Kat I took some tortillas from trader joes in San Francisco back to NZ , we love them as flour and corn . I started packing yesterday , looks so hot in Europe at present , I purchased a fan with batteries and a water sprayer to take , ugly but hopefully helps . Last thing to buy is a power pack for my iphone as its not lasting as long . I got a new ipad in San Fran so cant quite justify a new phone as well !

Hi Melody your weather sounds like ours,we’re away at the lake for the weekend and it’s raining again,by the way lovely garden photos and a great idea to protect your pots with the umbrellas. My mother and l leave on our trip two weeks today,it’s been a long wait . Cynthia exciting news about your Rome booking,I’m pretty sure it was you that recommended the Albergo del Senato where we ending up booking and are staying at. Kat you sound like my husband with the dentist,he’s had a filling replaced three times and got a crown last week,so pricey.I just remembered last time we were in Rome he broke his tooth on a sandwich at the train station! I forgot to say when I was in San Francisco I found a gold sequin top at Bloomingdale’s on sale for $50 for the formal wedding and have got some wide leg black pants to wear with it,Bloomingdale’s is closing there soon so a few bargains,I’ll take the outfit on the cruise as well Enjoy your weekend everyone

Hello everyone.I arrived back from San Francisco this morning. I finally tried Noosa yogurt ,it was only on the shelf in Vanilla but was very nice. I was hoping to shop in San Francisco for my Europe trip but it is so sad, so many shops have closed or are closing .The Westgate Mall downtown is closing at the end of August ,apparently there is too much crime.Sad that such a wonderful city has changed so much. We went over to Sausalito and it felt much safer ,although very chilly on the ferry! I did try my new bag and it worked very well .

I know what you mean about coughing nowadays ,you feel like you have to explain yourself. My husband and I wore masks mostly last year but it did create a barrier and its the first cruise where we didn't really make friends ,although it was nice. -
Congratulations on your 50th anniversary Sherri ,we are only 35 years this year and how wonderful to do a family cruise. Dentists sound just as expensive over there as here in NZ . My covid isolation is almost over, not sure about the USA but we still have to isolate for 7 days .My symptoms have been mild and thankfully no one else has got it . Ive been watching Queen Charlotte on Netflix and really enjoying it. Not much chance of different outfits but we have been invited to a wedding in September and the dress code is formal ,will have to start looking .

I decided the excursion is better with my mother , my husband and I would probably get a taxi. Before covid my husband and I started a Seabourn cruise in Amsterdam and it finished in Copenhagen , a beautiful city. If I remember correctly you were on the sane cruise but we never met .

We decided to book the Seabourn excursion to Mdina and Valletta. SLSD we do also overnight in Valletta. I think I read you are cruising this month? Please enjoy. My mother and I both have covid at present for the first time , better now than in 5 weeks !

Sorry for your loss PH. All this dental work sounds painful and pricey.I went to the dentist in Barcelona after a cruise with a sore tooth .It looked very modern ,they told me there was nothing wrong. When I returned home ,the tooth had died and needed a crown! Thanks for the Malta tips . Last night I tested positive for Covid ,first time for me . Only good thing is it’s before my big trip. Im going to San Fran in two weeks with my husband and will go to Trader Joes and try the yogurt you all wrote about, what was the brand? It sounded delicious

I am starting a cruise next month and we have a stop in valletta. I am thinking of booking the excursion to Medina however it say it is strenuous. How strenuous is it for those have done this excursion. I am travelling with my mother who is 82 but walks 5kms a day

Great news Lois ,the hand is not my favourite place to have bolos taken. Might have a look at the Athlete sale 🙂 Cynthia I managed to get two double rooms booked at Albergo del Senato in Rome ,they may have had a cancellation .Mum has booked a double as the single looked quite small .We love local hotels rather than big hotel chains.
