  1. Just to add:

Day 1 was a comedian + magic show. Fairly decent.

Day 3 was a vocalist from Las Vegas with a very good voice.

Day 7 was a farewell and musical talent show featuring some ship crew and guest performers.  Only one show. So get there early.

Colors of the World was also a pretty good show.

You should be able to see the daily programs posted on Princess App before your boarding day.

  2. I agree the additional OBC is nice but 2026 is a long way out. A lot of things can happen between now and 2026 to put your NRD at risk. You also cannot cancel and rebook if the price comes down without losing your NRD. That said, if you are comfortable with the gamble, go for it. I thought about the pros and cons and decided to pass.

  3. I was on the first Alaska sailing this month. The ship didn't even make it to the glacier. Weather was fine but Captain said there were too many icebergs in the way. Many passengers were disappointed especially those travelling from far away places.

I heard a variety of illnesses- covid, flu, and noro.

You heard right. I came off Ruby on May 7 and tested positive for Covid two days later. Mild flu like symptoms fortunately. Plenty of coughing around toward the end of the cruise. Please be careful.

I honestly was not impressed with the inside passage. I prefer coming back on the outside. I know it feels upsetting but I do feel this is fair compensation. I missed my absolute favorite port last time, Sitka, and came the inside passage home. I was so upset and disappointed. I LOVE sitka and the inside passage was really disappointing.

Missing Sitka notwithstanding, inside passage is a lot calmer as it is sheltered by Vancouver Island. Sea can get pretty rough if the ship takes the open ocean route on the outside.

MSC has lots of work to do on the IT side of things as they have for years.  It simply does not get better.

No kidding. I tried to sign onto my MSC account today and all I got was an error message referencing to statues code 502 (whatever that means). MSC's ongoing IT issues are beyond frustrating.

  7. I got off Ruby last week. On the 6th day of the cruise, there was a chemical odor coming from the air vent likely from crews doing maintenance around the ship. I called guest service and in 20 minutes, a housekeeping supervisor showed up to investigate. The smell was gone after an hour or so. I was happy with the response time.
