  1. Thanks you @ijscheerand @AstoriaPreppy. I appreciate the info. We will see if that is who they still use. I looked at their website, but could not find the English translation on my phone. It has been a long time since my high school French days, but I got the idea. Our first food excursion was cancelled and we were going to just tour on our own. We have been to Quebec before, but it has been a long time. When we saw that we will be there over Canadian Thanksgiving we thought it might be wise to book a tour. We will enjoy the sightseeing and hope to find some good ice wine.

  2. Hi Jim -

I am enjoying this review, as always.  I know I need to check in daily or I get too far behind.  My husband and I are doing the New England /Canada itinerary on the October 3 sailing, the last one for the season so I am looking forward to your visits to those ports.

I was wondering about the wine selection on board.  I noticed the menus are still showing Inniskillin ice wine for a dessert choice, however when we were on the Millenium in May for the Pacific Coastal there was none onboard. Have they resupplied?  We have some spare onboard credit that my be worth splurging on a per glass upcharge.

  3. Whether your onboard credit is available prior to sailing depends on the source of the OBC.  If it is from Celebrity it is available in your cruise planner.   If it is from your TA or another source, such as VISA points, you may not see it available until you board.

  4. I am interested in this transfer for my May 14 northbound transfer, however I do not see it available to book and when I call it seems to only be available in combination with a stay at the Capt. Cook hotel.  Does anyone know how to book this without a hotel stay?

  5. We did this exactly in March of 2020 on the Reflection.  It was to be our first back to back.  As Covid spiraled and the country closed down we decided to cancel the 2nd leg under the new CWC program.  We were able to contact Celebrity shoreside by phone at no cost to us.  It was arranged by guest services.  If you are sailing in Suite or concierge class you would probably be able to get some assistance from the concierge.

  6. We are sailing next week on the Equinox and just received an email regarding the Go Green program.  I had seen earlier threads regarding this.  If the only change is that the 2nd service is still received but more of a “straightening up” than a full cleaning I am fine with it.  I do still want twice daily service as it is nice to have fresh towels if needed and a turned down bed (with chocolate of course 😃).  Has anyone done this and what did you think?  TIA

Hi --  They do take a little while to get back to you.    Not sure if the are open every day when ships are not in port.

The cost was flat $95 for the entire day.  I believe they open at 9:00 and you have plenty of time to do both the Northern and Southern routes.     They give you a map with all the beaches and points of interest noted.

    Thanks Jim-

I did receive a reply. Thanks for the info. It looks like a really fun day. Hope all is going well as you prepare for your next trip.

If the drink is over $13 then they charge the extra amount plus gratuity on the whole drink. So a $14 drink becomes $16.52 and the overage is $3.52.....however this is a thing with RCG. Sometimes they will and sometimes they won't. Depending on the bartender they might charge you nothing, $1 or the whole $3.52.

Also when I become diamond in Jan. I will still be getting either the soda or refresher package, if not staying in a suite. I won't ever drink more than 3 alcoholic drinks in a day but I needs a smoothie, some PowerAde and a couple of Cokes.

I have not been on Royal since 2019, but will be Diamond from Celebrity next time I sail.  With the new voucher system, 4 drinks is sufficient for pre-dinner drinks and wine with dinner, but I will want coffee, orange juice, and water during the day. How does it work if you have the refreshment package.  Do you tell your server “use my package?” Or do they know if it is already covered?  I don’t want to “waste” my vouchers.

  10. Hi Jim-

I’m late to the party, but have been lurking as usual.  You should get a commission from Celebrity.  After following your trip we just last week booked the Equinox for the 9 night ABC itinerary at the end of October.  I would appreciate it if you could add some information about the golf cart rental on Bonaire.  I have emailed them to check availability and waiting for a reply.  Could you please tell me what the cost was and if it was daily or hourly.

I loved all your photos and insights and am already lurking on your new Pacific Coastal thread.  Enjoy!!
