Your correct, the Rustic Inn is not the place to go for peeled and cleaned shrimp or quiet conversation. It’s impossible to devein shrimp with their shell on. It’s simple to do once you peel them.

What are you talking about ?

Do your classroom work ( actually most do it online now ) and pool dives where you live.
Do your open water dives on one of the islands. You get the boring stuff done and your
check out dives are more fun from a warm island.
The complete course with open water dives is $350 where I live.

You witnessed most of them live, but the collage is so much more powerful!

Rick, your live reviews are awesome and you seem like a really cool guy with a great attitude.
Please don't take this the wrong way but I don't think this collage will help in your
search for Mrs. C

I’m a slow typist OK?? And I’m specifically asking about the supposed all-inclusive cruising on the Sun and the Sky. Always a good idea to read the entire comment before posting.

Nicely played.

DW and I are about to embark on our 24th cruise. We’ve only NOW made it to St. Thomas (last month), and have never sailed to St. Martin. So that is a generalization ;)
Sent from my iPad using Forums
Of course it is a generalization but there is a lot of truth to it.
OP never said all seasoned cruisers have been to those ports.

I have a hard time looking at the fact RCL allows you to bring on two bottles of wine as a perk.
That being the case, I really love the perk of being able to bring on my own tooth paste and shampoo
to use in my room.
-
Well not sure it is most, however those same people cannot pay for the lowest price cabin in each category, so they are actually paying for the upgrade (which is no upgrade at all, and can be hundreds of dollars) and the gratuity... for the privilege of "included drinks"
I thought you just couldn't book a guarantee and get the package as a perk.
-
I see (according to your signature) that you haven't been on a Royal Caribbean cruise in 24 years.
If you have one on the books now, welcome back.
I also see that you cruise NCL a lot. Their beverage package is $89 a day plus 20% gratuity. :o
Most people on NCL only pay the 20% gratuity and get the package "free."

CB, any thoughts on this?

Perhaps because this question has been answered over, and over, and over again.

These boards would be pretty empty if questions weren't answered over, and over, and over again.

The dreaded propeller suction is mostly legend. As the ship passes through the water, it is pushing tens of thousands of tons of water aside (ever notice how the bow wave travels outwards from the ship in a v-pattern?), so if you fall overboard, you are likely to be pushed away from the ship, and the propellers tend to suck water from under the hull, not from alongside. Dangers from propellers are when a cargo ship is running with little or no cargo, so the propeller is at the surface, or in the case of tankers, sometimes above the surface. Cruise ship propellers are always 5-8 meters below the surface. And as for falling off the back being the "most likely" to get sucked in, that is complete rubbish, as anywhere on the stern of the ship is behind the propellers, and the water flow is away from the propeller.
I love when someone lays out a well thought out, perfectly presented, specific argument and then you
reply with actual facts based on direct knowledge that destroys what the self proclaimed scholar posted.
I look forward to your posts more than half priced wings and cold beer at happy hour. Thank you.

Two bottles per stateroom or one bottle per person? Thanks in advance! Get confused between RCCL and Celebrity.
I know the rule is two per stateroom but I have never had a problem bringing on
two per adult.
-
That's why I said no flames.
Sent from my XT1635-01 using Forums mobile app
That was hardly flaming. 41 and sunny tomorrow and 37 and sunny on Friday.
Your cruise and embarkation will not be affected.

when the bartender cuts you off, thats it. an average of more than one drink per hour seems to be stupidly excessive even for the binge drinkers. I'm with others.. he was probably sharing
An average person drinking an average alcohol drink will have metabolized the drink
after an hour. One an hour is hardly binge drinking.

I think a better word is “complimentary.” However, it’s just semantics anyway. All they are asking is what will cost onboard other than the cruise fare you paid.
The best word is "included."
-
Gosh, folks complain when you start a new thread regarding something already posted. And people complain when you add to their thread to avoid creating another post about the same trip. Its like a no win situation.....
You have changed my mind. All reviews for a specific cruise should be on
one thread. This will be a much better system than the one that has been used here
since before there were emojis.
-
You could of posted this as a new thread rather than mine.

Completely agree with you.

Haha. It was all in good fun. I had a great time with the crew. We really did exchange information. The whole crew did actually. Hopefully, you see some of my pictures popping up on their website and other marketing materials. [emoji6]
Another shot of Rachel looking much happier!
No doubt you are the only cruise passenger she ever exchanged information with [emoji846]

They provision their ships, including liquor, in their home ports. Most of those voyages go out of U.S. ports, and most of those go out of Florida.
They must buy the liquor they sell in the onboard store from a non US port to get it duty free. Why wouldn't they also
buy the liquor for the onboard bars at those non US ports ? I would think they also pick up their fuel from wherever
it is the least expensive. The ships move so why not buy items that are considerably elsewhere at those places ?
They outsource everything from labor to where they build the ship based on cost.

a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, especially a story with a funny punchline.

By that definition it wasn't a joke. IMHO, inb4 someone says, that's my opinion.

The one where the drunk guy or girl walks away from leaving money in it.
You don't tell the drunk guy or girl they left their money there ?
-
The guy sitting at the desk across from me at work seems ill. I am travelling down to the cruise terminal by coach. I fully intended to lie on the form though not like I would get any of the money back is it?I suspect we might get early boarding because of the crutch another reason why we are taking it.
Can't believe you are having such a hard time getting anyone to take the bait.
