    Pier 23 roght next to the ships has several restaurants and the Strand just a couple of blocks away has some also.

    We are on the Royal Princess now (6/25 to 7/2). Mask are required but not enforced. With each passing day fewer and fewer are wearing them. We leave tomorrow for the land portion, it will be interesting to see how prevalent masks are at the lodges.

    Carnival has shuttles from both IAH and HOU. HOU is closer to Galveston by about 40 minutes. Sounds as though the rental company that is cheaper and offers airport drop off is best if you intend to drive to Houston area then fly back home. SWA flies into Hobby a lot and United is higevat IAH.

    You are correct, time will tell whether masking makes any difference or not. If it doesn’t, a lot of unhappy cruisers will exist!

    You do understand that, other than the K-95 surgical masks properly fitten and worn all the time, the paper and/or cloth masks offer almost zero levels of protection?
