  1. DH and I have gone to JR's both times were on Freedom and enjoyed it. Is it the best burger that we have had, of course not. Is it even better than Guys on Carnival, not always...but it is something different and we enjoy the atmosphere and we use the b1g1 shake coupon. I enjoy the JR breakfast though, that is not charge (or wasn't the last time we were on Freedom).

I must admit that when we sail Harmony in November, we won't bother going to JR's simply because there are so many other eating venues on the ship.

Last October on freedom and on indy JR was not open for breakfast. Just for lunch and dinner(well actually till a very late dinner). Did it change recently that they open for breakfast like th oasis class ships?

  2. Airfare for four of us $3650

    Cruise 7nt - $5900 crown loft

    Cruise 7nt - $4100 inside and b1 cabin

    Internet for 7 nights- $220

Gratuities - $1000 automatic plus a littlr extra for good service

    Rental car - $180

    Hotel stay - $950

Taxi to fll to rent car -$30

    Total $16030-OBC $800 =$15230

We have to fly across an ocean and the continental us so flights are almost 25% of the costs. This is for 2 weeks on a b2b and 4 nights hotel. Two nights before the cruise and two nights after before flying home.

This is a little splurge for us as it is our first time in a full suite. The price was not much more than 2 cabins so decided to book it.

  3. I booked a next cruise balcony room onboard last june and it was $100 deposit. Also opted to take obc on the future cruise. Well in feb moved the balcony room to another cruise and kept the future obc of $100. Finally upgraded to a crown loft suite and rccl rep warned me that i would lose the $100 obc as it wasn't offered on the current promotion. I told her that the $100 was from a next cruise booking. She asked me to hold on while she checked some things. Came back and said that i would keep my next cruise obc but it would now be $200 since we went to a suite

Just yesterday had to move a next cruise $100 obc to an inside stateroom. Was informed by the rep that my obc would drop to the correct $50 amount.

I would recommed taking the obc amount immediately. That way it would not matter what happens later as you already got the obc.

  4. Your one hour on the ship before other passengers arrived was better than what we experienced on allure sailing june 23.

We got off the ship about 11:00 am and waited in the terminal for customs. We were waiting in the terminal for customs. No one showed up and then finally we were told to just board back on allure. Baddest part of this was the fact that new passengers were already on board and the line to get back on was quite long.

We actually boarded 20 minutes after the new cruisers started boarding.

  5. On grandeur in feb they allowed us to buy a drink package per day. I think it was day 4 or so. You could buy it for day 4 then skip a day or two and buy it on another day if you wanted.

The bars were pretty empty the whole cruise. I believe the food and beverage manager needed it to help with the poor salea.

  6. Last sunday on allure it wasn't so smooth. We sat at thenschooner bar till 11:15. Escorted off the ship and sat in the terminal for 5 minutes or so. Then was told to walk back on the ship. Did not have to see cpb officer or anything. Could be that cpb did not have enough agents as there was still a line waiting to get through customs for that mornings departure.

As we were waiting and probably walkingoff the ship they were letting the new passengers on board. When we finally got back on the ship there were quiet a lot of passengers on the promenade already.

Thisnwas quiet differnt than the other b2b we did on freedom and indy.

  7. Just left coastal about 830 and it was pretty quiet at that time. Probably had a busier early sitting as everyone probably wanted to catch the 8pm show of mama mia.

They are doing 2 different menus. Tonight was vineyard, nights 2 and 3 will be harvest, then back to the vineyard menu for night 4. Was explained they would be alternating the menu that way.

I am allergic to seafood so my wife and mom will be eating there for the next couple nights. My son and i will be eating in the mdr as there is nothing on the menu he would eat. The host did offer to book a table for 4 for the week even though only my wife and I are in the suite.

  8. Thanks for the info. We leave on the Allure Sunday! Thanks for the info on the drink card, did you notice if there's a coffee card? We're doing MTD- fingers crossed! We've booked Giovanni's Table one night. Looking forward to Mamma Mia, booked it the first night, water show the second night.

Momma Mia was very good. Be warned that it is about 2.5 hours long. There is n intermission halfway. Hope to meet you on sunday.

  9. The pricing has generally been the same on all ships but people confuse online pricing before the cruise with on board pricing. The current price for SURF online before the cruise ids $9.09 for one device. The package can be shared across as many devices as you want but only one device at a time can be online.

Someone replied they bought surf on harmony for $9.99 a day. On allure it is $12.99 a day.

A few months ago before the big rollout of this surf and stream it was $15 a day on allure and oasis and i believe that at that time it was equivalent to the surf and strem package as people have reported that they were able to stream movies onboard.

So what used to be $15 for one device and $22.50 for two devices minus your c&a discount is now $17.99 per device minus your c&a discount. Thats an increase of 20% for one device and 60% for two devices.
