pamwigs replied to pamwigs's topic in Oceania Cruises
Thanks for your expert advice. 🙄 I know we have to ask the cruise line and I did update and explained my situation. -

Which is ok. We just want to eliminate flying to LA when we can just drive to Seward. -

Sorry I should have been clearer. Cruise starts in LA and ends in Singapore. 55 days The first 5 ports are here in Alaska. We want to skip them and Board here in Seward Alaska, before going to Asia -
We want to pick up a cruise in Seward Alaska instead of LA. Is that possible?

We are craft beer drinkers and prefer the same. We have hundreds of craft beers here in Alaska. -

Princess has some nice cruise tours. Holland is also nice and Princess agents work both lines -
Can someone please explain luggage for Alaska Cruisetour
pamwigs replied to MudderBear's topic in Princess Cruises
The carryon for the coach or train should be small, like a backpack. Your luggage will be transported by Princess. If your carryon has all your clothes, that is too big. -

Really??? Things happen. Maintenance is a pretty good reason. It is better than the alternitive.
-
Speak to someone at Princess so they can have them at CS when you board.

EZAir flights are always being changed or canceled. Like I said. EZAir is a headache.

Can someone please explain luggage for Alaska Cruisetour

I worked for Princess at one hotel and at the Whittier Port. You will get a Welcome package when you check into your hotel that will have luggage tags for your trip. One bag for your land portion and one bag for the cruise. You will put the tags on your cruise bag with your name. The next day you will put your bags outside your room that night. They will be picked up by Princess and taken to the correct lodge and correct ship. You will have a small carry on for your trip on the coach or train (depending on what transportation you choose). DO NOT put meds, money, travel docs or anything personal in your bags going to the ship or lodge -

First the EZ Air mess - now a new nightmare!

The Medallion app is not new. It is almost 3 years old. We have cruised twice with it with no issues. -
Has anyone used Alaska Air to get to their cruise port?
pamwigs replied to Crown Cruiser's topic in Princess Cruises
Alaska Airlines is a great company. -
It looks like the Ft Lauderdale and the LA cruises are almost sold out. We are interested in 2025.
-
You pick up your medallion when you check-in desk at the port.

Stories like this are why we book on our own. Too many nightmare stories. Who wants the stress and extra work? Going on a cruise should be fun.
