Does anyone have pics of Columbus cove? Are the trees enough shade to stay all day?

We will be in port from 8am-6pm in May. I'm curious if there would be enough time to do the Soualiga sky explorer AND Maho beach. Is a taxi best foe getting to these locations? Where can I find more info on taxis/trolleys and travel time to these locations? How can I find out when big planes come in so I can plan accordingly?

Thanks! I made a similar list but then realized I had missed a few.

We are going in May also. I'm interested as well. I would love something that included plane watching as well as some great scenery views/photo opportunities. Bernard tours may be worth looking into.

The link won't work on my tablet or phone. Probably just my device. What about Wipe out Cafe?

One more question....ok 2. Is fort admission required to do this walk, and what is easiest way there from port. Also, we only have until 2 pm so how long should we plan on to do this?

Thanks. The solarium sounds like it turns into a fancier place at night so I wasn't sure.

I can't seem to figure out if 3 of the places I see on deck plans, but not on dining list, are included or for fee. Solarium cafe, cafe promenade and cups and scoops are the specific ones I'm asking about. I know the solarium is for fee at night but what about during the day?

Have you done the walk along the water that goes around the outside of the walls around the base of El Morro. This is a beautiful walk!
Following . Is this walk wheelchair accessible?

My 18yr old sister will be with us on the Oasis in May. She has mobility issues. We will be bringing her wheelchair so she doesn't get worn out walking around. I would like to maybe see the forts but I'm unsure if able to do that with the chair. I've heard mention of a garden with shops near the dock. Looking for info on both subjects. Thanks!

I'm was told about a boat that picks you up near the port and goes to somewhere very near Maho beach. They dock and stay for few hours so you can watch planes or swim to the beach. Supposedly they provide a hot dog type lunch. Does anyone know about this and what it may be called?

128 days until the Oasis!

First Night Done Right. First night dine in a specialty restaurant for $20. Usually $30 and up.
Thanks!

Not trying to hijack but what is this and is it available to everyone or just higher ranking guests?
-
That's because they're ranked among the top 3 tours on the island per Trip advisor:
Not much walking at all since they basically take you to various spots and you can walk around as far as you want within the allotted period. Think the farthest we walk away from the bus was at the beach stop as we wanted to be more mid beach and that was maybe few hundred feet. If you can walk from one end of the ship to other end, then this should be fine.
But go to their web site and email him your situation to see if he can accommodate you.
Here is the picture where the bus was parked away from the beach
You are given some free time to walk around Marigot but if you don't want to walk far, you can stay nearby the bus
At Maho beach, the bus is parked inside the gates here and if you want to walk to the beach area, you will need to navigate a narrow walk way or walk on the path of on coming traffic as the rocks might be hard for you
Thanks for the info 👍

We moved our cabin here from 11328 bc of the proximity to elevator to help with distance to elevator. My sister has some mobility issues and being all the what back seemed a little daunting when paired with all other walking involved. The new room is at the elevator but also seems to be almost if not directly under the arcade. Are we in for a terrible cruise? Obviously not our favorite choice but had to be closer to elevator and this was all that was left.

I've heard a little bit about Bernards tours. How much walking is involved? Is this a definitive no go for someone with mobility issues?

Assuming normal/typical weather...do aft upper level balcony rooms feel a lot of motion?
-
Need all info you can tell me regarding room in general, noise, MOTION.... Or direct me to a thread that already discussed. Thanks!

DH is prone but did fine inside last time. But, we had fantastically quiet water the whole trip and he wore the patch. It was only 3 days though. A 7 day he wouldn't be able to wear the patch bc of the side effects. He has the sea bands though.

We would drive. We live in FL.
Can you put 3 people in a regular interior room?
Increased gratuities- being grandfathered in?
in Royal Caribbean International

From reading that posted email....it looks like a room of 3 will be paying approx $45/day, and that doesn't include other gratuities that are automatically added. Did I understand that right?
