The last two times we flew into Fort Lauderdale, we took a van service to Miami for, I think, $17 a person. I was thinking of using Uber for our February trip, but now think I will continue with the van service. We will also be on a smaller ship, the Jewel, for the first time in a few months so Iam looking forward to reading about your experience. Have a wonderful time.

I definitely will. Did you book directly with them or through NCL? I did book through NCL last night, but just now I noticed you could book with them directly. The price difference is only a few dollars after the discounts.

Been on the Escape twice and loved it both times. The Escape is my husband's favorite ship, while mine is the Joy.

@YVRteacher.....after reading your latest post and positive review of the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman's Tour, I just booked it for my husband and I. Tomorrow I will cancel our previous plans. Really enjoying your live report and glad you are having a wonderful time.

Our group of 14 purchased and used the NCL app on the Epic in March and it, surprisingly, worked great for us.

I agree with @MeHeartCruising, your English is very good but the NCL wording is not so clearly written. The FCC will definitely be put in your account at the end of your sailing, August 15, 2023. However, as I understand it, it has to be used on a sailing that ends before August 15, 2024. As your 2024 sailing does not end until after this date, I believe you would not be able to use it. I would change your cruise to an earlier one.

I agree. While we do pay $40 a person on land, on the ship we feel like we already paid a set value for dinner so we have no desire to spend an additional amount of money. We are set with the two included with FAS and the two included with our status. Last month on the Epic, we all really enjoyed the couple of meals we had in the MDR. My BIL even thought one of them was better than the one we treated him to in the Haven.

Agree......if in fact they were able to preorder pizza and it was not ready, they should not have felt so entitled to cut the line and grab what was available at that time. I do not believe they were able to preorder pizza. If that is a thing, I believe a lot of passengers would be doing it.

Correct, you are only allowed one price drop in FCC after final payment which means timing is important. Are you weeks out or still a few months out and are waiting for a bigger price drop?

@cruiseny4life. The two times we were issued FCC for price drops, we were not able to see them on our end. But since I had the email stating the FCCs were approved, I knew about them and there was no chance of me forgetting about them.

We also take an assortment of Yetis with us and have been very happy with their usefulness both on the ship and off the ship doing excursions.

@dachengdao..you are very welcome. We were able to use the Vibe a lot when we sailed once in December. As we love the Vibe, I do try to keep up with the updates.

I agree....there is no down side for NCL. We ended up taking a second cruise last year just to use the FCC that we had no intention of taking.

The $100 OBC for a cabana is long gone. We have been in the Vibe on the Escape, Getaway and Joy. Only when we were on the Escape the second time, we were allowed to order food from the Haven snack menu. That was in 2019 and I have not read anyone being offered this in any Vibe since.

We were on the Joy twice last year and both times passed on going to Q. Now after reading alot of positive reviews and comments, I think we will definitely give it a try when we are back on the Joy next year. We will be with extended family and a lot of country music fans (my two young adult children included) and I think they will enjoy it.
