  1. Yes you are right it was giovannis table. I still call it portofinos as that is what i remember from our first time on FOS.

We ate there a couple nights ago and the food was pretty good. The shrimp and scallops were very well done. The veal and risotto was very tasty. My dessert was just ok but my wifes was very good though. Might want to give it a try another day.

Nice meeting you at the meet n mingle.

Hope to see you again on another cruise.

  2. On a b2b FOS cruise right now. We got a meeting in olive twist lounge on friday and they gave us some handouts. One was a ship itinerary for the coming week. On turnaround day we met at Studio B for the concierge to take us off freedom and into the terminal to check out of customs. We then reboarded the ship and had full use of the ship with only 30 or so passengers before they let everyone on at 11am or so.

We did have a special luncheon in portofini for b2b cruisers. That was a very good lunch by the way.

We were also able to change tables in mdr to a window table for the next cruise with no problem. My wife booked spa treatments for the next cruise as soon as we reboarded the ship was the only other thing i remember.

It was a great experience doing b2b and if our schedule will allow it we will be doing it again. Its a great way to cruise.

  3. Paid $681 with $100 OBC for the 1/28/17 sailing category C2. Price is still the same with my TA

    B2 is $702 with $100 OBC and B1 is $723 with $100 OBC. That's for the 1/28/17 sailing

These prices are per cabin or per passenger? Just got back from the next cruise desk and it was about about double for the 1/28/17 sailing. If the prices above were per cabin it would make flying from hawaii worthwhile for a b2b. Thanks

  4. Well folks... I too wish to thank everyone on this forum. Harmony wasn't even on my radar whatsoever until I saw the couple threads re pricing earlier in the week. I was planning something else around this time frame but I too just couldn't resist this opportunity. So thank you very very much to all of you who contributed to this thread. I am now an extremely happy cruiser in one of the very farthest aft B1's b2b :D:D:D:D

p.s. incredibly aft 11729 & 11329 are still avail on the Jan 7/17 sailing, and only 11329 avail on the Jan 14/17 is anyone wants to sail right above my cabin [emoji14]

I was just wondering what the price of the cabin with fees and tax was for B1? I checked and it was $2143 for two and didnt think the price was that good. I was hoping for cheaper. Thanks

  5. Just went with bernards yesterday. All i can say is my family and i had an AWESOME time with bernards tours and driver/guide junior. They are a class act. Saw so much more than we did last year with excursion thru RCI. Nice clean bus and saw the other buses they had and they were all comfy and clean. Bus holds about 20 passengers or so and got to see souch of the island. Had the option of staying at a beach with a later pickup but we just wanted to goto maho instead and see the planes.

Don't think you will have. Problem disembarking from ship as they use both gangways and it is not a tender port. Enjoy your time and st marteen and bernards tours. If you have any question just ask away.

  6. On the freedom right now and have the pdp. The past 2 days bar staff have been great at the pool bar and vintages. I do give a $1 with every drink i order whether it be a glass of wine or mixes cocktail. On boarding went to pool bar and had a drink and got a few more by sail away. By today he knew me and I never had to wait to long and asked if I wanted the same. I have had great service at vintages last night and am sitting there right now typing this post.

There is a big debate about if tipping extra helps you get better service. I feel that some bartenders realize that you do give gratuities they tend to make it very easy and make sure you are happy with their service. When I first went to the bar they did not know I was tipping extra but everyone that has served me has been courteous and as efficient as could be. I tip extra because they do a good job and really $10 to $15 more a day to make someone very happy I am glad to do as it is a very small part of cruise costs (airfare, cruise, tours etc.).

Was on the freedom last year for same itinerary and I believe the bar service has been better this year. Will update over the next 12 days as we are on a b2b. If anyone has questions pm or post up and I will answer when I can.
