That being said, one should respect the rules laid out by the establishment.  This I agree with.

I do, too. Do your research before booking any vacation and know up front what the rules or expectations are.

And no one needs to use a shirt as a napkin. The ship has plenty of cloth napkins and even cloth towels in the public restrooms. 😉

  2. Best place for sail away? Sunset Bar.

We had held off on Le Petit Chef because of the reviews I had read here. We decided to try it on our Summit Boston - Canada cruise last month and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun, the dinner was delicious, and the staff was wonderful. We chose the menu with the ravioli and the filet mignon because it had the most items that we would not need/want to substitute. I would recommend reading through the menus and choose a night with a menu that you would enjoy.

looking for the best , quiet spot to read a book (in the sun) when on the Summit to Bermuda next summer.  tried the serenity deck on the CCL Mardi Gras this past December and people were so loud and brought their own music. no real serenity.

Try all the way forward on Deck 11, near the Sky Lounge. Just off the walking track. There are also loungers aft of the main walking track, but they are closer to the stage with daytime activities.

If you are in a suite, the Retreat Sundeck is sunny and pretty quiet.

  4. We’re on the current cruise. Fabulous colors in Quebec City (Montmorency Falls). Good colors today in Sydney (we hiked up the Coxheath Trail at Blacketts Lake) in spite of the hurricane. Some fall colors in Halifax,  Bar Harbor, and Portland. We have fall colors photos from all of our ports and have enjoyed beautiful, crisp fall weather with jackets, gloves, and hats.

Maine also has a fall colors web page.https://www.maine.gov/dacf/mfs/projects/fall_foliage/index.shtml You can sign up for updated
