I agree about CAS looking at last cruise and making determination. We have comped balcony on Breakaway in Nov which I booked right after returning from our March cruise. Went to Alaska in Aug on comped balcony and gambled very little. No time for gambling in Alaska.... Called to book CTN like OP and was only offered comped inside. So they do indeed look at most recent. I'll live with inside for 2 days. Waiting to book my next one after I return in November and after a week of gambling.

It's actually because of a death in immediate family. Scheduled to sail Sunday. Funeral us Monday. Could make it to Boston on Tuesday, first port of call. Would lose 100% of cost of cruise if I can't pick up in Boston. Thanks everyone for your input.

First person at Carnival said NO. Couldn't believe that as people miss ships often, so was looking for some help with all the experienced cruisers here on CC. Eventually got to someone at Carnival that told us about $300 fine.

Going to miss boarding in NYC. Hoping to board in Boston which is first port of call.

You are right.... We had gorgeous weather throughout cruise and in Seattle. Was a trip of a lifetime and couldn't have been more perfect.

Love reading this. I was in same cruise and also spent 2 days in Seattle pre and post cruise. Went to a lot of same places so enjoy reliving trip thru your eyes. We had lunch at Space Needle and you would have enjoyed it. Can't wait to hear ship details.

Just booked Breakaway for last NCL CTN on Dec 11th. It really is too bad that there won't be any more ..... Used to go all the time with the girls. Hoping it turns out to be something special.

I was on same cruise as you.... Can't wait to read your review to compare to our experiences. We had a great time and didn't encounter any problems. We spent 2 days before cruise and 2 days after cruise in Seattle. Was a fantastic 12 day adventure and can cross Alaskan cruise off my bucket list. Look forward to reading more.
