I Brooklyn is similar to a Manhattan. A Brooklyn is made with dry vermouth and with Amer Picon - which is not always easy to find.
Nico was one of the bartenders at Eden. When I mentioned the Brooklyn, he was intrigued (he was very into mixing cocktails) and he did some research. I don't remember what he used as a substitute for Amer Pico.
We had many a nightcap there with him and Tatiana behind the bar.
