  1. There are lockers for rent, but I don't know where they are in relation to the cabanas. Personally, I would not leave the camera in the cabana while you go swimming. I've read on here about people sneaking in them and stealing food. If they steal the food, then what else would they take?

We aren't renting a cabana, but we will rent a locker for my daughter to stash her SLR while we're snorkeling.

  2. $40 price by booking with cruise or by who? Sorry confused.

    Thanks.

Sorry, just now saw this. The $40 price is Paradise Cove's price, not Carnival's excursion price. Carnival charges $79 for the same excursion.

  3. We are in our first ever Ocean Suite, and she offered us a Grand Suite for a mere $598.00 more!:eek::eek: I told her thank you very much, but we just can't afford that.

Our last cruise we had an OV. Got a call offering to move to a GS for $600. I turned it down as the $600 was the difference between the two rates. Nothing special there.

  4. Wonder if they will update their website. Copied from Carnival.com FAQs.

We offer three different types of plans that can be purchased for either a 24 hour period or for the entire length of the cruise at a discount - price for voyage plans vary by length of cruise:

    Social ($5 USD per day)

    Value ($16 USD per day)

    Premium ($25 USD per day)

OP received a discount. They had the Value Plan for a 6 night cruise and paid $72.

    16 x 6 = 96

If a discount weren't given, then the OP would have paid $96 instead of $72.

  5. Wife's sis was supposed to deliver her kid last week. Didn't happen, and now we have to cancel our departure that was leaving today. Hope my insurance covers this.

Unless you have "Cancel for Any Reason" coverage, I don't think you'll get reimbursed.

I'm sorry, you had to make that choice. You have to do what's best for your family situation.

  6. This was my 14th cruise and I never had a problem before, but I will never not check again. I know that it can happen anywhere. They also say that they can live in headboards. I will pull apart everything next time. I can't go through this again. It is so painful and itchy.

I am sure that it will be cleared up by October. I hope that they are addressing the problem on this cruise. Try to change the cabin # anyway.

I'm not going to change cabins as I am happy with the one I have.

  7. I was in cabin #7396 and my daughter was in #7398. I would really love to know if anyone else was affected. At first I thought they mosquito bites, but I knew they looked really different. Really tiny and in small line clusters. When I got off the ship and looked them up, I knew.

Do you not pull the covers back and check out the bed beforehand?

Well, I'll let you know in October. I just upgraded to 7396 last night.

  8. I guess I was just a little disappointing. I had no idea there was such a wealth of info out there and I would have thought the rep would have mentioned it instead of offering it as an upgrade.

I haven't been on a cruise yet but I feel like a veteran after perusing these forums :)

Unfortunately, not all PVP's will warn you of such things. Sorry you experienced this.

Have you called back to see if you can switch rooms?
