  1. Can I make a simple suggestion. Since you're already on board and you have many days left put what has upset you behind you and TRY and enjoy yourself the rest of the way. Don't look for things that make you mad going forward..... You're cruisemdoesnt have to be ruined after 2 days especially over missing laundry bags and some complimentary scrubs, or missing basil. Formal night on the Panorama is not so formal..... at all. Don't make mountains out of mole hills. BTW, try and eat dinner at a restaurant at a normal human time ..... not 10pm. They are understaffed and over worked as you already pointed out so give a rest already ..... Things are different cruising right now I some ways .
  2. I agree with you completely. I know many people personally who cruise and don't spend a dime on board.... probably stiff on the tip as well. They don't buy drink packages or take tours nor gamble. They go for the food. This is not the type of cruisers that make Carnival money and there are a lot of them . I have only taken three Carnival cruises with my family (usually other lines) but we do spend money on drink packages, tours, specialty dining, etc. I've received some amazing offers lately. To get back on point I think costs will rise for those types of cruisers previously mentioned to cover the costs while those who spend on board will receive better offers. Overall I can't see how cruises for 2023 and 2024 don't go much higher.
  3. I could see them not caring about losing some bucks on things like WiFi which costs them anything but getting a 20% discount on cruise cash doesn't sound like something they would be thrilled about but who knows, maybe you could be right. Anytime they want to make some more pricing errors it would be fine with me.
  4. I'm not sure what you expected them to do when it was an error. They were not going to give you a pricing error willingly especially if you called AFTER they fixed the mistake. I wouldn't have even made the phone call let alone waited 55 minutes to be told what would be expected.
  5. That's what the code was intended to give the 20% discount to originally. The rest of our purchases we got lucky on .....that unless of course they come back and somehow cancel everything we all purchased with the promo code before they fixed it.
  6. I agree, they caught the error and fixed it. Congrats to those who scored some real savings while it lasted. Saved $200 between cruise cash, wifi, post cruise transfers, and a tour.
  7. Bar cash is stupid and pointless when cruise cash does the same thing and can be used anywhere onboard. Many different rates and offers for various guests without reason.....
  8. The code didn't work on my cruise on my tablet when I copy and pasted the code. It DID work when I used my smart phone and typed the code in. Save me $120 on wifi, post cruise transfers, and cruise cash. I also have cheers and excursions booked but I'm nervous and hesitant to cancel it all and rebook them thinking something would have to go wrong! Tempted to try it though.........
  9. Is it for cruises for more than 8 days?
  10. Doesn't seem to work on my Alaska cruise on the Spirit for August
  11. You may have better luck asking in the Alaska forum if no answers here.
  12. Normally for me Carnival is my last choice but the offers I received from them are so much better than most of the other lines offerings by a mile right now. I do have a spring break cruise booked on MSC for April 2023 at a spectacular price. I'm not seeing anything of great value from Princess, Holland, or Celebrity. Royal has some ok deals while my old favorite NCL went from the best value to the absolutely worst value in my opinion and future cruise pricing with them is laughable.
  13. I don't think the vast majority on CC have ever sailed on overpriced Disney cruises and have never eaten at Remy or Palo and have no idea what they are . What kind of restaurant are you looking for and what does Michelin class mean? Have you gone to the NCL and looked at their offerings and descriptions before asking here?
  14. I would ask in the general, "ask a cruise question" forum.
  15. NCL drink package is the most widely discussed topic here besides covid. Search the forum as it's FULL of information on this topic
  16. Not many success stories when it comes to refunds or credits due to medical without insurance. You can call and ask but this is why travel and Carnival insurance is offered. In their eyes there would be no sense in offering insurance to make money if they are going to allow those who chose NOT to purchase it credits or refunds . They would have to do that with everyone that had a reason or excuse to cancel a cruise and wanted their money back or credits or whatever. Best to call as previously stated.
  17. I agree, the airfare is horrid. Had to book at $569 a piece for 4 from Detroit to Seattle for August non-stop. That's with a red eye getting into Seattle at 1AM too. The air cost only about $500 less than our 8 day Alaskan cruise for four.
  18. Yea, when Carnival had that 50% off sale a few weeks I had to jump on it for 2024. It wasn't so much because it was such an appealing cruise in itself. I knew that sailing a new ship (Jubilee) with wife and two teenage daughters for a week in an extended balcony for $1700 was steal and come 2024 who knows how much it would be. I find myself booking insurance policy cruises out of economic speculation and the outlook isn't pretty in my opinion. Take whatever amazing deals I'm handed now knowing in two years they could be double or triple.
  19. Is anyone booking more Carnival cruises than usual for the future out of fear of rising cruising costs instead of simply a desired cruise? I started booking cruises for 2023 a bit back and even one on the Jubilee for August 2024 a month ago. Normally I book for desire and destination but have been booking any great deals I can because of price thinking that cruising costs will continue to rise very quickly and may price many out. Anyone approaching their bookings this way or are you approaching your cruises for 2023 and 2024 in your usual manner with prices down the road not being a concern?

  21. It's weird that people think that the lines would and can consider having all these bizarre foods for certain lifestyle eating choices.
