I remember when luggage used to be waterproof unless damaged.    With all the major thunderstorms especially in the summer, luggage may often stand in the weather and unless you are taking a large jet, they will be loaded individually by conveyor.    Believe some higher quality luggage manufacturers sell plastic overcoats that will keep your luggage and it’s contents dry.

We had breakfast in the Colonnade every morning and always had a sit down breakfast ordered from the menu.   Certain items, fruit juices and fruit, were delivered quickly and we didn’t wait very long for our cooked to order breakfast.   When the restaurant is open, as it was last July, the menu is almost identical.

This is why I always book through a excellent Travel Agent.    No waiting on the phone for me.

“Oceansaway” had a bit of an over reaction to the minor mistake about the menu.   Imagine, a waiter thinking you might be a diabetic!!    A mistake, but no reason to drag down the Cunard name because of it.

Sure does, was this during the initial COVID debacle?    Does look a bit better than the lines at Walmart.

Yes it took a long time.   Things like COVID in the shipyard and then supply chain issues will have that sort of impact on ship deliveries.

Actually, if you book Grill Suites from the U.S. they are all inclusive.   Drinks, Gratuities, and Internet are included.    Obviously you can’t have a high priced drink but most drinks at all bars except for the Champagne Bar are included.

How long will you be in Greenland?    We are on a cruise on another line in early September with 13 days in Greenland.   Maybe a day or two in Greenland will be enough.   In all but one port we go ashore in Zodiacs.     I always walked the inside decks on Celebrity as their jogging track is too short.     The best areas for walking are on the QM2 and she has an actual promenade, hope to be on her for 19 days in December.

If you used a credit card for the deposits or for the full cruise fare there is no problem.

The ports in Tahiti and Hawaii are definitely not container ports!   Can’t speak to the rest of the crossing.

How about your almost immediate complaint to the Better Business bureau?    How did that pan out?

Unfortunately you still need to test before you board your cruise.   Testing rules may still apply to flights within Europe, check with your airline.

Sounds like it would be much easier to take the antigen test and forget  all the paperwork.   If it’s been 30 days since your positive PCR test you would likely have a negative antigen test.   You can do a test with one of those free COVID test kits we got from the government.

Never felt unwelcome in St. Barts.   Really enjoyed shopping in the town without the usual hawkers trying to pull you into the shops.   We were welcomes into Hermes where we made a purchase and in a cookware shop where we made other purchases.   Guess we must have dressed like the locals.

Seabourn appears to be staying away from Asia in 2023.  Odyssey will now be sailing the South Pacific route to Vancouver.   She won’t be sailing from Japan.   Seabourn is joining the other lines by avoiding Asia (and their COVID rules].

It’s my favorite port in the Caribbean.   Prior to COVID, we took a tour there sponsored by Virtuoso Travel.   Took a small van around the island and had lunch on the beach of a wonderful hotel.  We ate in a screened in cabana and the wines were excellent.   Very upscale shopping but you can buy French perfume actually made in France with wine alcohol.   It is much better than the perfumes shipped to the U.S.    I would never pass on this island but would pass on the rest of the Caribbean.

Just remember that your suite is one of 16 or 18 your retreat host will have to service.   If 6 or 7 of the suites want breakfast or dinner served around the same time it will present problems.  The host cannot be in six places at one time.   

Did Celebrity pay for your car rental as you decided to stay outside of Southampton?   

We book as soon as flight are available, about 330 days so August 2023 will soon be available.

You may want to check the Celebrity Board.   Passengers are not very pleased with the line.   Of course you don’t have to worry about dressing as casual dress is the norm.   You also won’t need to take any clothes for ballroom dancing as they don’t have a ballroom.

Why are they isolating?   You can now fly back to the U.S. without any tests so the airlines are now boarding active COVID cases

It is difficult to believe the OP purchased a computer and then did not turn it on and have it set up in the computer store onboard.   I have never purchased electronics anywhere where I have not check to see the item was usable.

You would do much better with a private transfer to Southampton.   We have hd great success with London Cabs.
