We did a HAL cruise in Alaska last year and there were a significant number of LGBTQ folk onboard; it did not have the Martini Bar atmosphere, though. We met a couple of people at the first night's get together and had drinks a couple of night and also dinner afterwards. It was much more laid back cruise than the repositioning cruise on the Summit (and the ship was a lot emptier!)

Sometimes guarantees are the only thing available (Alaska for us a year ago). We got a decent balcony but with the ship very empty I called and got good location. (I know, this is not typical). Many people opt for guarantees, so "never a good idea" is not correct,

I just did mock bookings for a cruise, first for one and then for two passengers, for each I did cruise only and all included. The difference between all included and cruise only was about the same per person, so that statement does not seem to hold true.

If early announcement of party themes are important; check out Vacaya! They announce it months in advance. 😄 For the Jan 10, 2022 cruise they announced the themes on Sep 12, 2021.

We have done three cruises on Celebrity: one a regular repo and two Vacaya charters. We had a good time on both. On the repo there were a good number of gay guys on board and every night the Martini Bar became a gay bar!

I did get the "guest copy" with the email but I am unable to see anything on my account - the reservation is there but no details, none of the other OBC I am to get with the booking. My TA is checking with Celebrity.

I submitted a copy of my RCL trade on Thursday and got the confirmation on Sunday. Where do you see it in your account? I don't see much details on my reservation. It says Check In start September 11th; will it only appear then?

Just booked a cruise and will use the stock OBC benefit for the first time. I have an Etrade account - do I send then the full statement? It is six pages and my name is only on the first page of the PDF.

They charge you for bringing your own wine onboard, an item that they sell themselves as part of making money. Some restaurants will do the same thing.

That is OK because the passengers' final disembarkation was in a Canadian port, so the American PVSA law does not apply.
