So my question is for Jan 2022, do you think Princess is controlling capacity for sailings to prevent over crowding (and allow better social distancing )?
Yes, they are limiting capacity to 60%. They are keeping 1/3 of all insides unbookable to house any possible breakouts. More medical staff has been added and appropriate medications onboard. I am 100% confident that there will not be train wrecks like March 2020. We have come a long, long way. Remember that Feb and Mar 2020, they knew practically nothing, now they do. I personlly feel that first cruises should only be vaccinated, not because i am afraid (im fully vaxed) but any unvaxed that show symptoms and quarantined will be headline news. The media is salivating to get big news, and will not hesitate to blow up to increase viewers. I would not want that in the first cruises, it will do so much harm. Rember a few weeks ago on the news they reported 7 crew members tested positive? Well it seems as though those crew members were not showing symptoms and the news died off, there was no there there.

There are many people that don't want to have to find things on their own and would rather someone else do it, but you pay for that. I enjoyed the hunt for hotels and tours. I will do ship excursion for PH on disembarkation day and then on to airport, that has always worked better for us because our return flight leaves at 10PM.

Our walgreens offer PCR and the IDNOW test that give results in 24 hours. Hawaii states the IDNOW test is accepted. We dont want to take a chance of not getting results in time. Can we take the 24 hr test 72 hours prior? Sorry, i am an old lady and want to make sure i get everything right. I keep reading about people not getting the right test from the right provider and being turned away. It has taken me 3 years to save the money to go and i dont want to blow it. Also some have said they got test at Walgreens for free but our Walgreens charges for the PCR or IDNOW test but if you ha e symptoms they are free. This is nuts.

Sorry, found out 11/6 and 11/13 cruises have met the 60% capacity. 11/20 and 11/27 are close but havent reached 60% capacity yet.

I priced it out and found it is much cheaper to do it on your own rather than the tour. Mine is all set up and saved 1500.00 over the tour price. If money is no object then do the tour, i am not that flush.

Why has the Nov 6 and Nov 13 POA disappeared? Only 11/20 and 11/27 are showing now.

It is just like car insurance. If you pay for coverage and don't have a claim they won't refund the premiums you paid just because you didn't have an accident.

Ive had inside, outside and balcony and balcony wins hands down, at least for me. Sitting on the. Balcony at night is so relaxing. Dont get me wrong ANY cabin would be all right in Hawaii.

Our Oct. 13, 2021 cruise was cancelled; re-booked for Nov. 27, 2021... fingers crossed.
Did they tell you when your final payment is due. I was booked on this cruise but final is due 7/29.

Through our site we can see how many cabins are booked by category. Every sailing in aug, sept oct had 20 cabins booked or less. No cruiseline would sail a ship with those low numbers.

I have the CDC card. I have the original payment sheets from Medicare for the administration of both vax. I also have the vaccination sheet from the Texas Dept of Health. It would be hard to forge ALLthose documents, so i am confident there wouldnt be any question that i was vaccinated.

Im a TA and believe what they tell me, they are a lot more honest with others in the industry than the public. I do not agree with the way this is being handled, especially the August cruisers, but nothing can be done about that.

I have the CDC card, the Medicare payment sheets for both vax and the Texas Dept of health immunization documents for both vax. I believe in wearing a belt, suspenders and rope to hold my pants up.

No dry dock is scheduled. State of Hawaii and NCL are in disagreement with how to handle a fully vaccinated cruise and the Safe Travels documents to be able to enter the state. Bookings are waaay down for sailings in Aug, Sept and Oct.
-
I have the CDC card, the payment sheets from MEDICARE showing both vaccines were given plus the TEXAS Health Dept administration record of both jabs of vaccine. All info crosschecks with each other, so I dont see how it wouldnt be enough as proof of vax.

Some of the best conversations I’ve had are people who smoke yet say they aren’t getting the vaccine because it may cause cancer or other issues in the future. More times than not it has nothing to do with health and their rational makes no logical sense. You really can’t make some of this stuff up!!! 😂
Interesting fact, during the vaccine trials, they found that smokers and people taking steroids did not get the virus. It was an environment the virus did not like.

Poa will Sail again, but not anytime soon. Are you stillPlanning to just island hop in the fall?
Yes, I have alternates in place for land trip. I have rebooked both cruise and air twice and everytime i do the fares are higher. I wont rebook air again. Cruise with confidence ends 11/1, so my crujse in late November has final due 120 days ahead, 7/29.

Hawaii refuses to accept the CDC masking policy for fully vaccinated people. They have the lowest count of Covid cases and the most vaccinated people in the USA. Will Pride of America EVER sail?? I'm beginning to wonder, you can't even fly there without testing.

Log In to My NCL to see the excursions available on your itinerary. Note the point here Starting 90 days prior to your sail date, you can Log In to My NCL to reserve your specialty dining for every night of your cruise.
The 90 days clearly refers to dining and NOT to excursions.
