Surprised that the OBC is the same for Interior, Window and Balcony.

We changed the 4 night  ( using the on-line feature) and will have to  decide what to do with the 3 night that is not included in the  formal cancellation.  I'll crunch the  numbers to look at the  best option.

When you changed using the online feature did you choose a cruise other than one in Option 1 and if so did you get anything other than the popup letter that I posted earlier? I just entered the sailing details (Ship & Date) for the cruise we wanted and then the letter popped up ... no confirmation email or anything.

Not that I could tell as C&A balcony discount, state and senior discount weren't applied until after completion of the who's sailing info.

I found the link for the discounts on the page asking number of guests ... the link is really small at the bottom of the page

$100 ( we had a prom interior  cabin)  for the cancelled one, nothing for the  attached B2B  that is  $300 more for me to sail.

The cruise just following our weekend is not offered.

Yikes that is awful ... we are looking to book an alternate one for a different  month. Will cancel one of the B2B for a refund and use the other for the "new" cruise.

Challenge right now is the full summer 21 schedule is not out yet and we have until 7/29 to rebook or lose the $100 OBC. The one we have picked out will end up saving us a few hundred ... sorry your ending is not pleasant ... 😞

  4. Just went through the redemption page to book a different cruise - not listed as an option on the price protection. Once you've added all the details of the cancelled cruise and selected the desired cruise the website was rather abrupt and not very informative ... hope to get an email or something for follow up

Thank you for submitting the Mariner of the Seas Option Request Form!

Please be sure to save this page before closing your browser as this serves as a confirmation of your submission. We'll review your selected option and action it based on your request.

Please note, if you previously opted for Cruise with Confidence, no action will be taken.

And, if we don't hear from you by July 29th, or if you submitted inaccurate information, your reservation will be cancelled.

    Thank you!

  5. Same thing happened to us for our Brilliance out of Tampa on 3/2 ... We booked Mariner for this Oct to visit Coco Cay and Brilliance to visit Key West & Cozumel ... one woman in our roll call lives 1 hr from PC and booked Tampa to get away from the Bahamas.

Thing that is frustrating is that no compensation was offered like an OBC ... just we changed your vacation and we're happy we did it. If we cancel/change to a cruise that does visit Cozumel and not Key West, we end up paying $200 more to basically get what we already chose. 😡

  6. Met him once as we were exiting a Top Tier event ... struck up a conversation with him and he was more than pleasant and affable. Have a picture of him with me and the DW and found him to be very gracious.

Saw him several times around the ship that week and he was always friendly and gave a smile with a nod ... he's like anyone else you meet on a cruise ship ... going about their daily activities and enjoying the life at sea ... for him it's just a full time gig! 😄

  7. Was on Brilliance in Feb and every night the overflow section was open to the Viking Crown ... seldom was there an issue finding a table. Enjoyed the dedicated bar and server too ... made it more personal and never waited for service or a drink.

The Diamond Concierge, Ann, was very friendly. My DW saw her studying the D passenger pics ... assume so she could get to know our names/faces.

  8. Have used Diamond Concierge to book the back stage entertainment tour and they usually offer to print your boarding passes. Have seen them arrange meetings with passengers & a rep for issues like shore excursions that were a problem.

Some are chatty & social while others are more let me know if you need me types ... have found them all to be pleasant & helpful if you need anything.

What was the reasoning in the email?

    Dear Guest,

We have a few itinerary changes to share with you for our upcoming March 2,2020 Brilliance of the Seas sailing.

Over the past few months, we’ve been hard at work transforming our private destination, CocoCay, into Perfect Day at CocoCay and we’re excited to share that you’ll now experience everything it has to offer. Instead of visiting Cozumel, Mexico, we’ve added Perfect Day at CocoCay and the beautiful port of Nassau, Bahamas to our itinerary! To accommodate all these exciting changes, we’ve adjusted our departure time in Key West, Florida. Below, please find our updated itinerary.

Discover all that the Bahamas has to offer! While in Nassau, explore the streets and tunnels of the lost city of Atlantis! Whether you wander the city, swim with dolphins, or get a close glimpse of the 250-marine species in the underground aquarium, you won’t be disappointed.

Then, while in Perfect Day at CocoCay, you’ll see that this mighty island is packed with new thrills and even more ways to chill. With several new attractions added to our lineup, like Oasis Lagoon, Thrill Waterpark, Chill Island, plus much more, you’ll find yourself planning your next trip here in no time! To find out more about how you can spend your time in Perfect Day at CocoCay with us, click here.

Any pre-paid Royal Caribbean International shore excursions scheduled for Cozumel will be refunded to your original form of payment. Any affected Royal Caribbean International shore excursions booked for Key West, will be rescheduled for you by our Shore Excursions team. Within the next 3 business days, you’ll receive an email with your updated excursion details. Then, feel free to browse through our Cruise Planner for additional excursions that may interest you.

Thank you for understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard your Royal Caribbean International vacation!

    Sincerely,

My DW contacted Customer No Service and noted that it was understandable to have to change iternaries for weather, political unrest, repositioning or mechanical issues, but expressed dismay at this which was clearly aimed at maximizing profits on their private island. The response she received noted that they regretted to have change itineraries, but sometimes it was unavoidable due to

weather, political unrest, repositioning or mechanical issues ...

True though on a recent cruise our cards were not ran until past the happy hour times & the drinks ordered in the main DR showed up on our final invoice. They were removed with no issue once we got home and I disputed the charges with customer service. However, still a bother to follow up ... but would imagine with an early dinner it would not be an issue

  11. Have done both but it depends on the lounge. On Oasis there is a dedicated server later in the evening and multiple ones earlier in the evening. So it depends on the logistics ... though I had to be careful since I tipped one server $5 after the fist round and he decided to serve the DW champagne in a wine glass and kept topping it off for her ... she had a GREAT time but I had to babysit her the rest of the night ... LOL!!!!
