Hi, can those who have sailed the Escape tell me if they shows movies each evening on the deck that can be attended by our 6 and 8 year olds? Movie types and do they serve popcorn? I searched but didn't get a real clear idea .... Thanks for any info!

 You're going on a ship of 3000+ and you're worried abvout a bread basket? For real? I could care less if my table mate picked me a piece of bread out of the basket and threw it across the table on to my plate. Man up already! Do you wear a mask and gloves about the ship too? I'm just poking you with humor, don't take it seriously. :DSailing on the Breeze in March and I was just wondering how the bread basket works, particularly at bigger tables when you're seated with other people. Do the waiters serve you from the baskets first before putting it on the table? Are their tongs? I realize this is paranoid, but I'm a little creeped out by passing a bread basket around with strange people touching my bread :D -
:) I will if you are going in October of 2017 as mine is in April 2017. You might have to take pics for me! I just booked it yesterday. I so want to ask what you paid for it with four guests .... but that wouldn't be proper. ;)If you could would it be possible for you to take some photos and post them because I'll be staying in the same cabin in October and I was wondering would it look like -
I ended up with it happily somehow. It was the only one available for my cruise (or on the ship) and it was just sitting there for my family of four with two young daughters. It must have been a cancel as it came up as avaialble out of nowhere. There is one four person stateroom on cloud 9 spa level it is 11232 and it is a spa stateroom -
Anyone have a link or a site that might have the master list of adult beverages to order on the Escape? I looked but couldn't find one. I used one on RC last year and a list would be great to print and have one for the Escape since we don't know the names of too many cocktails. I don't know if they have full drink menus available on board but RC got rid of theirs making it more difficult to choose something. Thanks!

That's what I want to hear! :)That resort is awesome. You will love it. -
We booked two prenights at the Margaritaville resort and I saw your thread. How did you enjoy that?

I want to touch on a couple things I have read:
1.Does the ship rock more then expected for it's size? Sea sickness?
2. Is it as hard to get a deck chair as I have read?
3. How cool or nice would you describe the kids aqua park and pool?
4. Wait times at a bar to get a drink?
Thanks so much for any info .......

Don't fall for the Invicta pricing scam. E.G.- normally $2000 on sale for $149. Invicta watches are junk.
-
You're asking a very generic question. Better how? Better ship, food, service, excursions, deal ..... what? I got off the RCCL Indy in May and am booked on the NCL Escape for next year. I got A GREAT deal on the NCL Escape for my wife and 2 young girls. Considering nobody has ever been on the Escape yet your question is almost, shall I say ..... silly.... but ask away.

Invicta watches are junk. They are all outside bling and the internals are equal to a garbage disposal. They can be found on clearance most everywhere. It's well know that Invicta inflates their normal price to some ridiculous amount then you get it for 80% off. Example, normally $1299 on sale for $249. Invicta was voted the most hated watch brand by watch connnoisseurs in a recent poll on the top timepiece discussion forums. Not taking away how you may enjoy yours but it's like recommending McDonalds to someone seeking a good meal. You know what's really bad... I got the brand wrong.Invicta is what you want to search for. (I need to wear my watch more often).

I took a trip on the Radiance of the Seas a few years ago to Alaska. RCL has no record of me on that ship .... ever. Not just list points, how's about lost person.

We cruised two weeks after spring break a couple months ago. Crowds were minimal. Kids were back in class and many parents/teens were done with their vacations already.

I can't believe that someone can afford to fly from Pennsylvania and take a pricey cruise ........ and worry about a $5 ATM fee.

Being a huge craft beer fan myself. The District Brew House was one of the reasons I booked the new Escape in March for April of next year. That along with the free UBP and kids sale free promotion, it was a no brainier.

We took an arranged Taxi to the port. It certainly isn't right next door and I believe it took over a half hour easy to get to port. I would book a hotel centrally located to the main attractions in Rome and not focus so much on staying close to the train. Seems like a train would be more work and worry then having your hotel just set you up with a couple taxi/vans.

Just those choosing the UBP as of today. I did not have a service charge for my UBP promo on my invoice from March.Does this also include those who previously booked, or just new bookings? -
Booked the Escape with this free promo back in March, now there is a $68 service charge ( 7 day cruise) added per person for this "freebie" as of today. Glad I got it when I did. My cruise on Escape has gone up $300+ since booking in March. I know this has been mentioned before but just a heads up for those seeking this promo but missed the change.

I just booked our airfare for January 2016. We are flying Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale and only paid $256 per ticket. Total ended up being about $1281. That's a non-stop on Delta.
Wondering if the actual flight time has anything to do with it because we are flying out of Detroit at 7:45am and back from Ft. Lauderdale at 9:45am and those were actually the cheapest when I was looking.
I'm not sure how true this is because I've never actually tried it but I've heard that the cheapest time to book flights is at 1:00pm on a Tuesday.
We also just flew (in april) on Delta for $1288 for four at premium flight times from Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale. I believe the original poster is booking way way to early. The best time to purchase airfair to get the best price is going to be 45-75 days before your cruise. Use Kayak and do a saved price alert. Prices jump and drop depending on the day of the week you buy, not changing the day you leave. Feb isn't usually considered spring break yet so I believe the airlines gouge those who are eager to book early at any cost. Don't pay that price especially on Spirit. Be patient, you have a ton of time.

UDP (ultimate dining) is still available, the UBP (ultimate beverage) isn't anymore. The beverage package is what sold me and my wife as it's worth hundreds more then the others. My wife and I put our drink package to great use on our RCL cruise last month and I plan to do the same on the Escape. The Kids Sail Free promo works well with our young girls. I've watched the prices climb as well since March when I booked that one.Its funny you say that because when we originally booked the April 23 cruise it was a kids sail free (or 3/4 sail free) and we got the UDP.Now the cruise is a 3/4 passengers sail half price and the price of our cabin has jumped over $1000. No UDP as an option as the deals have changed.

We are boarding on the 30th with out two young daughters. We also did this because we know there will be way less kids on that date since its AFTER spring break and it gave us the best price with the kids sail free promo. We just did an RCL on the 24th of April for the same reasons and there were hardly any kids on board. Gave us piece and quiet and our kids more room to play. Same plan for the Escape.I will say this we are booked on the Escape for the last full week of April in 2016 (23-30) and our kids will be coming, even though it is not their spring break...its mine so we have to sail on my schedule. There will be kids. Even if Spring Break is over.
