  1. I just took a screen shot of my status on RC website and emailed that. Got status matched in a few days.
  2. The package that I have for our upcoming cruise has gratuities included. I have the all drinks and WIFI package. VAT is only added while in port at Port Canaveral because it's a US ports. Once the ship leaves VAT is no longer applied for the rest of the cruise, including other ports. Below is from my booking so I assume you can order from champagne bar since only 2 bars are listed under signature venue. The Easy Plus Package covers all the above served at our bars, buffet, main restaurant and specialty restaurants. What?s more, it also includes private islands, but does not cover the signature venues (Venchi 1878 establishments or Jean-Philippe Maury venues, MSC Virtuosa Starship Club)
  3. I see that the tropical treasures are $13.00 and the easy plus covers drinks up to $10.00. It's my understanding from post on this forum that if you get one of those drinks with the easy plus package you only pay the difference, so $3.00
  4. According to my booking the thermal is included with Aurea. We just recently booked. Not sure why everyone is saying it's not. Has it changed in the last few weeks?

    Ship Tours

Doesn't sound like the MSC tours are as extensive as Royal. Can you book these before boarding or only once on board?

    Ship Tours

Does MSC offer ship tours? We were on the Allure of the Seas a few years ago and were able to book tours to visit ship. Meaning behind the scene. We went on the bridge, kitchens, control room and many more places. It was very interesting. Does MSC offer this, specifically for the seashore. If so were to book?
  7. What is the risk in asking. I'm in a similar situation and about to call and ask. I'm only sailing next year, however I got the last starboard Aurea balcony and don't want to risk losing it.
  8. That's kind of disappointing. What's typically the latest you can stay on the ship? It's likely that we were going to get off at some point anyway but probably closer to lunch time.
  9. So were on for 11 days but on the 7th day were back at Port Canaveral for the 7 days sailing to disembark and the 4 days to embark. Are you saying that on that day we have to get off the ship? If so I hope we don't have to bring our luggage. To clairify we didn't book the 7 day + the 4 days, we booked an 11 day. Same for the 10 day sailling mentioned above. It's not a thecnicaly a back to back. It's booked as 10 day cruise.
  10. On the MSC for Me app it shows our embarkation time at 9:00am. This seems early, can it be correct. I'm fine if it is. Only sailing next year so it can still change but I'm curious. I know normally they have to empty the ship before boarding the new group but for our sailing there's a 10 day sailing 4 days before we embark so obviously not everyone is getting off the ship. Would they start boarding before those that have to get off are off since not everyone is getting off? Or would they wait until everyone that needs to be is off the ship before boarding new passengers.
  11. Before I call them I have another question. Should I be able to see any onboard credit somewhere on my account? I took the free drinks wifi and OBC package which gives $100 on board credit but I don't see it on my account. I see the wifi and drink package on my account and my booking confirmation but don't see anything about the OBC. Maybe it just shows up once you board? Should get an additional $50 with my now silver status.
  12. OK I think I get it now. The first line has 5% and that's for any cruise. The second line is only for cruises booked 6 months before departure. So you get the initial 5% from the first line and another 5% for a cruise that is 6 months before departure. Is it best to call them now so they adjust it or just wait until final payment is due?
  13. I just requested a status matching and was given Silver status. Unfortunately I only learned about status matching after I booked our cruise. I see one of the benefit is 5% off cruise. Can I still get this even tough I already booked? I see there is also 5+5%, does this mean 15% total discount?
  14. I have one of those rooms on our next cruise but were only 2 people. I assume those bunks won't be there and will look like any other regular room? And we'll have a sofa.
  15. There's a private sundeck for Aurea guest. Here are some pictures https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/shiptour.php?r=11869 There is also the thermal spa included. Can answer the rest as we haven't sailed yet. 367 days and counting 😔
  16. Thanks for the feedback. Just called and switch my cabin to starboard side. Hope they don't decide to to dock port side when we go 😛. Got lucky too, it's Aurea balcony which is limited. I got the last one on the starboard side.
  17. Canaveral is the home port but also dock there one day. You can book 4,7 or 11 days so goes back to home port on the 7th day. Were staying for 11.
  18. Going on a 11 day cruise next year and wondering which side is the best for balcony. Ports are Ocean Cay, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Port Canaveral and Nassau. From pictures I have seen and posts on the forum it appears that at Ocean Cay the ship docks starboard facing the island. Were currently booked on port side but was thinking of changing(if they even allow that) to starboard since were doing 2 overnights at Ocean Cay. Not sure how it docks at other ports. Don't want to switch rooms and end up regretting it. If anyone has been to these places on this ship would appreciate any feedback.
