  1. Asking for a friend and I have no experience with HAL. Family group are booked for an Alaskan cruise that leaves in 3 weeks. Was cruise for dads 80th birthday. Unfortunately he has taken ill and is in ICU. Would HAL allow group to postpone/ rebook for a later date? They are not going to ask for refunds but rather just rebook when dad is better and able to enjoy cruise. Does anyone think this is possible or have any experience in a matter like this. They do not have trip insurance and involves 12 people. Thank you

  2. You are correct. I had to switch to FLL as United changed our original 2pm flight to 11:30. Option from Miami was 5:30. Didn't want to wait until then. However, if there had been a 130 flight from Miami I would have chosen that. United screwed me and I was stuck.

  3. Just posted something similar. After much back and forth with Carnival and airlines we changed our flight to 1:30. Just not going to ruin my cruise worrying about debarkation. Plus we had planned on using Carnival transfer which they will not guarantee.

  4. So I have read so many negative comments about this port and embarkation and debarkation being a nightmare. Can someone explain the procedure or problems with getting on ship at this port ? We are sailing out of there in April. Better to go early or later in day to board? I have an arthritic hip and cannot stand for very long. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA
