Curious.....can you choose a specific cabin (such as on the hump/angle) if able to be put into a group rate or are you limited to choosing within a specific "block" of staterooms that the TA has for this rate?

You can choose any cabin in the category that is available. TA’s do not hold specific cabins. For example if the TA has 5 C1’s in their group they can sell any 5 C1 cabins at the group rate they secured. However they won’t have group space available in all cabin categories.

  2. No stairclimbers. The free weights are okay but the area is very small and there are usually a few people who commandeer the whole area and make it a challenge. There are lots of videos of the gym on YouTube.

HIIT classes are usually between 8 and 10. Maybe look at a current sailing for a better idea. I know I've done them early around 8am on an S Class ship, maybe it was Reflection, because I was one of two signed up. The trainer was a giant Slovak man who I'm fairly sure was trying to get me to barf. Definitely had no need for other workouts on that ship after a 45 minute class with him.

What I cannot believe is that for summer 2025 there are no Celebrity cruises out of Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral only out of Miami and that is the Beyond. Why????

Reflection will do short Caribbean cruises for summer of 2025 but they will not be announced until late March. Unsure what the port will be. Those itineraries are going on sale 2 months later than originally planned so something happened that caused a delay. Port Everglades is always light in the summer and they seem to have a lot of construction and projects going on around that time. Beyond homeports in Miami from May 2025 to at least April 2026.

Royal Caribbean Group's terminal G at Port Miami will be rebuilt and completed in ~2027. As part of that plan Royal Caribbean Group agreed to double passenger volume so it's fairly likely you see more Celebrity ships in Miami in the future.

I thought you could no longer move a deposit to another cruise.  Once you make a non refundable deposit it is completely lost if you change sailing date.

The only time you completely forfeit the deposit is if you cancel. You can move the sail date with a $100 per person change fee.

Last year our move up bids to aqua were successful and were at a minimum offer for them.  People are booked under guarantee basis such as myself.  I been watching some "openings" this past week for guarantee basis, which means that they keep open a certain amount of cabins.  Perhaps these cabins are the ones that were returned from travel agents back to Celebrity?

They do not just release a few cabins here and there. The inventory, not specific cabins, allocated to TA's would have been given up by the end of December at the very latest.

It looks like other ships are anchored, If you turned around for a medical emergency, and other ships are there, why not stay?

Capt Kate did a great job explaining this on a video she posted. She knew despite explaining it as clear as she could it would still stir some complaints. As she said "this puts us in a little bit of a pickle".

  7. Touchy topic. In reality Celebrity just doesn't carry many kids, at its peak less than 8-9% of passengers. I'm not sure why the blog that covered this chose to pick it up since it's not necessarily news. There are other red flags, so to speak, that point to the push for more kids on board like the recent 3/4th guest sail free promotion and now incentivizing travel agents to book guest 3/4/5 in cabins.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse or if I'm missing something, but according to the newest schedule which appears in post #75, nearly all 2025-2026 sailings should be available...well... now. Am I reading it wrong??

The short Caribbean cruises were not announced as planned in early February. The date for that deployment is now the last week of March.

Why would they include SJU departures with the "short Caribbean itinerary" releases? Cruises out of San Juan are typically at least 7 days.

They won’t include San Juan cruises in that announcement. Summit will most likely be doing 2-5 night cruises from FLL or MIA after Sept 2025. Without a redeployment any potential return to SJU would be for fall 2025/winter 2026 cruises at the earliest.

Wondering this myself. And what is showing on the site is ONLY ONE itinerary. No way to book a B2B out of San Juan for the foreseeable future.

Not until at least Fall 2026/Winter 2027 at this point (if that). There are 12 departures from San Juan from October to December 2024 on Summit. Then Summit goes to FLL to do charters for January and February 2025 and there is nothing for sale on Summit past September 12, 2025.

Short Caribbean (2-5 night cruises) for Fall 2025/Winter 2026 go on sale at the end of March. Summit will most likely be included in those announcements.

I purchased a future booking certificate and left it with Celebrity.  I was told that I would have 30 days after booking a cruise to transfer it to a TA.  WRONG.  I booked a cruise and found a TA I wanted to transfer to.  Used the transfer form and it was denied because it was  beyond the 30 days of purchasing the certificate.

The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.  Typical with Celebrity.

If I ever purchase another (doubt that I will as I just got off of a MSC cruise in the YC that puts Celebrity to shame), I will get it in writing signed by the Future Cruise salesperson.

    Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

They really need to include this info on the Book Later form. It is correct that the cruise booking date is the date you purchased the certificate which begins the 30 day period you have to complete the transfer.

OT: Since I know you're a TA I wanted to ask you a question. Do TA's or Celebrity's own booking agents have access to bed placement on E-Class ships? I know the trick to figuring it out from the Deck plans (since Celebrity doesn't given indications on the Deck Plans) but I'm wondering if there's a Cheat Sheet so to speak.

There's nothing in the booking that would indicate where the bed is. All of Celebrity's own material has the asterisk to indicate stateroom configuration may differ from what is shown in photos.

I transferred my booking to my TA over a month ago and she still waiting for it ..she has phoned them three times and they keep telling her it could be another two weeks… this was never the case with past cruises… what’s going on ? Wondering if this is happening to anyone else .. seems strange to me.

That's not right. It's an automated process that should complete the same day. Did you get the confirmation email and use the correct phone number for the TA?

  14. Deck 15 (one deck above the pool) moving towards the aft is full sun and tends to be the last to fill up. The area port side under the ship name on the funnel is also a little more shielded from wind. The space in front of the Retreat sundeck entrance is sometimes forgotten too. All bets are off after the first sea day when all of the hidden spots have been discovered.

I realized I made a mistake. I meant the transfer from Civitavecchia to Rome by Celebrity.

If this is the one you are referring to it says the Ostiense Station.

and guarantee flights if delays happen.

That's quite an overstatement from the TA. They will try to reaccommodate you. If there is a cancelation or delay your first contact should always be the airline not the third party. There is also no guarantee they get you to the ship. If there are no feasible flights or availability there is nothing they can do.
