm trying to gauge whether Princess offer free upgrades at times, or whether all upgrades are now by Bid only) Thanks!

Thanks vj. I have also been curious about those same forward outside decks on 10-14, as the Oceanview cabins in that location appear to have windows onto those decks.

Assuming those Promenade food locations are outdoors........late winter in the Mediterranean means it's dark (~6pm sunset), cold?, wet? = so perhaps little appetite for outdoor eating in those conditions.

Wow. During natural gas refueling......"The use of mobile phones, cameras.......will be prohibited whilst the ship will be docked......" How on earth are they going to enforce zero use of mobile phones across the entire ship for the hours whilst they are refueling??, let alone people coming & going along the pier adjacent to the ship.

I was told the same thing when I phoned Princess 3days ago.

I swear I read a reference here/somewhere several months ago, that the Sun Princess would run the production show 3 times per night in the Arena, at 6.30pm, 8.30pm, and 10.30pm. If true, then this schedule (plus the other venues around the ship (eg the Dome) would be how Princess plan to cater for the nightly demand for entertainment. We'll have to wait and see.

I respectfully disagree. I think the enlarged piazza is a wonderful improvement ! In my experience on other princess ships, whenever some event/performance is on in the piazza, dozens of passengers gather around the balustrade/balconies around the piazza watching. There is only limited amount of standing space around these balconies (including with some of that perimeter space taken up by those traditional staircases), so often people are two-people deep watching the performance. I'm often standing behind someone to watch. And not everyone wants/can stand up to watch the performance/event, and there is traditionally very limited seating space around the area. I welcome the new tiered bench seating to rest / listen / watch! I welcome this enlarged piazza, creating a larger performance space, and for more varied acts, and with this much larger viewing area around the larger perimeter. (plus the new views out to sea from some areas of the piazza perimeter)

I'm Elite, and I paid the full balance about a month ago. Based on what others have said, I believe the Sun Princess MDR bookings are being treated differently to the rest of the fleet, until the Sun settles into a routine. Hopefully I'll be able to make those bookings from Mar8th (3mths out from my Jun8th sailing)

Thanks for your insider info Dr J. No lift instructions. How many people will enter lifts, and then have to get back out again. Day1 of each sailing could be a little chaotic around the lifts. Thankfully the number of lifts has increased with this new ship.
