  1. I wrote in "1 bottle water" on the tag that I hung on my door handle every night and was never charged,when I had the Plus package. I usually have my robe on the bed and a couple of dollars on the desk. Once,I didn't hear the knock and they called me on the phone and delivered it!

  2. Now I understand why I met Randy Fenoli on the Discovery Cabo cruise last April! He told me that he had been asked to be one of the christening honorees at the end of our cruise and he had never been on a Princess cruise, and needed to experience one! He was super friendly. I had never watched any of his tv shows until after I came home. He does alot of requests for Make A Wish. His dresses can cost more than the wedding package Princess is selling! Why would he have been on a Princess Cruise when he can afford a private yacht and privacy away from all the fans that recognize him.

  3. I used resortpass.com for a day room in Miami this month. It worked out well for me to pass the time until my 8:30PM flight. I see that they have offer some hotels in Seattle also. Some are for a room and some are for the pool and other amenities w/o a room. In that case you would leave your bags with the concierge.The one where I stayed, I had the room from 11-4.

  4. I sailed on the Caribbean Princess in March this year and don't recall any sewage odor. I brought a car air freshener (the kind some people hang on the mirror) and hung it on my tv stand for a light vanilla scent since I was in an inside cabin and didn't have fresh outside air.

  5. Try calling the Casino department #661-284-4414  and ask to speak to a supervisor. That was the phone number from which I received the confirmation that princess plus had been applied (after 2 weeks of waiting and calling twice!) I have a new CBS offer with the princess plus I think I will use a CVP to book through and see if it works this time!

    And this is another situation that an air tag would be most beneficial.  Love this technology.  Place it in a very inconspicuous location.  If you don't have an iphone, they do make this technology for Android phones.  Can't vouch for efficiency.  

    I purchased a small souvenir license plate (most likely bought for children's bikes)and attached it to the handlebar basket on my  husband's scooter! It was a good conversation starter and he didn't mind that many people knew his name was Fred!

  7. Just wanted to say that the problem I had with Princess casino offer being applied (see my post #246) correctly FINALLY did get corrected!! I received a call yesterday from the Casino department number 661-284-4414,and not the casino call center. It now shows all the special services that are on that offer and I am waiting to see if my pending offer for a balcony gets accepted!

    Thank you for posting that! My flight doesn't leave MIA until 8:30 pm the day we get off the cruise. I have stayed in Miami and Fort Lauderdale many times and also sat at the airport for hours waiting to board a flight! One time we took an Everglades excursion but it still dropped us at the airport way too early. So I booked a day room....the only place I saw that had a room and not just a pool pass, on Resortpass.com at the new? Marriott Bonvoy)Aloft. We can use the pool or the hotel room from 11-4 PM and then take their shuttle to the airport. If I change my mind, I can cancel for a full refund up until 24 hours of reservation. I reserved for April 1, so I still have time to decide. $141 with tax.

I REALLY,really didn't want to be another negative post about Princess casino offers and casino bookings,but it seems it is now MY turn to join in!  I called the casino center number this morning @ 8:30AM and got the message that it would be at least a 30 minute wait or they could call me back and i wouldn't lose my place "in line". I chose call back and they did call me about 9:30AM. My first inquiry was to see if they could tell me what the offer for $750 freeplay is (expiring Mar.1st).I haven't received anything in the snail mail or email for that much $$. The agent said he couldn't see it on his computer and so we both said maybe? that is an error? Anyhow, I wanted to book the offer that came under the door on the last day of my Discovery cruise last month. It has to be booked by February 28,it's an inside cabin and includes Princess Plus w/the beverages, grats,wi fi,and $150 freeplay.It could be up to 12 day cruise but has to be sailed by August 12,2023. I THOUGHT things were going great, the agent repeated and repeated what we were booking! When I opened the booking summary AFTER saying good bye, he booked me with $750 freeplay, and inside cabin BUT NO Princess Plus amenities. So I called back and waited another 45 minutes for the call back and got somebody who kept putting me on hold,coming back every 10-15 minutes to say he was still waiting for a supervisor! What IS going on there? Are 40 agents sharing 2 computers and 2 telephones?? I asked to have the correct booking summary with ALL the correct things showing under special services . He asked me to check and see if I had it NOW! There wasn't anything new sent,just the original summary. He said to check back in 10-14 days..."I assure you it is there now"!! Sorry to be so long winded with this, but many of you know how frustrating this is! I HOPE to be going on the 10 day partial Panama Canal on March 22,2023 and getting to use the offer ...the only one that has the plus package! That's the main reason i was booking this cruise now!

    This shower topic/how to shave your legs with so little space, is a dilema that is for sure! I fill the sink partially with warm water to rinse the razor and use the hair conditioner from the shower on my leg instead of shaving cream. Followed by a shower!  Thanks for posting and have a great cruise.

    I agree with you! If Princess wasn't offering me casino offers...I would be choosing a different company. Now I am just staying away from signing in to the two cruises I have booked! Somehow my birthday month has been changed several times just on my profile. That isn't something i can access myself. It  required talking with 3 people on 3 different calls to "fix" that. Then i found it is only "fixed" on my January cruise, which is my 8th princess cruise and not the July cruise! The same error had happened when I cruised last April.

  12. Before you arrive in Seattle, I suggest you look at Groupon for Seattle and surroundings. In the past,there has been an offer for a city pass. If you get a discount on the Argosy boat tours, I think the harbor tour IS worthwhile! Because there is a live speaking guide on the boat, who will tell you many details. I have gone several times with out of town guests and with school field trips.The tour gets close to the cargo container port and also the ship building and repairing portion. A much better view from the water and so helpful (to me anyway) hearing about it. If it isn't a nice day, the bottom deck is undercover.

  13. We did the Princess Alaska Connoisseur land and sea in 2019. First week by land,second was the cruise. My boyfriend treated me,so I didn't worry about the price!Because of that, I can't say how much we could have saved by not having meals included. Our meals(I believe it was breakfast and dinner) were included and we could order anything from the menu. i think the only time there was a buffet it was breakfast but most of the time we could still order from a menu unless we were in a hurry. Our tour guide who was with us the first week on land, made our dinner reservations for us each night. I was really spoiled by that trip and highly recommend including your meals.

  14. We stayed at the Marriott that is in the Houston Airport a few years before the Covid shut down. We really liked the convenience of taking the monorail from baggage claim to the hotel. At that time, there was a Princess Rep. in the lobby the morning of the cruise and we just had to check in with her there and the bus started there and then filled up the remaining seats at the airport. I wonder if they are still doing that? Someone should know!

  15. I am not familiar with Carnival and Holland America transfer offers BUT, I was looking at the clubroyaleoffers.com/tieroffercruisematchrequest.asp for the first time last night. I am going to try using a Princess offer for a free inside cabin casino offer IF my last Royal Caribbean cruise was before 2018...I think it may have been 2019, and then I guess my only offer they are giving me is $100 off (which isn't something I'd book). Maybe Holland America has a similar match offer?

  16. I shared an inside cabin with my twin boys when they were teenagers--once,because it was so much cheaper than a balcony. It basically was the same layout we had on previous cruises just minus the balcony! I liked that the steward returned the top bunk back to the ceiling during the day. there was also a loveseat size couch where the boys kept their duffle type suitcases if we weren't sitting there.

    Yes, the new Princess has some cheesiness! I was on the new Discovery a few months ago and when we pulled into the beautiful, calm harbor in Cabo, they blew the horn several times which plays the theme song from that old Love Boat show!!

  18. I was surprised that the casino call center answered without putting me on hold this morning! I didn't want to ask but I think the agent i was speaking with must be new. He couldn't find my offer, wanted to know when I received it(expires 7/27)  and if there were any other numbers on it. He had to go talk to someone several times. When I got the booking number I looked and he isn't showing my friend who is sharing the cabin. Shouldn't her name be on the contract too? He also applied this to a different offer(expires 7/13) ,which is ok, if the perks he quoted me incl princess plus like he told me it does but all I see is the $300 freeplay and a $200 tournament comp. Also, does it always show a balance due until the casino pays? The cruise isn't until January but it is going to bug me if I don't get this fixed today or tomorrow!
