  1. Jen Wright has been responding immediately to our emails, I hear. In my opinion the threat of “ switch” to an inside or lose deposit between Friday 9 pm and May 6th was inexcusable. Princess has incompetent staff working on their website- this should have been caught much sooner. I phoned right after my confirmation was received to have a name and loyalty number corrected and all was well with my booking! How many times do we see issues with Princess website and customer service on here? Should tell them something.
  2. This was my question and I did not expect it to end this way. I see that someone has given advice to keep my mouth shut- never spoke to any of you about this. I would only accept a cruise that was a legitimate offer for me.

  4. Kathy49, I saw you on the roll call for the Oct15/25 Star. So sorry you got all caught up in this mess. Hope you get it resolved to your liking- free inside cabin with $200 US pp or upgrade for $, or cancel with a refund. By the way, I am off for my BD trip this week and would appreciate help in keeping the Roll Call active. Thanks

  6. Hoping we can just skip over the suggestions that we should have known better. I have had several excellent casino discounts show up during my online booking process. I went on All of those cruises. I had no idea that the website was not functioning properly.

Was looking for you on my OMG thread! ——— jen wright responded immediately re: cancellation fees- waived- now in writing FCD & FCC back in my account credit card refund- 2 weeks ? no cruise on Star —- Really could not accept free inside cabin- good deal for those who can The upgrades I was offered were too much for an unplanned cruise No dirty banana, no Alfredo’s & no gross ice cream desserts ——— I am truly sorry to those who are having problems with this. When we are on a Princess ship we love it. There has been way too much hassle in past year re: phone, customer service, annoying promos, errors in payments, refunds etc. to continue dealing with Princess. I am going on the Sun at the end of 2024 and taking a rest after that.

  13. Hoping to not go there- I told you so. Please, be kind. This has been handled very poorly by Princess. All who booked were well aware there was a Risk. Above posters on here and in my original OMG thread have received $0 comp offers and they enjoyed their win fall.
  14. My FCD & FCC are in my account. I was told the fee will be waived. After this I got a cancellation fee charge email for $540. No credit card refunds which will take time. I have emailed. No response to get the cancellation fee waive clarified in writing.
  15. Thank you for sharing. When I posted OMG thread posing my question about comp offers, I had no idea that 300 others were seeing the same on their site. I have had casino discounts done completely through online just as I booked this Star offer. Each of us has to decide what we consider fair for our own situation. Don’t let others tell you what you should think. Hopefully, it will work out well for everyone.
  16. I wouldn’t call it “ bait”, however the “switch” from mini suite I had confirmed with a non refundable deposit, did happen within minutes of the email saying it was an offer made in error. Princess did not deliberately scam us. The threat of Monday cancellation fee- decision etc set me off. The upgrade offer to keep the mini was over $3500 without perks. I do not consider that fair nor wondering if I will get my $769.50 back is unclear.
  17. I have sent emails. I attached my email cancellation charges etc and pointed out the Chaos they have created in our lives. i referred Mr.P & MrS to cruise critic and roll call. I know Mr.P reads Princess Passengers threads on Facebook. I do not post there, only read it.
  18. It really comes down to Good Will. Princess has offered atleast a small amount of FCC when they’ve accepted my money and can’t deliver what I paid for, in the past. Not the case here. I initially reacted to the email as a threat. Monday is the deadline to cancel outright and get my $ back. I called. I cancelled. I was told the cancellation fee of $540 will be waived. I received a cancellation notice charging me $540, after my call. The booking is gone from my Personalizer. I am not surprised by Princesses handling of the mess after seeing how the Sun passengers were treated. I have one fully paid cruise with them and a deposit on another. They are no longer the type of business I choose to spend my money on, after this next cruise. On my original thread, others mentioned they have had this offer and it was honoured and they took advantage of it. So, the “too good to be true” really was true. I suspect some who book will have their offer intact. Happy for you. Please accept my apology for sharing the info.
  19. MD 10601- paid $769 CAD for offer for two upgrade is another $3500 CAD per cabin approx. $200 US OBC pp no extras i cancelled said cancellation fee will be waived.
  20. This is happening too frequently with Princess cruises. The email does say there is a cancellation fee. Some say they will have it waived. Yes, it was too good to be true, but some cc members are getting casino comps frequently. No where on my booking receipt, travel summary did it mention casino. I am truly sorry for sharing the offer info.

  23. I’ve booked, after pricing a casino discount reduced my fare. Didn’t know I had that offer. You can cancel and get a TA to book for you.
  24. Elite- is not a big deal. I got 2 credits for a 3 day in a suite. Easiest way to get there. Alaska, , west coast, Mexico, FLl have a few shorter cruises.
