My daughter has booked a balcony x 2 on Quantum from Brisbane 7th December and chose to let them assign the rooms but is requesting inter connecting rooms. They are saying she will have to pay extra for this but as yet haven't said how much. Is this normal? If you do the booking yourself the price doesn't seem to change for interconnecting rooms.

Have also seen glasses repair kits in shops on board

Unfortunately on the long cruise we were on it was a bit of a lottery with first show times anywhere between 6 and 8pm.

We have been on a Princess cruise where show times varied from one night to the next, nothing consistent at all.

When I needed repair of glasses just went to the jewellery store onboard and they fixed it for me.

You can buy a coffee card only which will also give you specialty teas and hot chocolate.

We have also experienced this problem with some outlets not having enough room above the desk to be able to plug the lead in.

We were on Majestic February 2020, Sydney to Singapore which was terminated in Freo because of Covid. No Medallion on it.

That is correct. A number of years ago we were taking out an annual policy with RACQ and told the agent our longest cruise we wanted covered was eg 30days. He suggested we take choose cover for a longer time, and not sure it cost any more, for which we were grateful as we ended up doing a longer cruise also under the one policy.

We were of the belief that it was the other diners to approve and also us. Was all good anyway. We had started off at table with another couple but was obvious after a few days they were not going to turn up. On the Hawaii cruise where there was only four of us on the table for ten, the four of us were the only ones assigned to that table.

On our Hawaii cruise we were at a table for ten with only one other couple. There was a table of six beside us but they would not let us all sit at the same table even though it was served by the same waiter. On our 42 night Japan cruise , we ended up at a table by ourselves but after a request from us were moved to a larger table, though we were "on approval"from the other diners for a couple of nights.
