  1. was thinking about the beach but not sure of the costs, safety ect

We went to Paradise Cove Deadman's Reef and snorkeled. Transporation to/from is included in the price. They pick you up at the port and drop you off there as well. Never snorkeled before in our life, but they showed us how. We had a great time. Well worth it and would do it again. We never felt unsafe.

They also have other activities as well. Check out their web site.

  2. Freeport is an industrial port. Once you get off the ship there's shopping and food in the immediate area. However, there's no walking around beyond that. Anything you want to do requires transportation.

What kind of things does your traveling party like to do?? I'd hate to recommend something you're not interested in.

  3. I was sort of OK with the cabin I chose after talking to my PVP, but I really didn't like the fact that they never told me at all. If I wasn't obsessed with checking all the time, I wouldn't have known until I got on the ship and I would have been so mad that my cruise would have been miserable.

So keep checking your booking. This is true for everyone because you just never know. I didn't have a change in occupancy, a handicap cabin, or anything, just a plain old 4A. And yes, I was VERY happy I got my original cabin back :D

Will do!!! Thanks again for the heads up.

  4. American Table info:

This new complimentary dinner concept is currently on the following ships: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Pride, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Triumph and Carnival Vista. Please note: This experience may vary slightly among these ships.

It's on the Valor now as well. They switched with this sailing.

  5. Still playing around with Ebay and Paypal. Their support sux, they say oh it is a security issue, or a systems issue. No one can override the system according to associate. This is crazy. I got 1 card on daughter\s account and it started the same BS cycle. Even if you make it thru verification it then circles back and does the same thing. You would think they are aware of the problem. I sent several emails with no reply.

  6. Thanks MtnDweller, I guess the PayPal rep was not correct, after doing some research I think I have figured out what the issue is. I am pretty sure that I have to have my bank account linked. Now just to wait until it activates.

Hope it works out for you.

The last few times this was posted, it didn't work for me. During the last sale, I added my bank account, but alas, I couldn't score any of the cards as the sale was over before my bank account could be verified. Now that it's attached, I was able to purchase without any issues at all.

So don't lose hope. This sale is good until October 1st (I believe)

  7. Thank you. I have my CC tied to Paypal but no Paypay credit. That must be the issue. Again, thank you.

I don't have PayPal credit and I was able to purchase some for the first time ever. I've always had issues when trying to purchase these cards. I only had my debit card tied to PayPal, but recently added my bank account.

Do you have your bank account attached? Perhaps that's the problem.

  8. Like always the weather can be hit or miss. Check the forecast for the Bahamas often so you will know how to pack. It's pretty comparable to the weather in Florida.

We went to the Bahamas this past February. We wore shorts and snorkeled in Freeport at Paradise Cove Deadman's Reef. We did the Frommer's walking tour in Nassau and were sweating. Had an awesome time though! When we got back to Charleston, it was a bit chilly.

  9. Exactly this, especially if you notice a price drop.

This is what I did. Originally booked Early Saver rate on an OV and price went up right after booking and came down to original rate just after final payment. Kept checking for a price drop and it never happened for an OV, but the price dropped for a balcony. Scooped it up in a heartbeat for not much more moolah.
