I'm on the November 26th cruise and my travel agent forwarded me the first email yesterday which did mention the engine issue. It was only today that they sent another email and mentioned the refund. I feel lucky that they cancelled Port Canaveral rather than Nassau (a port that I'm not too thrilled about either; been there often). While I guess it depends on what you paid for your cruise, one day's fare comes to over $300 for me. That's a few specialty restaurants or a shore excursion in Nassau. Okay with me.

I went on the Joy the week after Thanksgiving in 2022. As a previous poster said the first and last sea days will be cold. Bermuda was comfortable (60s/70s), but nothing like the Spring or Summer. I remember that Thanksgiving Day was the best weather of all where I was able to spend quality time in the Vibe without wearing a jacket.

I spent this past Thanksgiving on the Joy in Bermuda. All the football games were shown. Decided to have the turkey in the main dining room and I think it was a mistake. Turkey definitely tasted processed and the small dollop of stuffing was not as good as Stovetop. Probably should have opted for the buffet to get real carved turkey. Thought this quality would be served in MDR. My mistake.

We went on a 9 day NCL Alaska cruise on the Spirit this past August. First time to Alaska and it was fantastic. The only down size was on the day we were supposed to visit the Endicott Glacier, the captain decided to forego it because there was too much ice to get close. In Juneau we did go see the Mendenhall glacier so we could at least say we saw a glacier!

We did it when we were in Alaska this past August. It was awesome. We never ziplined before this!

On my Alaska cruise on the Spirit this past August 15th, got emails the afternoon of embarkation day, only after I complained to guest services that they didn't send me anything even though they knew that all the suites I was bidding on were already booked.

We took it in the morning (it was fantastic). I think it depends on how long your ship is in port. By taking it in the morning, it allowed us to then go into town and have lunch and then walk around a little bit. I guess you could just walk around and eat in the morning and then take the train in the afternoon too.

3 hours before we checking and all 3 bids (balcony to penthouse suites) all still pending

Have 3 bids in am sailing tomorrow morning on the spirit out of Seattle and all still pending. No emails at all

Yeah so I deleted the first QR code and started again. Since both of us were now in there as travelers, I got a new QR code which had both of our names listed. Thanks.

I put in my information (passport, vaccine info, etc.) into the app and got a receipt barcode. I added my wife's info later as an additional traveler. Is my receipt good for her also or does she need her own individual receipt?

I've never zip lined in my life (I'm over 60; wife over 55) and this place says that the zip line here is the highest drop in the world (that's what they say; not sure if it is true) like being dropped off the Empire State Building.. When we are hopefully on the NCL Spirit next week, we are booked on this zip line! Wish us luck!

Just my luck they would end the testing in September. I am sailing on the Spirit to Alaska a week from today. Oh well...

Wasn't on NCL, but I was on a RCCL cruise a few years ago during All Star Week. They showed the game, but it wasn't through the Fox Sports feed. It was some sort of an international version of ESPN. Maybe you will get lucky.

I was on the Escape in 2016. Unless they have changed things, there are 2 pools close together on one end, one for everybody and one designed for little kids. There was also Spice H20 on the opposite end, which was adults only.

Will be taking the Spirit to Alaska in mid-August. Does anyone care to comment on the general condition of the ship (crew, cabins, restaurants, common areas). We took the Spirit back before she was renovated and am interested to hear some opinions. Thanks!

Yes I was going to remove my post. When I tried to do it via a different web page (my actual summary) I was able to buy it for myself.

Got the free wifi (certain number of minutes) when booking a 9 day cruise to Alaska in August. Would like to upgrade to the premium version with streaming. Shows a price of $259.91. When I tried to purchase it on the NCL website, it only gives me the option of purchasing it for both passengers, at double the price. I only want it for one of us. Has anyone else encountered this? Seems like false advertising to me.
